POV; ⊣∷╎ᔑリ/ Xelqua

I awake with a groan and sit up slowly in my bed.

There is a dull pain in my head, but I can't remember why.

I scoot myself to the edge of my bed, putting my feet onto the floor. I sit there for a moment then realize that something is off.

I reach my hand up to my face and feel a mask there. Not just any mask though, a Watcher mask.

I stand up carefully and walk over to the mirror in my room.

I look at my reflection and sure enough, I have on a Watcher mask just like all the others.

I shrug it off, 'I probably don't remember getting the mask because I was tired.'

I wall over to the door of my room and open it. I dont know why, but I have the sudden urge to go and inform Prince Aiden that I have awoken.

I walk out of my room and followed the corridors all the way to Prince Aiden's office.

I pass a few other Watchers on my way  there, they turn to look at me for a second, go wide eyed, then hurry off to wherever they're headed.

I ignore their behavior and assume it is because they fear me now that I have accepted my full potential as a Watcher.

'Really, others should be more grateful of the honor it is to be one.'

When I arrive at the doors to Prince Aiden's office, I knock.

There is a moment of silence before someone calls "Come in".

I open the door and walk up to the desk at the back of the room.

There was tall bookcases along the back wall of the room. With windows leading to the void on the side walls.

As I approach the desk the Watcher, who is Prince Aiden, stands up and walks infront of his desk.

"I see that you have accepted your role here. I'm glad that we're finally on the same side now." He says, smiling.

I nod my head in agreement and Aiden reaches his hand out to shake mine.

We shake hands then Aiden walks over to one of the corners of the room where a couple of chairs were.

He gestures for me to follow him and sit in one of the chairs across from him.

"You're probably very confused right now as to what happened. Do you recall any of the events that happened?" Aiden asks me.

I think for a moment about what happened but it's all blank, nothing but darkness.

"No, I don't remember." I say to him.

Aiden nods his head, then explains. "You were injured in an attack with the Admins a few days ago, I was able to heal you with my magic but you apparently didn't recover from your head injury."

"Oh" is all I say in return. I look down at my hands and notice my Watcher mark is purple now instead of Blue.

Aiden follows my line of sight and makes a slight hum noise.

"I raised your magic level in the healing process. You're wings will grow in sometime during this next month or so." He says to me while waving his hand in the air, and rolling his eyes.

I look back up at him, surprised. "My wings?" I knew all Watcher have or get wings but I wasn't expecting that I would.

"Yes, you'll get wings just like the rest of us." He says to me.

My mouth moves to speak but I'm at a loss for words.

"Now that that's clear, there is a few other things we need to discuss." Aiden says while sitting up straighter in his chair.

"Y-Yes sir." I reply.

"All of the Watcher students from two years ago, this is your group, will be assigned their own servers to look after." Aiden says.

"Now, because you're special, I'm sending you to a server I want you to destroy. And to leave no witnesses behind." He finishes.

I nod my head and smile. "Yes, whatever you say Sir."

Aiden smiles and stands up, he walks over to his desk and grabs a file then walks back over and hands it to me.

"This contains all the information you will need to know about the server I want you to destroy." He says with a evil smile.

I take the file and flip it open to look at the server name, The Dream SMP. 'What a strange name.'

I continue to look at the player list and other useful facts about the Sever before Aiden orders me to leave.

"You have two weeks to prepare yourself Xelqua, don't disappoint me." He says, then shuts the door infront of me.

I hold the file tightly in my arms and walk to my room.

'The Dream SMP huh, to bad for them. They're about to become history, right after the next two weeks.'

~Time skip~

I lunge at my opponent with my sword, aiming for their neck.

The opponent brings their sword up just in time though and a clang is made from the swords hitting each other.

The opponent brings a strike down towards my legs and I jump back, countering with my own attack at their chest.

My attack is successful, and the opponent disappears into a puff of purple magic dust.

"Nice job Xelqua, you're one of our best fighters." I hear Morden complement me.

I turn around to face him and give a slight bow.

After a few more rounds of training, it is time to leave. I walk back through the halls to my room.

As I walk down the corridors, a hand suddenly covers over my mouth and another pulls me over and into a room.

The room turns out to be the infirmary and the hand that was covering my mouth, lifts off so I can speak.

"What was that for?" I ask the one who pulled me in here. They turn out to be Zayne, and Noelani.

"We just need to talk, okay?" Zayne says to me.

Him and Noelani were the only other ones, besides me, in the infirmary.

"Okay, what do you need to talk about?" I ask them. I'm getting bad vibes from them and I feel I need to inform Prince Aiden about this immediately.

"I wanted to show you this new crystal I found. I've been told it explodes when dropped or thrown. The damage is so big it could blow up this entire building." Noelani says while placing a red and orange crystal in my hands.

I look down at it with wide eyes full of fear. I try to give it back to her, but I'm stopped by Noelani having a sudden outburst.

"Now!" She yells at Zayne.

He quickly reaches over to my head and tries to pull the mask off of my face.

I want to stop him but I can't because I'm holding the crystal in my hands.

The mask burns around the edges and I grimace in pain before it finally comes off in Zayne's hands.

Noelani quickly takes the crystal from my hands and looks at me with caution.

I press both of my hands to my head and groan.

I feel my legs give out but Zayne catches me so I don't fall.

He helps me stumble over to a bed and sets me down on it.

Noelani had set the crystal back on a shelf and was now handing me a class of water.

I take the cup and drink, although the water tastes bitter.

"W-what happened?" I ask them.

Noelani sighs in relief and Zayne answers me. "You were under a mind control of some type."

"What!?" I ask trying to stand up off the bed but being pushed back down by Zayne.

"Aiden put you under his control, but we were able to free you." Zayne says.

"He is going to realize that you're free soon though, Xelqua you need to leave." Noelani says to me with worry.

"What?! Now?!" I ask, still trying to comprehend what in all of Minecraft is going on.

"There is a portal in the main courtyard." Noelani says to Zayne.

"No, there's guards there patrolling regularly. We can use the portal on the other side of the Facility." Zayne says to her.

"But that one glitches sometimes." Noelani says to him.

"It's a risk we're going to have to take." Zayne says back.

"Hello? Still here." I say to them.

Zayne and Noelani both turn back to me and Noelani takes my now empty cup.

Zayne grabs my hand and starts pulling me along out of the Medbay.

"Where are you taking me?" I ask him.

"To a portal so we can escape." Zayne says.

"We?" I ask him.

Zayne looks back at me then turns forward again. "We have wanted to escape for awhile now Xelqua, with you we just might be able to now."

Noelani follows us all through the halls as we duck and hide multiple times so we don't get caught.

Soon we reach a part of the Academy that I've never seen before. There was a tall obsidian portal in the center of an abandoned courtyard.

As we approach the portal a magic barricade blocks us from getting any closer to the portal.

"And where do you think you're going?" Aiden says from behind us.

We all turn around and face Aiden. Zayne raises his hands and puts up a magic sheild protecting all of us.

"Let us go, and things don't have to get messy." Zayne says to Aiden, who was joined by Morden and a group of other guards.

"I'm afraid I can't do that. It is sad though, I trusted you Zayne." Aiden says to him.

"That's your mistake, not mine." Zayne says back.

Aiden frowns and sends a blast right at us. This is the signal for the guards, because soon there is a full on battle taking place.

Zayne runs off to fight Morden with magic. Noelani starts fighting with the guards, leaving me to fight Aiden.

Aiden sends a blast of magic straight towards me and I roll out of the way.

As soon as I'm up, I send one back at him. Aiden summons a sword and deflects the blast.

I summon my sword and charge towards him. Our swords collide, and we exchange strikes.

As we fight, we both start to collect injuries.

Aiden landed the first hit on me, but I got one on him shortly after.

A blast of magic towards me is enough to distract and give Aiden a chance to land another hit on me.

His sword slices at my shoulder and I'm to slow to put up a shield or deflect with my sword.

The hit hurts like crazy and I hiss in seveor pain.

With my shoulder now bleeding and being out of breath. I take a step back and excess the situation.

Zayne beat Morden and was now helping Noelani finish off the remaining guards.

Aiden smiles back at me, sweat dripping down his forehead mixing with blood from a few scratches on his face.

He lounges towards me but is stopped half way by Zayne.

"RUN XELQUA! NOW IS YOUR CHANCE TO GO!" Noelani shouts at me.

I run for the portal but I stop and turn back, just in time to see Aiden stab Zayne right through his chest.

Noelani screams, and raises her sword and charges Aiden.

He slices at her and she crumbles to the ground next to Zayne.

Aiden casts them both to the void and turns to me.

With all the color drained from my face and wounds across my body, I jump into the portal.

I hear Aiden scream something before the portal whisks me away to a random server.
