Todoroki stared at the ceiling of his office with a confused look.

'Do you still love her?'

The question from the boy continued to linger in his thoughts.

His first thought was you.

But he didn't quite understood why a boy he had never met before would ask that.

And who did he really mean? You? How?

Perhaps the boy shared a connection with you, was what Todoroki believes.

He sighed in frustration.

Not until a knock was heard by the door.

"Who is it?"

"It's us Todoroki!" Midoriya's voice was heard from behind the door.

The dual-haired man sat properly. "Come in."

The door opened to reveal Kirishima, Midoriya, Bakugou, and Iida.

"Sup! We brought our gifts~"
"Happy birthday again!"

The birthday boy stands up and headed towards them.

"You didn't need to, but thank you."

That was when Iida noticed the look on his friend's face.

"Are you alright?"

"Oh... Yes I am. Just thinking about something." He shrugs.

"Anything happened earlier?"

Kirishima curiously asked while placing down his gift along with Bakugou's.

"Nothing much." He lies. "Just met two kids named Shoma and I think the other is Shoichi."

Midoriya awed. "Shoma is a really nice name! I heard it means finding the truth."

Shoto pauses. Finding the truth? But he shakes his head thinking it was simply a coincidence.

"Actually... They reminded me of Y/N."

They widen their eyes in surprise. Most especially the eyes of one that had the ruby color.

"How so?" Iida asks.

"It's not really something big. But Shoichi, the young boy, asked me something... concerning."

"Which is?" Midoriya asks.

"He asked if I still loved' her'. Without a name—but it felt like he was referring to Y/N."

Their breath hitched, surprised.

Bakugou groaned. "You still not over her after all these years half-n'-half? To the point you'd make up this conspiracy bullshit."

Shoto purses his lips, furrowing his eyebrows at the older male. "I can't. And even if I can, I don't want to."

Kirishima frowns. "Why?"

"I'm scared to move on because moving on means accepting our fate as strangers—and I'd rather be heartbroken than to forget her." He mumbles, looking out onto the window.

"But it's unhealthy... You can't go on like this forever." Midoriya explains, voice stained with worry.

Todoroki clenched his fist and looked down in anger.

"Can't you understand? No matter how many times I tell myself I'm better off without her I just can't let go..." He mumbled in a frustrated way.

Kirishima, Iida and Midoriya looked worried more than ever while the other simply stared with a blank expression.

"I... want it to be her so badly." His face and tone dropped.

. . .

"Agh! I was so stupid! I shouldn't have done that!" Shoichi exclaimed in anger, balling his hair into his fists.

He and his brother walked side by side, entering their forest.

"Heh, guess we're even." Shoma throws a peace sign at him.

The older one furrowed his eyebrows and scowled at him.

"Its clear you're in fault the most here. If you sticked close to me, you wouldn't have gotten lost."

"You did suggest to buy the meat on your own y'know."

A vein popped out from his brother, dark aura surrounding him. "Are you saying you would rather let mom do the work again?"

"WHAT? NO. NEVER."

"Then watch it."

Shoma sweatdropped, brushing it off with an awkward grin.

"Still though, you can't tell mom about this. Especially when you did a critical hit half-asking dad about mom."

"I know. But I'm pretty sure she knows by now..."

Shoma shivered in nervousness. "Yeah.."

. . .

"I know what you both did."

Were the first words that came from your mouth after they entered.

The two immediately flinched and looked down.

"Ah..." Shoma scratched his head.

"Then you should know that Shoma started this." Shoichi said bluntly.

His younger brother jumped in his spot and gasped in bewilderment watching his twin betray him in his own eyes.

You sighed and frowned.

"But you should've looked after your brother as well. If you did, he wouldn't have gotten lost. Be more careful next time."

Shoichi scowled and looked to his side. "Yes mom..."

"And Shoma, even if this situation happened, you shouldn't have interacted much with your father."

Father.

Come to think of it, isn't it unfair for Shoto not knowing his sons? The thought popped up in your mind.

He was their father after all.

But you mentally shook your head, trying not to mind it especially during the situation at hand.

"I'm sorry ma... I just wanted to talk to him. I didn't mention anything suspicious though." He scratched the back of his head.

'Now it's my turn to get scolded.' Shoichi inwardly sighs.

He knew you'd save the serious parts for the last.

He even regretted it a lot since in the end, he wasn't able to recieve any answer from his dad.

"That's nice to hear. You both didn't say anything else right?"

The twins widened their eyes in confusion.

'Didn't the wind told her everything?' Was what both of them thought.

They looked at each other, lightly peeking to avoid any further suspicion from you.

And just by their eyes, they understood.

"Nope." Shoma shrugs his shoulders.

"Fortunately, no."

"I see..." You simply replied.

But they noticed something wrong tainted in your voice.

As if you expected something else in response.

But you quickly brushed it off with a soft smile. "Well, I'll go and hang the laundry. You both can go play if you want."

Shoma smiled and nodded while Shoichi stayed silent.

. . .

You placed down the basket filled with lightly wet clothes outside, in front of the wooden drying rack.

"Thank you for the sunny day." You thanked nature in a whisper and a smile, looking up at the cloudy sky.

You bent and picked up one of the clothes, clipping them onto the rack.

While continuing so, your thoughts soon wandered back from before.

As soon as the wind told you about the unexpected meeting between the twins and Shoto, you swore your heart skipped a beat.

As if everything stopped at that moment.

Your eyes narrowed, pursing your lips.

There weren't any complaints from the wind about the twins saying anything suspicious.

But you couldn't even tell if it's true.

After all, you can't manipulate them but communicate them.

So your quirk would work in your advantage if nature itself would willingly cooperate.

You were good allies with water, wind and plants while most animals would heed your call. The fire most especially was the worst to compromise with.

Your thoughts once again took back course to Shoto's.

The mere image of him that crossed your mind easily made your heartbeat race.

You badly wanted to tell the truth and open up to him.

But you couldn't bring yourself to. Maybe it was because you felt frightened of his reaction.

The fact that you couldn't tell how he would react makes your heart squeeze in pain.

But... You missed him a lot.

What if he was overworking himself? What if he's hurt?

You wanted--needed, his warmth.

To feel his loving embrace... and to feel his gentle arms wrap themselves around you.

Hot tears pricked your eyes, the droplets silently dropping onto your palm.

Your bangs hid your eyes but despite that, your tears wouldn't stop—and you didn't even bother to.

You hugged yourself and slowly crouched down onto the ground, nestling your head onto your kneecaps.

Times like these... you'd miss him the most.

From afar by the window on the second floor, a young boy with the hair color as white as pearls embodied with scarlet streaks stared with a blank face at his mother.

He hated it.

He despised it when he'd see his mother cry.

Every night, he could hear the faintest cries from across the room that would always make his heart ache no matter how many times he'd hear it over and over again.

It was sickening.

But this time, he knew what the missing ingredient he needed to give his mother happiness.
