Shoto's eyes locked with the child's.

E/C-colored eyes.

Nothing special but why did a spark flicker inside of him?

'This child gives me a special feeling although it’s the first time I met him.'

That was when the young boy snapped back to reality.

"Let me go! I need to find my brother!"

The worker sweatdropped, "We will, it would be faster if you'd cooperate with us."

"No!"

Todoroki frowns. "What's wrong?"

"We saw him wandering around the streets alone sir."

"I see. Are you lost?" Todoroki crouches.

Startled, the boy flushed pink. "No. I'm not."

"Where are your parents?"

"Alive." He crosses his arms.

Shoto furrows his eyebrows. Especially at the meat he was carrying.

"How old are you?"

"Eight."

"Are you alone?"

"I lost my brother and I'm bad in directions..."

"So you are lost..." Shoto mumbles. "How old is your brother?"

"We're fraternal twins."

"Are you an orphan?"

"No. I have my mom—" Then he stopped midway, sealing his mouth shut.

But Shoto heard it. "Where is she?"

"As I said, alive." He sassed, trying to follow his brother.

"Don't talk that way to Pro Hero Shoto!" One exclaimed.

The dual-haired man raised a hand, forbidding his subordinate to speak. The boy is just a child after all.

"Why won't you cooperate with us? You'll find your brother quick."

"I can do it myself!"

Confusion was an understatement. The child even have his father's own merchandise pins in his shirt so it couldn't be because he disliked him.

Shoto doesn't even know why he himself is putting up with this child.

But... something tells him that he should go further.

"What if I'd give you a personal signature? Will you allow us to help you then?"

"I already have your personal signature!" The boy proudly smirks, raising his head high.

Shoto rose a brow. Giving signatures to fans wasn't something he'd do. So where could the boy get such an item like that? Perhaps it was fake is all.

Unknowingly to him, it was from you.

"Then do you have an official figurine of me?"

'Why am I wasting my time with this child...' He mocked himself.

The boy widen his eyes. "H-huh..?"

Shoto mentally pumped his fist. He found the interest.

"Because I'd give it to you as a prize if you'd cooperate."

"So... you'd give it to me for free?"

Shoto inwardly smirks. He got him.

"Of course. First, your name?"

"Shoma!"

"Is that your last name?"

"My last name is the secretive part of me!" The boy winked, showing a peace sign.

"You have a lot of secrets for an 8-year-old.."

"Heh. Cool isn't it?" He smugly smiles.

'THIS IS SO AWESOME! FIRST TIME MEETING DAD AND I BET HE THINKS I'M ALREADY COOL.'

Sparkles started to emit around him.

Then Shoto pointed at the plastic bag he carried, "You bought those..?"

"Mhm!"

The man frowns. "Your mom doesn't do that for you?"

"Usually she does! But me and my brother willingly took the offer. Besides, my mama's already stressed out. We don't want to pressure her more." Shoma proudly grins as if he made a man out of himself.

"For an 8-year-old, you seem very independent."

"I know! Cool right?"

The way the boy happily grinned, somehow radiating a familiar aura that gave warmth to the man's heart.

And he for sure knew Shoma's aura reminded him of you.

"Well, let's go find your brother." Todoroki stands up, his mood brightened.

"Actually, I would've found him already without your help. All I need to do is flare a HUGE flame from my mouth into the sky!"

The man rose a brow. "Your quirk?"

The 8-year-old nodded before bringing out a box of matches and pulling one out.

He flickered it onto the box causing a spark to emit.

Then he consumes the fire alone before activating his quirk, throwing flames from his mouth to burn the already used match in his hand.

Todoroki lightly widens his eyes in amazement.

"A fascinating quirk. Do you wish to be a hero?"

Shoma's entire face lit up as he brightly smiles.

"Yeah! I wanna be a hero to protect my mom!" The reason reminded Shoto of his own mother.

"Let's go outside.. uh.. sir!" Shoma stuttered and quickly skipped outside.

'Whew! Calling my own father 'sir' sounds weird..' He sweatdropped.

Shoto simply followed the boy, wondering why he was still putting this up.

. . .

"Sir Shoto! Look at me, look at me!" Shoma jumped up and down.

Unbeknownst even to himself, Shoto chuckled at the giddy child.

"I'm looking."

"You better look! I'm going to look so cool!!" Shoma giggled to himself like the child he is.

"I'm cheering for you." Shoto went along with it.

'Don't mess this up, don't mess this up..!' Shoma thought to himself before facing the sky.

Then flames blasted above, enough to catch just a few attention from people.

"How was that?!" The boy turned to see his father's reaction.

"Very impressive, Shoma." Shoto showed a silent small smile, reminding him of how a proud dad would react.

Shoma grinned even more to himself, he felt himself bubbling in excitement.

"Thank you! Anyway, I'm sure he'll be here any moment!"

Suddendly, a loud yell was heard.

"SHOMA YOU STUPID IDIOT!!"

Startled, the boy flinched and immediately hid behind Shoto out of instinct.

The hero's eyes widened when the boy hid behind him.

Then he snapped back when his heteromatich eyes meets another pair.

Surprised, he and the younger male paused and locked eyes.

'Like mine. But the other has E/C.. like Y/N's..'

It was another young boy with white and scarlet streaks at the end of his hair while his eyes was a heteromaticha.

The first to break the contact was Shoichi whose surprised look turned to an angry one.

"Shoma! Why are you here?!"

The older one yells, averting his eyes from his father and instead onto his brother.

"I'M SORRY SHOICHI! Please don't tell mom!" He started to sob.

Shoichi growls before grabbing his younger brother's shirt, pulling him away from Shoto's back so now the twins were in front of him.

"You bet I'll tell her! Plus, I bet she already knows!"

"YEAH YEAH BUT I PRAYED THE WIND AND THE ANIMALS NOT TO THOUGH."

"What?" Shoto reacts with a confused look.

It seemed like the two were talking about their mother's quirk.

And the description easily reminded him of yours.

The twins widened their eyes and mouths agape.

"Shoma you idiot, you're really the most idiotic one out of all the idiots in the world. I could give you a stupid crown for your stupid idiot head!" Shoichi began to curse at his brother in whispers, looking at him with dead eyes.

Shoichi hits his younger sibling's head before quickly running away while holding his brother's hand.

"Wait!" Shoto calls out.

They weren't supposed to meet him this early. Meaning that they shouldn't interact with the hero.

That was what Shoichi believed—and he stayed true to it.

But... as a child who longed for a father and the happiness of his mother, he wanted to at least say something.

So he halts in his steps, catching Shoma off guard.

Shoichi squeezed his younger brother's wrist, making the red head worry.

Then the boy turns his head, barely enough for him to lock eyes with his dad.

"Forget it. Happy birthday by the way. My mom is a big fan of yours." The boy says and quickly left with his brother.

"Is she?"

"Yeah... She literally sacrificed everything for you." Shoichi chuckled to himself.

"Your name is?"

"Shoichi..." His cheeks blushed, he was talking to his father after all.

After a few moments, Shoichi couldn't hold it back. He wanted to know if hope was still there or if they lost it.

"Do... do you still love her?" He murmured.

Shoto's breath hitched while Shoma looked at him in shock. "What?"

"Nothing! Forget it! Bye!" Like light, he quickly left with his brother.

A few moments passed of the dual-haired man looking at the space where the twins once stood.

"... Why did it felt like he meant to say something else?" He murmured to himself.

The other three employees looked confused as well.

But one thought filled their minds.

'They looked exactly like Pro Hero Shoto..'
