A/N: I believe you guys are gonna hate me but understand this is kinda part of the whole story. So don't kill me please. Enjoy the beginning.

"This stuff is good!" Dumbbell said as he took another bite of the cake he and Rainbow were eating. "How did you know it was a nice cream cake?"
"Well, me and my friends went here once when we each got tickets from princess Celestia." She said. "Except, the night went really bad for all of us."
"How bad?"
"To where you destroy the place, as everypony wants you to go home."
"Dang. That sounds like the time I ruin Score's birthday, hit by making paint bombs and threw them everywhere."
Rainbow laughed. "I hope that doesn't happen again."
They were inside of the building and they more talking after they kissed outside. Rainbow felt it was the right thing to do by kissing him.
"To be honest," he said. "I never usually like the Grand Galloping Gala. But tonight, I think my regrets have change and I love it cause you're here."
"Me too. I never thought I'd ever face the Gala tonight," Rainbow said. "But with you here, there's something that made this night a little easier on us both."
The lights began to dim down to being dark. The only shining thing was the chandler and only a little bit of light left in the room. It showed some ponies playing instruments softly and lovely and one mare singing softly making it romantic.
They saw ponies get on the dance floor and dance slowly. Dumbbell went to his date and brought his hoof out in front of her. "Shall we?" He asked.
Rainbow blushed and said "Oh no. I don't dance. I mean, I've never been taught."
Dumbbell smiled and grabbed her hoof anyway leading her to the dance floor. "You don't have to be good at dancing." He said."Just gotta make sure you don't fall."
He had his hoofs where her belt was like every stallion was doing. He placed her hoofs over her neck so she can get a hold of him in case if she does falls. Luckily, she never did.
They spin around a few times slow and gentle, he soon used one of his hoofs to spin Rainbow around like she was ballerina. The music got them to dance perfectly well with each other.
Rainbow thought she was gonna eventually step on his hoofs, but she never did, which surprised her. She kept looking down, making sure she don't. But then Dumbbell lifted her chin so she can look at him with her big magenta eyes. They were sparkling from the chandler above them.
This was one night no pony ever thought they ever forget. And they both hope to stay that way forever.
"See? Told ya it's not that hard." He said smiling to her.
She smiled back and blushed. "Well, I had a good teacher. Thanks for taking me here. I do apprentice it."
"I like to thank you for giving me a chance."
"I think I'm glad I- ah!"
She was cut off as he pushed her off him to fly across the room of ponies. Then there was a suddenly long smash of glass breaking before Rainbow could see what happen. She fell onto the table and was covered and safe by the sheet that holds the food.
Luckily there was no mess on her dress. She could hear loads of gasping and screaming. She got up looked seeing a crowd of ponies surrounding something she can't see.
Dumbbell arrived running towards her worried. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah. Why did you push me?" She asked.
"Because that chandler almost killed you. I didn't know what else to do."
She looked up and realized the chandler was gone. There was nothing the ceiling.
"Guess it was too heavy to hold." He said. He looked back at her and pulled her away from the table. He got we to where she fell on him and pushed him against the floor.
She looked at his blue eyes and saw how beautiful they were. Her heart beat fast as she was in the position. She immediately stood up lifting him up instead. "Are you sure you're alright?" He asked as he got back onto his four hoofs.
"Yeah. I'm not hurt. I'm surprised Rarity's dress is not ruin from the food."
Every pony, including them, saw the princess Celestia was walking into the room with princess Luna by her side looking worried. "Looks like the gala is cancelled tonight everypony." She said to her citizens.
"We'll have to do this another time." Princess Luna said. "Go and get some rest everypony."
Every pony was sad they had to leave. Some night that turned out to be for everypony.
The two Pegasus flew in the sky. Rainbow knew Rarity don't want her dress ruined, but she did not want to go in the carriage again. She actually wanted to fly home with Dumbbell.
"I'm sorry this happen." He said.
"It's okay. I say this night was exciting." She said.
"It was?"
"Yeah, cause..." But then she noticed something on his front left hoof. There was a small red scratch mark. There was a small piece of glass in it. She gasped "You're hurt!"
He looked at his hoof and shook it off. "Oh it's nothing."
"Don't say that." She flew closer to him and pulled the glass out with her mouth giving him a small pain. She tore off one of we white things that were on her collar part of her dress and wrapped it around his hoof.
"Um, you realized you ripped your dress right?" He said.
"Yeah but Rarity I'm sure will understand." She said still wrapping it.
He blushed of how sweet she has become for him. He smiled liking her. But he began to feel guilt for what he was doing. "Hey listen, Rainbow--"
"That outta do it." She showed him his hoof was wrapped.
"Thanks. Hey listen, maybe we should just keeps moving. You know just fly home."
"Oh come on. The night still young. How about we fly to my place and watch a movie?" She said.
"I'd like that. But I can't."
She was confused. "Why not?"
He didn't respond. He was so terrified and now he had to get her out of there.
"You know, most stallions never tried to show their true hearts to any mare before." Rainbow got closer to him smiling. "But you tonight, you are... my hero."
He blushed of her being so sweet. Before he could say anything, Rainbow decided to kiss him unexpectedly with her eyes close. She loved kissing him. He was so nice, she couldn't remember what was wrong with him.
Suddenly, laughter of male voices spread through the air breaking their kiss.
Rainbow and Dumbbell looked up and saw Hoops and Score laughing and Score had a camera in his hoof. He caught a picture of them kissing.
"Rainbow," he whispered to her. "You need to--"
"Hey Rainbow Crash!" Hoops got most of her attention. "It's chowder time!" Them he kick a big bucket of something real smelly. It dropped this weird green slimy stuff onto Rainbow Dash.
It spread everywhere on her. It got on her dress, her mane, and her face mostly. Her shoes were the only things that remain clean.
Hoops and Score high five each other while Dumbbell stayed in front of Rainbow Dash, surprised of her dress and her was ruined.
"Rainbow Trash!" Hoops and Score sang as the flew around her laughing too.
She only stared at Dumbbell and realized he was behind this too. He wasn't laughing or singing. He haut stayed there looking very sorry for what happen.
He looked into her magenta eyes and saw them about to tear up. "Rainbow Dash..."
But she closed her eyes and flew off leaving the stallions behind. Dumbbell flew after her leaving them two singing and laughing.
He flew and flew after her yelling for her to come back. She had tears fly away from her eyes as she flew. She didn't realized he hit something and lost one of her shoes and still continued to fly.
Dumbbell stop and grabbed the show looking up into the sky, watching the sad Pegasus fly. "Rainbow!" He tried again, but she never tried looking back. Then he gave up and only looked at her shoe with guilt spreading through him.
She flew and flew not looking back. But then a hook got a hold of her dress and ripped it off her as she still continue to fly to her home upset.
She flew through the doors and made it upstairs landing on her bed. She smash her face against her pillow and cried into it.
Tank was next to her and saw she was dirty and crying her eyes out. He slowly put his hand on her to make her look at him with such sad eyes.
"Oh Tank," she said barley breathing. "Tonight was the worst night ever."
