The sun shone brightly, its light hitting your face.
You scrunched your face before slowly opening your eyes to see Shoto already awake.
"You're so creepy..." You closed your eyes again, snuggling into his bare chest.
"Good morning too flower." He blushed nevertheless.
You simply hummed, smiling.
Softly, he kissed you lovingly.
"Didn't expect to hear that first thing in the morning from my girlfriend." He embraced you tighter into his arms.
You chuckled, pressing your cheek on his chest. "Oh yeah? Well you're stuck with me now."
"No regrets." He said with a satisfied smile.
Shoto added, "You know... I talked the stars about you."
You peeked at him. "Did you now?"
"Mhn. I told them how badly I wanted to write 'I miss you' in a rock and throw it into your face so you'll know how much it hurts missing you."
"How romantic."
"I know."
You rolled your eyes before you rose up and playfully hit his face with a pillow.
"Alright lover boy, we need to get up."
"Whyyyyy. Stay with me." He grabbed your arm.
Eventually, you were pulled, falling into his embrace.
"At least wear your clothes. The kids may burst their way here."
"I locked the door."
"I'm sorry I believe I wasn't being obvious- that was an excuse, love." You smiled innocently, kissing his cheek.
So then you picked up your clothes from the floor.
"Ah, Y/N. I actually have some of your clothes in my closet."
You furrowed your eyebrows before turning to look at him.
"I can explain-"
"Well??"
"I had some of your clothes from highschool since you didn't bother to bring it back. You can wear my shirts since yours won't probably fit anymore. Although I'm sure your pajamas still fit you." He puts his hands up in defense.
You shrugged. "Acceptable."
"So... Can we bathe together?"
You paused and narrowed your eyes at him. "You know it's actually amazing how I'm still able to move when you were very aggressive last night."
"Your point is? You want to do it again?" He smiled.
"Pervert! Go behave and reflect on yourself or I'm leaving with the kids." You pointed at him, blushing.
. . .
After you took a bath, Shoto also finished bathing as well since he used the guest room.
"Y/N, let me dry your hair." He offered.
Seeing that he already prepared a hair dryer and a dry towel, you chuckled.
"Fortunately for you, I'm unable to say no to my adorable husband." You tip-toed to reach and kiss him in the lips in which he bent down as well.
"Y/N."
"Hm?"
"I love you." He reminded you.
You smiled as he continued,
"... You know, you were the first one who picked up my pieces even though you had cut your fingers on the edges..."
Shoto turned the blow dryer on and gently carresed your hair.
"I'm sorry." He added.
You chuckled. "You kept saying that to the point it sounds like 'I love you' to me now."
Your lover frowned before mumbling, "And now you have scars because of me."
The fallen pieces of shards from him that you picked brought you the agony that you had to endure for 8 years.
Though you had no regrets.
You leaned to his hands that caressed your hair. "Sure, maybe you do have broken pieces.. But I have as well. And you didn't leave me. Heck, you searched 8 years for me?"
Shoto blushed in embarrassed at the last part. He cleared his throat.
"W-well of course I'd search for you!"
You smiled. "I assumed you didn't. After all, you were walking on a well-built road."
"And that road was built by you. If the world knew I had children 8 years ago, I don't think I'll be standing where I am right now."
Eight years without you was like a paved road. Comfortable to walk, but no flowers grew.
You laughed it off. "But I guess the universe loves us too much and made us meet again, huh?"
Shoto smiled and nodded.
The present—this moment together with you— is what is of importance now.
"Your hair is in a different style than 8 years ago."
"Is it weird?" You relaxed at his fingers massaging your scalp.
"Not at all. I love this style on you as well. Anything would look good in you." He nodded, agreeing with himself.
Before you could reply, you remembered Shoma and Shoichi.
"By the way, are the twins awake?"
"Yes. They're making breakfast for us. It's weird." Shoto narrowed his eyes.
You laughed. "You're calling our children weird? How rude."
"No no, it's weird how yesterday I was just daydreaming this."
"You never know, this may be just a dream." You joked.
Then you felt him halt.
"Shoto?" You turned around and worry waved over you seeing his face going pale.
"Hey, hey! Sho it's alright. I'm here." You turned the dryer off before calming your lover.
The dual-haired man understood that he wasn't dreaming.
But the fact that you could still disappear suddendly haunted him.
Looking at you and your smile, he softened.
Shoto held your hand. "You won't go right..."
You smiled and reassured him. "I won't. It's always been you and I Sho. Of course, we have two additional family members now though."
The hero nodded making you smile.
"Let's go downstairs, yeah?" You held his hand.
He nodded again making you drag him out of the room.
Looking at your hand holding his, he murmured under his breath.
"If only I can put you in a cage... But I mustn't. Because by then, I'll lose your smile and love." He frowned.
You turned to look at him as you weren't able to hear him.
"Did you say anything?"
Shoto shook his head as his lips curved into a smile. "Nothing."
Arriving at the kitchen, you both halted hearing your twins bicker.
"Shoma stop saying nonsense."
"But isn't it weird? Your fingers have fingertips but your toes don't have toetips, yet you can tiptoe but not tipfinger."
'He has a point.' You and Shoto thought.
Shoichi groaned, enough of his brother's bullshit.
"Just shut up."
"Shoichi can we add sausages please." Shoma asked as he made the hot beverages.
"You cook it."
Nodding his head, he searched for the fridge and found sausages.
"That smells delicious." You and Shoto appeared before them.
Their eyes lit up as they went to hug and kiss you both.
"Morning mom, dad!"
New to this, Shoto was left nervous and flustered.
You noticed this making you playfully nudge your elbow to him.
"You gotta treasure this before they grow up and become distant Sho." You chuckled.
"Hey we heard that!" Shoma growled.
Even Shoichi was insulted as he crossed his arms. "I'm not sure you both realize how much we love you guys."
You awed. "My kids are the best."
Shoto smiled before a bright bulb lit up.
"Hey boys, want to learn something from your dad?"
Curious, the two focused their attention to their father.
You sat down and looked at them with a smile, curious as well.
Putting the sausages on the pan, Shoto first lectured his kids.
"In order to meet a successful result, one needs careful attention and concentration." He spoke.
They nodded in determination.
Using his left, Shoto let out his flames targetting the sausages. Not a minute passed and there were already perfectly cooked sausages.
"WHOA."
The boys' eyes sparkled making the hero smirk.
"Wipe that smirk off your face you dork. Kids, don't follow your dad." You threw a crumpled tissue at your lover before turning to smile at your children.
"Shoma, master it."
"I will!"
The twins ignored you.
You sighed making Shoto innocently chuckled.
"It's tasty though." He says as he put the sausages on a platter, placing it on the table.
Then the three sat together with you before digging in.
Both cooked omelets and toasted bread along with coffee and hot chocolate.
"It's delicious. You both know how to cook an omelet?" Shoto genuinely compliments.
"Mom taught us." Shoichi replied.
You smiled happily. "I'm so awesome."
"Yes you are." Shoto agreed, with a flowery expression.
Shoma giggled, excited that he has a father now.
"What are we doing today?" He asks, his small feet kicking from beneath the table.
"First and foremost, groceries. Apparently your father is unable to provide food for the fridge." You joked.
Embarassed, Shoto can't use the excuse that he was too depressed to go out.
"I was busy as a hero."
You just hummed. "Well that's fine now. After all, you have a housewife now."
Heart thumping out of happiness, Shoto looked at you surprised.
"So you'll marry me?"
Shoma gasped. "You both aren't married yet?"
Wiping off an invisible tear, you added. "I can't force your father to marry me anyway..."
Startled, Shoto sweats. "Wh-what? No! That's-"
"Dad, be a man." Shoichi scoffed.
Before you hit him with another crumpled paper.
"Respect your elders, kid."
Flustered, Shoto whispered. "So... want to get married this afternoon Y/N?"
You blushed and punched his shoulder. "SHOTO!"
He chuckled. "I was kidding."
"Didn't know you could joke."
Shoto sweatdropped before clearing his throat. "In all seriousness, I'm planning to buy a new house."
"Whoa, really?" Shoma exclaimed as Shoichi was also taken a back.
You looked at him, surprised. "You don't need to Sho. This house is more than enough."
Shoto shook his head as he crossed his arms. "I'm not satisfied with this house. We need a gaming room, a training room, a bigger and customized room for the kids and I want to design a house with you too."
"That's so cool dad!" Shoma exclaimed as Shoichi eagerly nodded.
You shook your head with a hopeless smile. "I guess you won't take no as an answer."
