~ Mira's p.o.v ~

Light

That's all I saw as my tired deep blue eyes slowly pried themselves open. I let out a soft groan as I did so, which I guessed caused whoever was I the room to turn to me. I slowly sat up, but gritted my teeth in pain as my hand flew to grab my side, but nonetheless I still managed to push myself up. I tiredly rubbed my eyes and looked around to see that I was in a hospital gown.

"The hell." I mumbled as I ripped off the oxygen mask and the tubs that came put of my nose. I looked around and my eyes widened as I saw everyone from Anteiku, including Uta and Tsukiyama. I looked to my right and saw a certain blonde sleeping on the edge of the bed. My eyes widened a bit in surprise. But my gaze softened. I turned my gaze back to the others who were still in shock.

"How long was I out?" I asked. But no one said a word. Until Hinami flew up from her seat and wrapped her arms around my figure, my eyes widened a bit in surprise as she buried her face into my chest.

"You're finally awake!" She cried happily. I said nothing as she pulled away, I looked over to see Irima have a few tears running down her face while the others smiled. This caused the blonde boy next to me to slowly wake up.

"Mira?" He whispered. I only smiled in return. He launched himself at me and brought me into a hug, causing me to wince.

"I'm sorry!" He repeated as he checked to see if I was alright. I would simply smiled and told him that I was okay. He left to get me some food and alone time with the others not long after. We all sat in silence before I spoke up again.

"What happened?"

No one said anything for awhile, before Nishki spoke up.

"You risked you life for us."

I stared at him as I laughed.

"Oh, yah."

"Idiot! Shut up! You could've died! You need to quit being so reckless and think about how it could effect others, you were in a mild coma for 3 weeks." Nishki said as my eyes widened in surprise at his outburst. And I said nothing.

"Where's Kaneki?" I asked. But they all turned away.

"He joined Aogiri." Touka whispered.

"What!?" I yelled as I gripped the sheets and looked down.

"So we did all of that for nothing?" I whispered.

Again there was no reply, and because of that I got iritated.

"Why are you guys even here, it's not like you care." I mumbled.

"Idiot!" Touka and Nishki yelled.

"We do care." Irima, Hinami and Komo spoke, while Uta, Yomo and Tsukiyama nodded their heads in agreement.

"We care about you more then you know, Mira. You are now part of our Anteiku family, you always have been. Even if you are not a ghoul, that still doesn't change how much each of us care for you. And you proved that you cared for us when you risked you life for Touka and Nishki."

My eyes widened a bit at Yoshimura's statement before he countined.

"I knew that you were a reckless child when you first stepped foot in Anteiku, and from then on, I knew I had to keep a close eye on you, like Touka, you are like a daughter to me, and seeing you awake, that only makes me happier."

I gripped the sheets as I looked down. He saw me as his daughter? I've never known what a real father could be like. Until now. I felt a few warm tears escape my eyes. I never cried, especially not infornt of them, they've never seen a tear in my eye. My there I was softly crying to myself. My hands shook slightly as I gripped the sheets tighter. Soon enough a soft smile was placed upon my fragile face, which as tears streaming down my red cheeks, that dripped onto my shaking hands. I slowly looked up at the group of friends before me, and I could tell that they were shocked to see me cry. The tears ran down my face as I gave them a smile, letting out a shaky laugh.

"Thank you." I cried out

"Thank you! For being my family." I cried as I countined to smile at them, the tears clouding my vision. But I could tell that they were all smiling. At that moment, Hide came back in. I rubbed my eyes and watched as the others got up.

"We'll see you soon, Mira." Irima spoke.

"Try not to dye by then" Nishki spoke as I rolled my eyes. I watched as they all left, the last being Touka, who before leaving, turned and gave me a soft smile. It surprised me nonetheless I smiled back and watched as she walked out, leaving Hide and I alone.

"How do you feel?" Hide asked quietly.

"Honestly...everything hurts." I said as I let out a light laugh. Hide smiled in return and fed me some noodles. I noticed that he was wearing a red and white hat that his hair was a little longer. I smiled as I took his hat off and placed it on my head. I smiled up at him.

"Like he hair." I said.

He lauged as he smiled at me. My nose scrunched up once I smelled myself.

"I really need a shower." I mumbled.

"Yeah. You really do smell bad." Hide said, which caused me to lightly shove him. My cheeks grew red once I noticed how close our faxes were to eachother. Soon enough he leaned in, I closed my eyes as I leaned in, and soon enough our lips met. My lips melted with his as they moved in sync, he pulled me closer to him and I wrapped my arms around his neck. We soon pulled away for air and placed our foreheads together, giving eachother light smiles.

"I'm glad that your okay." He whispered.

I smiled at him before pecking his lips.

"Me too."
