~3~

Peter looked up at the figure looming above him with a hand outstretched to him.

"C-Captain America?" Peter asked stunned. Steve chuckled slightly.
"Been a while since I was called that..."

Peter immediately got his guard up. There was no way he could trust Captain America! He dropped an airplane tunnel on him awhile back.

"Anyways, are you alright kid? It's freezing and pouring rain. Why don't I take you home?" Steve asked in a protective way. Peter's eyes widened and he shook his head vigorously.

"Please Mr. Captain America sir, I can't go home..." he said sadly. Steve nodded and put his arm around Peter.

"Well then I don't see the harm in me taking you in for the night? Do you?"

Peter thought for a moment, but realized that it wouldn't be such a big deal. He couldn't go home and, he was really cold. Spiders and cold are not good together.

"Th-Thank you sir..." Peter said quietly as he shivered. Steve smiled.
"Of course, but please call me Steve."
Peter nodded.
"Thank you, Steve."

Steve took Peter back to a location that Peter did not know. It was a shut down hardware store. Peter began to panic.

What if this was a trap!?
What if the wanted to hurt him!?
What if they knew he was Spiderman?!
What if they-

Peter's thoughts shut off when he walked inside the dirty old building and was met with a high tech modern home. His face radiated surprise and Steve could tell.

"It's supposed to not be suspicious, that's why it looks bad on the outside." He explained. Peter nodded and looked around.

"Why don't you go clean up and I'll let the others know we will be having a guest stay with us." Steve said kindly. Peter smiled and thanked him as he went upstairs to a guest bathroom.

He stripped off his cold soggy clothes and stepped into the luxurious shower. The warm water released all the cold chills in his body and he felt much better when he stepped out into the steamy bathroom.

He walked into a guest room and saw a pair of clothes laid out on the bed. Trousers and a tank top. He threw them on and walked downstairs.

He saw Steve sitting on the couch with four other people. He slowly made his way over to them and they all looked back at him. Peter recognized them all from Germany. Black Widow, who was originally on his team, Scarlett Witch, Falcon and the Winter Soldier.

Steve smiled at Peter.
"Hey kid! Feel better?" He asked.
Peter nodded thankfully.
"Yes, thank you Mr. Steve sir." Peter said uncomfortably.

Sam laughed.
"Haha old man!" He teased and Steve smacked him on the arm. Meanwhile, Wanda and Natasha we're giving Peter a very suspicious stare. Peter looked away nervously.

"I never did get your name back in the alley?" Steve asked. Peter smiled.
"Oh! My name is..." he stopped. If he said his real name they'd knew who he was... but if he lied and they found out, well that wouldn't be good either.

He thought for a minute. Then he answered.

"Parker. My name is Parker." He said. Technically it wasn't a lie.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Parker. You know me already, so let me introduce you to the rest." Steve said as he pointed at each person.

"This is Natasha, Wanda, Sam and Bucky."

Peter waved and they waved back. However Natasha just looked at him suspiciously again. She leaned forward in her seat.

"So, Parker, what's your story huh?" She asked. Peter looked down.
"Well- umm, I got into, into an argument with my dad and well, it didn't end well. I ran away."

Sam scoffed.
"And tell me again why we care Steve?"
Bucky smacked him and Steve sighed.
"Because he's just a kid Sam, and he was outside in the cold, shivering in an alley."

Bucky looked up at Steve.
"Reminds me a lot of someone else I used to know." He said and Steve looked away. Peter was confused but didn't say anything.

Instead he refocused his attention to Natasha, staring him down. She was an assassin, and she scared Peter.

"Why don't I show Parker where he'll be staying?" Nat suggested. Steve smiled.
"That would be wonderful. Thank you Nat."

Peter gulped. Natasha smiled warmly, but Peter could tell it was fake. She threw an arm around his shoulder and tightly led him to a guest room. She locked the door as he sat down on the bed.

She stood above him and glared.
"I don't know who you are kid, but I can tel you're nervous and that usually means lying. So don't think I won't catch on to whatever you're hiding."

Peter gulped.
"Miss Natasha, I'm not hiding anything." He said in his best confident voice.
"Well then you have nothing to worry about." She said and backed off a bit. "Just know that if you are, I will find out."

Natasha stood up and left the room. She closed the door and Peter flopped down on the bed and put his head in his hands. What had he gotten himself into.

He was about to stand up when a ringing from his phone stopped him. He picked it up and looked at the contact.

Dad

Oh god no. Peter couldn't answer! He let it ring and when he saw Tony left a voicemail he checked it.

"Peter? Bud why aren't you answering your phone? Listen I know you're mad at me for yelling at you, but I had a good reason kid! I don't know where you are. Please Peter, I'm worried about you. Call me." Peter sighed but jumped up in shock when he heard the last bit,

"You know what, forget it, I'm coming to find you Peter. And you're in big trouble when I do."
