The house was a complete mess.

Somehow you found out about the twins meeting their father.

Although the wind never told you, that didn't mean that there were still animals that followed your heed.

"No, you don't understand mom! What it was like to be jealous of other kids who had dads they could play with!" Shoma yelled.

You frowned. "Why didn't you tell me you met with your father? Several times that is!"

"Because we knew you'd stop us from meeting him ever again!" He sobbed.

You pursed your lips. You knew this day would come either way.

Shoichi nudged his brother's shoulder.

"Shoma, quiet down. Mom promised us that we'd meet dad when we get older. It was our fault for not listening to her." He scolded.

The youngest twin clenches his fist.

And before he could respond, you stepped forward in front of them before kneeling down.

"I'm sorry Shoma... To you too Shoichi. For not giving you a proper childhood." You frowned.

Guilty, the youngest stayed silent.

Shoichi's heart dropped. "No mom! You have nothing to apologize for."

As much as you were grateful for your oldest twin, you knew he shouldn't be as mature as he is in this age.

You rested your hand on top of your children's heads.

"You had no father to lean on. I thought I could fill in that job but that was silly of me." You lightly laughed.

It was petty but you feared the truth.

The guilt years ago burdened you heavily.

Shoma, blinded by embarassment and guilt, looked away.

"I... I'm gonna visit the internet café for a while." He murmured.

Gently smiling, you nodded in understanding. "Alright. Be back before dinner."

Shoichi mentally sighed, watching his brother leave the house.

"Won't you accompany your brother?" You asked, standing up.

He scoffs. "No. He's throwing tantrums, it would be a waste to even do anything."

You chuckled. "It was understandable why he was mad at me though..."

Shoichi frowned. "And it's also understandable why you're avoiding dad."

"I'm glad you understand." You laughed, ruffling your child's hair.

"More importantly, are you okay mom?"

Quickly, you nodded with a smile. "Absolutely."

Clearing your throat, you shrugged. "You shouldn't worry about it too much. You're still young."

Not wanting to concern his mother more, Shoichi scratched his head before heading to the kitchen.

Alone, you headed upstairs and locked your room.

Breathing in and out, you put your hand on your chest and sat on your bed.

You just didn't know what to do anymore.

You knew this day would come and yet here you are still unprepared.

"It'll be fine Y/N. Be strong." You ran your fingers through your hair.

You were scared and nervous.

Regrets started to fill your insides again, making you want to throw up.

The thoughts are accelerating inside your head again. You wanted them to slow down so you can breathe but they won't.

Would you need to face him? Would you still belong? Does he still love you? What would he think about the children? Would the kids feel uncomfortable?

You felt so sick. You wanted to call someone, anyone.

But suddenly your phone looked so far away. You can't reach it.

So far away, far away like him. Unreachable, like him.

Finally managing to reach your phone, you paused.

You didn't know who to call. It could be Bakugou but you knew he was meeting with Kirishima today.

And you can't deny it... but Shoto was the first thing that came to your mind.

Curling into a ball, your eyes travelled around the room, your face slowly going pale.

Until your blurred vision rested on a camera. An old one that is.

Reaching forward, you grabbed the camera before opening it.

( TW: END )

That was when your eyes twinkled at the treasure hidden inside.

Reluctantly, you pressed a button.

"Flower? What are you doing?"

Shoto's voice rang through your ears.

Your face softened, breaths slowly going back to normal.

You heard yourself giggle. "I'm recording. Maybe in the future we can watch this again."

Seeing Shoto just in the clip, color returned to your face.

"What though..?" He averted his eyes, clearly embarassed.

As the conversation went on, you closed your eyes and simply listened.

Sometimes even peeking to take a look at him.

It wasn't long before the footage came to an end.

Although it was short for your liking, you felt better.

That was when you remembered someone you can talk to.

Opening your contacts, you stopped and stared at your screen before shrugging.

. . .

After his visit to Bakugou, Shoto stayed inside his car for a while to gather his thoughts.

"Bring me back to past." He mumbled.

Quickly he shook his head. 'No. Don't stay at the past Shoto. You have children.'

Although he had to accept the past and move forward for the future, he can't help but miss it.

Times when you both would carelessly dance in the middle of the night just laughing.

Ah, to reminisce himself embracing you.

Yet now he's in doubt.

Even if he manages to catch you, would he still be able to hold you?

Until his train of thoughts were cut midway when his phone rang.

Shoto clicked his tongue. "I'm in no mood to-"

He stopped himself when his eyes widen at the contact name.

It was you.

"Fuck." His heart began to race.

As if like a middleschool boy crushing on a girl for the first time, he began to go nervous.

Even his entire system stopped working and shut down.

He didn't know what to do.

Until the ringing stop.

Snapping back to his senses, he wanted to punch himself in the guts for missing the call.

This time, it was his turn to call you.

But then he paused. "Would she recognize my voice?"

Frowning, he grunted and denied the temptation.

He had to be safe and sure. He shouldn't rush things.

Opening your conatct, he decided to just text you.

. . .

Mr. No Name
Hey darling.
What's wrong?

Flower 🌻
I'm sorry. Haha, I accidentally
pressed it. Just ignore it tho!

. . .

Somehow, he sensed that you were lying.

Perhaps it was because of the achievement he got for being a hardcore simp for you.

. . .

Mr. No Name
You know it's safe if you tell
me your problems. You don't
know me after all so I can't totally
judge you.

Flower 🌻
I just miss someone is all.
It's getting unbearable each day.

Mr. No Name
Well, I'm free to listen
to your rants:)

. . .

It took a while for you to respond so he got obviously worried.

That was when the most unexpected thing happened to Shoto.

You sent a voicemail.

Panicking, he was on the edge of his seat.

"You're a man Shoto. You can do this. This is nothing, you can handle this. You're a grown up-"

Until you sent another one.

"Y/N..." He said your name with a trembling voice.

Taking deep breaths, he finally recollected himself.

Pressing the voicemail, his heart leapt right out of his chest.

Your voice was just so majestically beautiful.

Oh what would he do if he heard his name right through your lips in person.

Though he can't help but worry.

You sound tired and concerned.

"Other than that, I feel guilty towards Shoma."

Until you mentioned his son's name. That was when he turned the volume up.

"We had an argument earlier about his father. And although I told him not to meet their dad, he did. So I was mad... But did I even have the right to? I mean, it is their father."

Shoto frowned.

Although he was glad to be able to meet his children, he felt guilty and wronged.

Just when he was about to send a reply, he was taken a back by your sudden text.

And it made his eyes widen.

Because Shoma...

May or may not, be in danger.
