"Move outta the way, Hisaki!"

The little pinkette girl with bright red eyes pushed the ravenette to the floor. She fell with a thud onto her behind, she said nothing as she as her black hair covered her face. She looked down, refusing to look up what so ever. She clenched her little hands into little fist and bit her lip from letting out a small whimper.

"Your nothing." The little girl, also known as Asuna said. The other little girl stayed silent and let the other girl throw insults at her.

"Please." She whimpered.

"Leave me alone." She whispered.

This only seemed to anger the 8 year old girl, who clenched her teeth as she walked over and picked up the ravenette by the front of her shirt, her red eyes staring into her deep blue ones.

"You think your're so perfect. Your perfect life and family, huh?"

She said nothing as her small hands clasp onto hers, which pulled her foreward.

"Your nothing." And with that she let her go and stomped off. The little girl stayed there, head down and said nothing. She was never good with the other kids, they always thought her life was better. If only they knew. She stayed there for awhile till she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked up with misty eyes only to see her teacher.

"Mira? Is everything all right?"

The little girl clenched her fist as she slowly got up and looked down shaking her head 'no'. She let out a little sob.

She finally looked up at her teacher, tears streamed down her face as she sobbed. She brought her small hands up to her face and rubbed her eyes as she sobbed once more.

"Why does everyone hate me?" She cried out. The teachers eyes soften as she looked down at the little girl. She sighed as she placed a hand upon her shaking shoulder.

"No one hates you, Mira." She said calmly.

"Yes they do!" She cried out as her head looked up. Tears ran down her red cheeks. The teacher softly smiled

"Let's call your parents, okay?"

She nodded her head as she was lead to the office were they called her parents. She was silent as her mother and father drove them all home. She kept her head down as they walked into their home. But before she could go upstairs to her room her father called after her.

"Mira." She stopped in her tracks and slowly turned around.

"Yes." She whispered as she looked down.

"Look up, when you are spoken to."

She hesitantly looked up.

"Are you being bullied?"

She said nothing as she looked over at her mother.

"What have we taught you?" Her mother spoke. Her father stepped foreward and struck his daughter. Her blue eyes widened as her head turned, she placed her small hand upon her reddend cheek. Tears stinging her eyes.

"Have you learned nothing!?"

She let out a shaky sob.

"Sorry father." She whimpered.

"Your weak." He spoke. As he left, with her mother behind her. The girl quickly got up and rushed to her room, shutting her door and sinking to the floor. Hugging her knees to her chest as she rocked back and forth, crying softly to herself

"They didn't mean it." She whispered to herself.

"Everything will be fine." She said as she tried to replace that moment with a happy one.

Hours later there was a knock at her door. It slowly opened to revile her mother.

"Mira?"

The little girl pocked her head out of her covers, her tear stained face glistening in the light.

"Get ready, we're going out to town."

She hesitantly nodded her head as she slowly got out of bed and grabbed her pink flowered patterned kimono. She slipped on her wooden sandels and tied her black hair in a bun, chopsticks holding it into place. She slowly walked out of her room. She meet with her mother, who was in a red kimono, which had white flowers. Her blonde hair in a bun with a red flower in it. Her father came out in a navy blue kimono and his wooden sandles. He smiled lightly at his wife and daughter, and the three went out into the town of Mino. They laughed as they bought foods and looked out at the beautiful stary sky. The little girl smiled as each parent held onto her little hands and swung her up. She giggled as they did so, completely forgetting the incident that had happened earlier..

They walked home and walked into their home.

My mother and father got to work once we were home and I decided to stay and play in the living room. I walked up to my mother and tugged on her arm.

"Mommy..play with me." She begged.

"Not know sweetie, daddy and I are working."

She sighed as she waited for them to finish.

"Giddie up horsie!" She yelled as she rode her father.

"Sheriff Mira, I need your help." Her mother pleded.

The little girl giggled as they all coutinued to play. Until screams could be heard.

"Stay back." Her father said as he walked up to the window and peaked out.

"Ghouls." He said. My mother freaked out as my father took us to the kitchen were we hide, until our door was broken open.

"Oh lookie here, a mommy, a daddy and a daughter."

"They'll sure be tasty."

The little girl let out a sob as her mother held her.

"I won't let you hurt them." Her father spoke as he ran at the ghouls with at knife. Only to be stabbed through the stomach. He coughed out blood and fell to the floor.

"No!" Her mother yelled as she got up and tried to run to her father, only to meet the same fate.

"Mommy! Daddy!"

"M-mira." Her father spoke.

"Run." Her mother said, before going lifeless, her blonde her sticking to her face as her face was stained with blood. Her father's golden eyes opened as blood stained the corners of his mouth. The young girl let out a sob as she ran out of the house and into the forest. She fell and scrapped her knees and leaned against a tree, crying, afraid of what would happen to her. She looked up and saw a ghoul who looked at her hungrily. She gasped as she looked down, awaiting her faith, only for nothing to happen. She looked up and saw a young male with blonde hair black eyes with red iris. She gasped as she looked away, expecting to be eaten, but wasn't. She slowly looked up to see the ghoul staring at her.

"Your...not gonna eat me?" She asked.

His eyes widened in surprise as his eyes turned back to a forest green.

"What, no!? I'm not that kind of ghoul." He said.

She looked at him with curiosity.

"Where are your parents?" He asked suddenly. She looked down, and that's all he needed to know that she was alone in this horrible world.

"I'm sorry. Uh, my name is Hioko." He said as he rubbed the back of his neck and gave her a closed eye smile.

"I-i'm Mira."

He smiled once more.

"Tell you what, how about you come live with me, and I'll protect you, all you need to do is wake up."

The little girl looked at him curiously.

"What?"

"Wake up."

"You gotta wake up, mira. For them, wake up."

And he was gone, the little girl looked around as the darkness surrounded her.

"Please, wake up, Mira."

Hide

She fought against the darkness that began to consume her, she finally reached the end of the darkness.

Wake up!

And just like that her eyes shot open, the light blurring her vision and a blonde boy in her view.

She did it

She was finally awake.
