Chapter 3: Momo, Momo, Momoko!

The rest of the school week passed by in a tired blur. Thankfully Ouran had hour and a half long lunches, so she was able to find places around the school to take naps during that time. Unfortunately, she had barely made a dent in the make-up work so her nights of staying up late to play catch-up seemed to be never ending. And because life loved throwing one thing after another at her, she had to perform at a concert that night.

She had gotten a few extra hours of sleep that day, so she had a bit more energy, but she was totally going to take a nap after the concert.

She had arrived at the venue and had just finished with hair and make-up, by the end of the session she looked just like her old self. She had a wig as well as hair extensions to get the same color and length as her hair before it was cut and dyed. After hair and make-up, she put on her costume and she looked in the mirror, assessing what she was wearing. Her dress tonight was mainly pink and white, with ribbons strewn across it and a ruffled skirt. In her hair she had a bow tying the fake hair into a braid.

"Momoko you're up in a few minutes!" One of the stagehands said, poking their head through the door.

"Thank you for informing me!" Setsuko said, clapping her hands together and giving them a big smile. Right now, she wasn't Setsuko or Itsuki, she was Momoko, one of the top idols in Japan.

She took a deep breath and clapped her hands together before stepping out of her room and turning to everyone back-stage with a wide smile and sparkles surrounding her. "Alright everyone! Let's do our best to make this concert spectacular!"

"You got it, Momoko!" Everyone cheered.

Setsuko giggled and waved, watching as some of their faces go red before she turned and started to walk on stage, adjusting her microphone until it sat comfortably on her head. She took a deep breath to calm herself before running on stage, flashing the crowd a wide smile, and waving.

"Wow! There's so many of you out there!" She leaned forwards and placed her hand over her eyes as if she were trying to search for something far away. "Momoko can barely see those in the back! Are you guys even there?" Near the back of the venue, the crowd went wild and Setsuko could see lightsticks moving wildly. "Oh wow, there's so many of you! Momoko is so glad you took time out of your busy lives to come and see her, that's just... Peachy!"

"We love you Momo-chan!" The crowd cheered out.

"Momoko loves you all too! Now what do you all say to some songs!"

"That would be Peachy!" The crowd responded.

The rest of the show continued like that, and after a full show of singing and interacting with the crowd Setsuko was ready to sleep for a month. After she finished her last song, she grinned towards the crowd. "That's it for the concert, but remember, there's a handshake event in the main lobby and you can still pick up a few handshake tickets before the event starts!"

"Thank you Momo-chan!"

After freshening up her make-up she went to the lobby of the venue where there was a crowd of people waiting for her. She grinned and clapped her hands together, "I'm so excited to meet you all! Remember, one ticket is a five second handshake!"

Everyone lined up and Setsuko stood on the other side of a table, exchanging a few words with some of the fans before they left the venue. Most of the people there just said how much they loved her voice, or how she was so cute performing.

"Momo-chan!" A familiar voice shouted out and Setsuko looked ahead of her to see a familiar child-like third year sitting on a tall teen's shoulders. Huninozuka 'Honey' Mitskuni and Morinozuki 'Mori' Takashi, they have attended quite a few concerts that she'd taken it upon herself to memorize their names. "You were so cute up there! The pink on your dress matches my Usa-chan!" He grinned, flowers starting to surround him. "Takashi, give Momo-chan the tickets." Setsuko watched as the taller one dropped a stack of tickets into the box.

"Fifty tickets." The tall one, Takashi said

"Looks like that's four minutes Honey-chan! Let's make this handshake Peachy!" Setsuko said, giving the two of them a grin. She reached forwards with both hands, one for each of them.

"You know, Momo-chan, you should perform at our school!" Honey exclaimed. "I'm sure the school would love you!"

"Oh, what school do you go to?" Setsuko asked, placing a curious look on her face.

"We go to Ouran Academy." Mori said.

"Yeah, the club we're in could hold an event for you! Momo-chan won't you please perform for us?" He leaned forwards and looked at Setsuko with wide eyes, flowers starting to surround us.

Oh my god he's adorable. Setsuko thought, "Momoko will have to talk with her manager, but she might be able to find some time to perform!"

"I hope you can! Wouldn't it be amazing if she could perform for the Host Club, Takashi?" Honey asked.

"Yeah. It'd be nice." Mori responded, looking off to the side.

"Well, Momoko will see what she can do!" Setsuko said, giving the two of them a big smile. An alarm beeped and she put a sad expression on her face. "Oh, it looks like our time is up! Can Momoko expect to see you two next time?"

"Of course!" Honey exclaimed while Mori just nodded. "Until next time, Momo-chan!" He waved goodbye and the two of them walked away, allowing for the next person in line to go.

She had made it through the entire line and was finally on the last person. He stepped up to the table and dropped a stack of tickets into the box looking at Setsuko with an almost predatory look in his eyes, though she wasn't able to see much more of his face as he was wearing a mask and a ballcap. "Three and a Half minutes. I've been saving up for this moment."

"Wow! Momoko is so honored that you're such a dedicated fan! Thank you, mister!" She reached her hand forwards and saw that he clasped it between both of his own.

"No, I should be the one who's honored. Being able to be this close to Momo-chan makes me excited. In fact, I haven't been this excited since I went to your house."

"Momoko's... house?" Setsuko asked, looking at the man's face.

"Of course. It took so long to find it, but once I did, I was so excited I had to go over there that very moment. I was a bit upset to see that you weren't there, but I still got a reward in another way."

Setsuko's gut twisted inside her as fear bubbled up. She was face to face with the man who had been following her for the past three months. And he was holding her hand. It took all she had not to pull away and run from him, stalker or not he was still a fan, and she didn't want to do anything that would risk lowering her rank. "You... you're very dedicated!"

"You have no idea. I wish I could spend more time with you than right now, but I don't know where you are anymore, I will find out, though, so don't worry. The two of us will be together eventually, Setsuko."

The smile on Setsuko's face finally fell, and a lump of fear moved to her throat, preventing her from speaking. She glanced down at the timer, one and a half minutes left.

"I don't understand why you're running from me, Setsuko, the two of us are meant to be together, and if you stop running away, you'll see that our life together will be... peachy."

"I'm sorry, it seems our timer is broken. Your time is up." Kuwata said walking up to the man and placing his own hand above his. "Would you kindly make your way out?"

The man moved his gaze from Setsuko to Kuwata and scoffed before he looked back and Setsuko and tightened his grip for a second. "This isn't the last time we'll see each other." He released his hand and walked away.

The moment he was out of the lobby Setsuko sat on the chair behind her, placing her face in her hands as she tried stop shaking and calm down. She had seen him from afar, but this was the first time he made direct contact with her, and she was terrified.

"I'll contact the police tonight. This creep has made contact and has to be stopped. I'll walk you to your dressing room."

"Thanks." Setsuko said. She pushed herself up and the two of them walked through the back hallways to the dressing room, where she immediately headed to the bathroom connected to it and washed her hands multiple times, probably using half the soap provided just to get the feeling of the creeps hands off. Once she was satisfied, she wiped off her make up and started taking out her hair extensions before sliding off her wig. She looked at her reflection and placed a hand on her cheek. Without the make-up she could see how tired she looked. She had dark circles under her eyes, and she was paler than normal. She was a complete like a mess.

She took a deep breath and continued getting out of costume, once again becoming Itsuki. Looking in the mirror she felt a sense of safety fall upon her. She wasn't safe as Momoko, or as Setsuko, but she was safe as Itsuki.

She ran a hand through her hair before zipping up her bag and stepping out of the dressing room, where Kuwata was waiting, his phone held up to his ears. He sighed and flipped it closed before looking over at Setsuko.

"The police say they're doing what they can, but it's hard to find someone they don't know the appearance of." He pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed, "We'll get this creep, and once we do, he's never going to bother you again."

"Thanks."

He smiled and ruffled her hair. "Anything for you, kid. Now let's head home."

"It seems they haven't gotten any headway on the idol stalker case." A boy said, looking down at his laptop and scrolling through the police file on his laptop, stopping at a picture of a familiar black-haired boy. His glasses glinted as he smiled slightly. "Interesting."

"What was that?" A blond teen asked, looking over towards his friend.

He just looked up and gave his friend a "Nothing of importance."

Setsuko was beyond tired. After Saturday's concert she had to spend almost all of Sunday doing her homework. She ended up getting five hours of sleep total throughout the entire weekend. It took everything she had just to stay awake for her first three classes.

By the time lunch rolled around she could barely walk and couldn't care less where she took a nap. Normally she would try to find somewhere secluded but now, she would throw out all her dignity and lay on the ground and fall asleep. She walked along the hallways until she found a windowsill with a ledge big enough for her to sit on.

Once she got on the windowsill she got into a comfortable position and leaned her head against the window. Looking down at the hedge maze, she felt the warmth from the sun and started to doze off, closing her eyes and letting the warmth and sleep wrap her in a safe blanket.

"What's with the crowd?" A brunette asked, standing beside a pair of identical boys. In front of them there was a crowd of girls whispering to each other and fawning over whatever, or whoever, they were looking at. "Is Tamaki-senpai doing something in the hallway again?"

"I don't think so." One of the boys said.

"There would be more sparkles if it were him." The other added.

The three of them walked up to the crowd and pushed through towards the front to see what the girls were looking at.

Sitting on a windowsill was Kuwata Itsuki, his head resting against the windowpane, one leg dangling over the edge of the windowsill and the other leg bent up and leaning against the glass. The sun shining in highlighted his features and made him seem almost otherworldly.

"He's so beautiful, like an angel." One of the girls around them said. "He totally fits his nickname!"

"I could watch him sleep for hours." Another said, cupping her blushing face with her hands.

"If he were a host, I'd visit him every day."

The twins glanced at each other with a mischievous look and stepped forwards before the brunette grabbed onto their arms. "Oh no, you're not dragging him to the club, let him sleep. If Kuwata-senpai wants to join he'll do it himself."

Suddenly the bell rang and Itsuki shifted, blinking open his eyes as took in a breath. He looked towards the crowd of girls and tilted his head tiredly "Good morning." He muttered with his voice still heavy with sleep.

The crowd of delved into excited whispers and squeals as they watched him run his hand through his hair and yawn. He brought his knee up to his chin and rested his head on it, still waking up from his nap.

"Um, Kuwata, we're going to be late to class, want me to help walk you there?" One of the girls offered.

Itsuki looked at the girl with half lidded eyes and smiled, "I think I'll take you up on that offer, thanks."

The three hosts watched as Itsuki pushed himself up and walked down the hall next to the girl, a few other girls following him as he walked down the hallway.

"It's only a matter of time before the boss hears about him and tries to recruit him." One of the twins said, a smile on his face.

The other nodded, an identical expression on his own face. "This will be fun."

The next day after classes Setsuko was sitting in the library doing some research for a report. She had asked the driver to pick her up an hour later than normal, so she had some time. With a sigh she closed the book she was reading and put it on the return cart. She placed her hand over her chest and took a deep breath, feeling a slight discomfort as she did so. She needed to stop by the bathroom.

She slung her schoolbag over her shoulder and walked out of the library, heading to the closest bathroom.

"Uh, Kuwata-senpai." A voice asked and Setsuko tiredly looked behind her to see a girl standing there, her cheeks slightly pink as she fidgeted with her hands. "Do you... do you have a girlfriend?"

"A... girlfriend?" Am I getting a love confession? But I don't even know this girl...

"Yes, if you don't Have one, I'd like to go out with you!" She bowed, her hair covering her face from Setsuko's view.

"Me...?" Setsuko placed a hand on the back of her neck, she wanted to reject this girl but she didn't want to break her heart. She was quiet for a second before she gave the girl behind her a soft smile, "I'm sorry, I-"

The girl froze before looking down with a saddened gaze, "I should of known, you're already spoken for, aren't you?"

"W-wait that wasn't what I was going to say!" Setsuko said, but the girl had already turned and ran away before Setsuko was able to finish what she originally meant. She let out a sigh and shook her head, hopefully this wasn't going to become a regular occurrence. A sudden pain in her chest reminded her of what she originally set out to do, and she made her way to the bathroom to get a small break. As she walked towards the bathroom she sighed and hoped that nothing more came from that love confession.

--

You all know what time it is!

**

Kuwata: Okay, truth or dare?

Setsuko: Truth

Kuwata: How many hours have you slept this week?

Setsuko:

Setsuko: ...Dare

Kuwata: Go to bed.

Setsuko: I don't like this game.

**

Setsuko: People are always asking me if I'm a morning person or a night person.

Setsuko: And I'm just like, 'Buddy! I'm barely even a PERSON!'

**

Setsuko: 'Person of interest' is almost too flattering.

Setsuko: Like, if the police were to pound on my door and go, 'A man has been murdered in your building and you are a person of interest,' I'd be like, 'Moi? Oh, do go on.'
