"Todoroki.. You're a father."
Four words.
Four words did the blue-haired male said.
And those four words made heteromatich eyes widen.
Suddendly, Shoto's world started to spin different.
As if by magic, everything around him went slow.
Midoriya added, "If I'm correct- From what I remember, you mentioned the names Shoichi and Shoma. Coincidentally, both are your sons!"
His heart skipped a beat.
Tears threatened to spill from his eyes though the hero didn't even bother to fight it back as it rolled down from his cheeks.
The two beloved friends looked and approached him in worry.
"Todoroki-kun!"
"How are you feeling? Ah, we're sorry for being too blunt.."
"No no.. it's fine." He mumbled in a low voice.
Slowly, his lips curved.
The two looked at him in awe.
They swore a twinkle suddendly appeared in Shoto's eyes.
Todoroki stiffled a laugh and straightened his posture.
"I-Isn't this great..?!"
Even though he may sound calm, excitement was clearly expressed by his voice.
Shoichi and Shoma.
Two names that he once considered to be just names of two young boys.
But in a flash, those two names suddendly became his world.
"I need to find them. What school do they study? Damn, why didn't I ask them- I'll be off real quick, if-"
"Wait! Todoroki!" Iida stops his rants.
"What?" Shoto stated, a bit unhappy since the male interrupted him.
"... Why?... Why are you still looking for her?"
Iida's bangs covered a portion of his face as he was looking down.
"Hah? What do you mean I'm still looking for her?" Todoroki growled, his tone getting ferociously dark.
Midoriya sweatdropped by the scene as he frowned in concern.
"Todoroki! Open your eyes! She's not coming back! She left you! And to think that-"
"I dare you Iida Tenya! I fucking dare you to finish that sentence!" Shoto pushed the man unto the wall, grabbing him by the collar.
"You guys!" Midoriya rushed into the scene, pushing Shoto away from Iida as he was trying to calm both of them down.
To which without doubt did it went blur to the dual-haired hero's ears.
Anger bubbled inside of each part of him.
"You deserved more! She couldn't even give you a proper goodbye!" Iida reasoned back.
"I don't need a goodbye! I don't want a goodbye! I never even wanted to hear that word from her lips at all!"
"So what?! It's her again isn't it?! Again and again! Do you know how painful it is to see a friend suffer from hell that he doesn't even deserve?"
Midoriya looked at Iida in bewilderment and confusion. He didn't even know that was how he felt.
"No, fuck you! Fuck everyone one of you! You all would try make her look bad when I'm the true villain here..!"
"What do you mean?" The freckled boy asked.
It sort of took moments after processing that you got pregnant for the dual-haired man to realize it.
That he was the reason for all this shit. Or so what he believes.
Back at highschool, he was under the course that would train him to become a hero he always wanted to be.
You knew that.
And what of it? It ended up being an obstacle.
Knowing that he made you pregnant. An aspiring hero, moreover the son of Endeavor.
What would have become of his future?
So you suffered for him.
You suffered it all for him.
And not once did you regret your decision.
Shoto looked down, tears streaming down his cheek.
"She.. she saved me when we were kids.. And now she saved me yet again.. Hah.." He chuckled.
Only then did his two friends understood what he meant.
You walked away to save him fully knowing it would cost you your future and dreams.
Yet you did not back away.
"I can do this.. I will do this." Shoto declared. "And even if I can't, I have to."
Both friends stared at him speechless.
Not wanting to talk about it more, the hero decided to leave first.
Opening the door, Iida spoke one last thing.
"I understand that, but Todoroki.. You still shouldn't put your happiness in other people's hands. They'll drop it. They always do."
Shoto chuckled. "Brave of you to compare Y/N to other ordinary people."
Before continuing,
"And for the record? She doesn't hold my happiness in her hands. Rather, she keeps it in her heart."
. . .
Shoto drove away to a particular place before stopping his car in front of a forest.
He left his car and continued walking deeper into the forest.
Until he reached a certain cliff with a big old tree.
The dual-haired man's lips curved upwards as he stares at the tree's bark that had been carved into letters.
Letters that never failed to make his heart flutter.
T.S x Y.N
He mumbles out the abbreviations of your name and his.
Indeed did he head to the meeting place you both shared ever since you were kids.
It was always his safe haven- his getaway place.
The spot gave him sense of comfort and he always felt safe as he could detach himself from everything and everyone around him there.
He then sat down and leaned his back onto the tree.
"Come to think of it, we never named you at all." He chuckles, talking to the plant.
Oh. He also brought his strawberry milk.
A must have that he would always bring.
. . .
"Cheers! To future pro hero: Todoroki Shoto!" You laughed, raising your carton of strawberry milk.
Shoto goes with the flow and raised his own too. "For our happiness." He smiles.
You eagerly nodded before both of your carton boxes bumped each other and chugged them all in one go.
. . .
Shoto chuckled at the memory.
Especially how you both treated strawberry milk like beer or vodka.
Oh how he wished he could go back to those carefree days.
"8 years ago.. You were here.." He sadly smiled, grazing his fingers at the grass that you once would sit.
The wind brushed his face as petals and leaves surrounded him.
That was when a certain cat made an appearance.
Jet black fur with a resting sly look. Not that it was evil- he simply looks like that.
The hero turned to his side to see the familiar feline.
"Kuroo. You came at the right time. I still have enough milk for you." The hero gently smiled.
Kuroo was a stray cat who'd usually bring flowers or seashells to him.
Shoto guessed it was you who'd ask the cat to do such.
. . .
Holding a toy ball and Shoto's hand, you dragged him towards somewhere.
"N/N, what's the rush?"
"I found this really pretty place! It has plenty of flowers that I could talk to!"
'You don't need to talk to nature all the time.. You have me too..' Was what Shoto wanted to say, but couldn't as he kept it in his thoughts.
Then you both arrived at a beautiful meadow where various of colors bloomed from flowers.
"Look! They're all so pretty! I had enjoyable chats with them- they were all super fun to talk to!"
You dropped down and softly grazed at the flowers before chatting with them showing a smile.
Shoto stared with twinkling eyes, admiring the 'view'.
"Isn't it pretty?" You laughed.
The boy softens his gaze at you, taking his time to appreciate your smile. "Yeah.. very pretty."
Until the sound of a cat meowed. Or more like a kitten.
You and Shoto turned your head to see a black kitten playing at a small pond.
It seemed to be having fun too.
Stars shone in your eyes as you let out a long awe.
"Aww~ Hi fella! Want to play?" You asked, putting your toy ball down.
That was when the kitten stared in curiosity at the ball before lunged at it to play.
You grinned at the small feline while Shoto showed a small smile as he crouched down.
"He seems fond of the ball."
Reaching out your hand, the kitten moved away from the ball and hopped to nudge his wet cheek on your palm.
You laughed before taking out a handkerchief. "Here, I'll dry you up."
You carried the kitten who happily meowed and showed a grin as he felt warmer.
"Sho-kun, think of a name, yeah?"
Shoto thought for a moment before deciding.
"Kuroo."
. . .
That was when he noticed the cat was bringing a flower.
Shoto widen his eyes before patting the spot beside him, welcoming the cat to lounge with him.
And so Kuroo did after he gave the pink flower.
Quickly, he brought out his pocket book that contained meanings of flowers.
He always kept it with him since it was a gift you gave years ago.
Indeed had he truly put it into use.
Ever since the day you first gave him flowers after you disappeared, he wouldn't leave his house without the guide.
Eagerly flipping the pages, thrill sprouted on his face while Kuroo happily drank the rest of the milk Shoto gave.
"Ah. It's an Azalea."
Azalea
Take care of yourself
for me
Shoto's eyes widen before his whole face softened.
A smile made it's way to his face, happy that he crossed your mind for a moment.
That was when Shoto thought of a bright idea.
"Kuroo. Please wait for a second. I have somewhere else to visit, I'll be back." The hero stated, giving a small scratch on the cat's cheek.
A few moments after, Shoto came back with a soft purple flower.
Kuroo stared in awe as he have always been a curious cat.
He sat back down on the ground and showed Kuroo the flower.
"It's a Primula Marginata. A kind of Primrose." He says, remembering his flower guide.
Kuroo meowed in astonishment as he knew Shoto got it from the nearby meadow- the place where he first met the two.
"Can you... Can you please give this to her? It'd mean a lot.."
Kuroo purred as he grabbed the flower and fled away before giving one last look at the man as a goodbye.
Shoto nods as the cat soon left.
He leaned his back unto the tree again, looking at the wide sea.
'I wonder what you're doing right now darling.. I wish I were there doing it with you too..'
Primrose
I can't live without you
