Jadesola
Jarred sounds of crashing plates reverberated as I washed up the dishes in the small sized kitchen. The continuous clashing of plates and spoons being kept into its original position and the low huuum emanating from the air conditioner compelled everything to appear intact and in place.
Well, everything looked in place except for a particular muscled excuse of a body man situated in the spare room of my apartment. After slamming the door with full force on his face, I had cladded myself in black boy shorts and plain tank top, heading to do the dishes.
Time had flown by without my notice as I was presently faced with a problem of deciding what to cook for dinner. I wasn't really hungry but I had to make something for, mr fine ass.
I'm not that nice, I just decided to pity him.
Williams temporary room door suddenly jerked opened and I straightened, my body rapt and tense as the hair on my back strained against my skin. It didn't take me much to realized he had breezed into the kitchen.
Tingling sensations dazzled through my body, emaciating shocking breathe-catching sparks to flow through and within my body, shocking me slightly with the power it carried.
I struggled to keep myself from staggering back as I felt him behind me, breathing down on my neck as his breath fanned me, flabbergasting me the more as the hairs on my neck rose higher, standing and stretching above my skin.
Unwanted tingles rushed achingly slow down my spine and my pulse rose a bit higher, my heart pumped deep in my chest almost convincing me for a moment he could hear the gbim gbim as it drummed hastily in me.
"Hello Jay," his voice was low behind me, and I swiftly eradicated myself from him and my previous position, wiping my hands on the light blue cotton napkin placed on the holder directly fixed to the wall, above the location of the sink.
"What's popping?" I questioned, walking out of the kitchen and away from him, immediately regretting my decision as I felt his eyes follow my ass up as I rounded the small kitchen island and walked into the living room.
"A small ass you gatt there," Williams chuckled and I took a deep breathe, resisting the urge to turn to him and give into the rambled thought I had, had earlier of throwing him out of my apartment.
Why does it always have to be about this butt?
"Thank you for the unwanted compliment." I finally turned to him, raising an eyebrow at him in mock challenge and he just had on a lazy smile.
"We both know that wasn't a compliment but anyhow, I heard there's a suya spot here? Let's go get one please." He made himself completely at home, placing his feet on the glass center table bringing more life into the cozy living room.
The living room, painted in white had specks of black paint sprinkled about on the rough walls, producing a beautiful contrast. White three seater couch with throw pillow scattered around it, sat gigantic in the middle of the room as it blended and mingled attractively with the sky blue fluffy rug rolled in the center, covering half of the black tiles.
The chandelier dangled, it's decorative light varying in several primary colors hanging from the ceiling and connecting to the glass branches arranged complicatedly to hold in place where the lights and bulbs or even candles should be topped and it shone it's beauty, directly striking on Williams forehead, making a clear reflection of the wall connected HD flat screen television.
"After throwing shade at my butt, you expect me to still treat you like you are human abi?" I also took a seat far away from him for obvious reasons.
You mean, like jumping him and grabbing him by his collar and tearing his clothes and feasting on him like a predating animal.
Ode!
"And we also both know it's not a shade if it's the honest statement." His voice tongue rolled out, curling a little when he pronounced the know and his expression remained unfazed, conforming that he was actually serious.
"Well, honesty is now going to accompany you to get your Suya." I spluttered, suddenly irritated by him.
"Let's get going and stop being difficult. Meet me outside after you are done changing out of that thing." He said and walked back into his room, his hands buried in the deep holes of his khaki pockets.

The Suya spot appeared less crowded than it always appeared confirming that all students like Joseph, were yet to resume. It was a popular locally known place among the students of Afe Babalola. They always paid a visit the man at least thrice a week and I wasn't excluded.
Smoke transpired out, polluting the air and also rapting it with the sweet savoring scent of beef being roasted by coal made fire. The Suya man stood at the center, spotting Kampala, a old raffia palm stripped and sewn into fabric, resulting to a beautiful piece of fabric after being dried from dye. Only the man's own couldn't be qualified as beautiful.
"Adamu, good evening." I greeted as i stopped in front of him, totally ignoring the existence of the curious looking man standing tall next to me.
"Jade, Jade, you don come." He turned the presently roasting beef to the other uncooked side and quickly rubbed his oily palm on the almost fading Kampala trouser cladded on his body.
"Yeah, I'm back. You can finally go back to taking all my money." I said as we both laughed, and he muttered a yowa to himself.
"Can we get the beef already?" William overtook me, leading me to move backward as his bulked broad shoulders obstructed my view of the man. I left him to handle his order.
Soon enough, we were back on the road, our feet's slapping on the tarred bottom surface ground. We had decided not to go by car since the journey took only few minutes away from home. But as I walked next to William, my thoughts all jumbled and messed up, I could take a horse ride back home.
At least, that would serve as a faster means of transportation home. The earlier we got home, the faster I got away from him.
I stole a glance at him from the corner of my eyes, ensuring it was subtle as I admired him. I couldn't stop my eyes from wandering over his carved muscles, bulging as he moved step by step. My gaze raked all over his face and for the first time in a long time, I let myself admire him. Really admire him.
He was a proud dark skinned man, with ripped muscles like the that of movie stunt men but at the same time, he was also far from perfect. The slight scar across his eyebrows coupled with tiny wrinkles, just assembled him to be perfectly imperfect.
"You know, I can feel your stare on me." His voice was cool as usual, nonchalant even as his long legs scraped over the other, causing him to take a stylish leap.
Everything about him is too arrogant!
"That's cause I was staring," I rolled my eyes at him, only to get interrupted as he halted, almost resulting me bump into him.
"Why do you..." my words caught on my tongue as soon as my gaze landed on the hooded man in front of us.
He was in a tight black jeans, black pullovers and black palms. I stood still, stunned as I stared straight on ahead and the only thing I could perpetrate was open my mouth wide. It wasn't even because of the beauty of the man standing in front of me, it also wasn't because of the sharp gaze he had on not only me but Williams as well. It was because of the gun pointed right at us.
A black submachine pivot gun was pointed directly at us and my mouth remained wide opened like that of a fish.
"Please close your mouth," the imposters gruff voice snapped me out and as if on reflex, my hands went above my head as I mentally searched for any mode of escape, if I could escape, mildly forgetting William who was stood calm next to me, his hands also above his head.
"Young man, calm down th....." Williams got interrupted as impostor cocked his gun, ordering us to kneel down.
"Your hands above your heads as you kneel." He balanced himself on one leg, as he moved the gun(which still had my attention) up and about like he was playing with us.
"Now, you are the male here right?" He questioned as he gestured at Williams who has suddenly gotten humble. If the situation wasn't so risky, I could have laughed at the slightly frightened look digested on his face as he traced his eyes on the gun wavering above him.
"It would seem so." He mumbled as the impostor cast a quick gaze at me.
"Since you are the guy, I want you to start squatting till I tell you to stop."
"I believe we could negotiate if you are after money because I really don't see the point of me squ.." again, the impostor interrupted William causing him to clench his teeth tightly simultaneously in frustration. He didn't like getting interrupted.
"I know you have the money but last time we checked, I am the one with the upper hand here so it'd do you good if you do as I say before you regret it." The imposter chuckled.
William got up, getting into position as he started the squat, counting as he had been instructed to. When he got to the tenth count, the imposter suddenly turned to me and smiled, and then it turned to a full blown laughter. He held his hands between his stomach and laughed as Williams still remained in his punishment, grunting and puffing as he threw mean glares at him.
I was starting to think we had jabbed a crazy person until he suddenly declared, "Guys, you can bring the camera out now. We've got our shot. This is so funny mehn." He chuckled again as two other guys came out from the back of a car I hadn't noticed had been there. They were dressed casually in blue T shirt with a logo of Max Tv imprinted in the middle of the shirt and jeans. They rounded up into the car, bringing it up front, one dark, the other fair. It finally dawned on me. We had just gotten pranked and would probably end up on TV.
I let out a sigh of relief only to choke on air as Williams deep groan reverberated through the empty road like street as he charged for the imposter. Fortunately for the man and his friends, the imposter waxed into the car and they zoomed past us, still laughing their asses off.
It shouldn't have been funny but I couldn't help the loud rumble that shook within me as I also affixed in the laughter as Williams ran after the moving car, pursuing them like he could run faster than a car.
"You better come back here o," still laughing, I walked up to meet him.
"A whole man like you, you dey squat just because of gun." I laughed the more as he shot his head back my way, dispatching a sharp glare at me.
"By the time i get to you, you wound explain why the fuck you are laughing." With that, he charged full on force for me, advancing and chasing me as I also ran like my life depended on it, laughter still rumbling in me.
I was already in front of the apartment breathing hard as my heart pumped fast against my chest, ready to insert the keys into the door knob when I was suddenly grabbed by Williams. He used his other hand to unlock and push open the door while his right hand remained on my waist, caged me within his muscled body.
The door slammed shot as we waddled in, and he immediately impelled me against the back of the door, both his hands by the side of my arms, caging me.
"Would you care to explain?" He leaned in close to me, "why you were laughing?" He questioned again and my chest continued to raise up and down, crashing slightly against with his hard one.
This time, the cause of my fast heartbeat wasn't because of the race. The closeness of our body as it created a bearable heat between the both of us made me aware of my not so slightly attraction to him. I looked up at him, clashing my gaze with Grey eyes which seemed to have darkened a little bit.
I stared on as he took a quick glance at my lips like he couldn't help it and raked his gaze back to my face only to have them fall back to my lips. It seemed like he couldn't decided where to rest his stare as they kept moving, interchanging from my lips to my face.
He pushed me harder into the wall, not hard enough for it to hurt, but had enough for the hardwood of the door to dig into my body. His fingers came up to grab my jaw, tracing it to my lips as he dragged it down, only to make the plump lip move back up with a slight pop.
With a growl, he released me and muttered a low good night leaving me hot and confused, still leaning against the door.
