Chapter 15: Snatched
I could only look at the man, trying to figure out how he knew my name, his eyes looking at me, ready to see if I was going to do anything. I moved my eyes over to meet Noah's, who was begging to me with his eyes, his body shaking like an earthquake, wincing when the man pressed the gun heard into my brother's head. I looked over at the man who was to my left, his eyes locked on me, his eyes cold and mysterious, his body language telling me he was ready to attack me if I tried anything. I looked back at the man, trying to figure out who he was.
"Who are you?" I asked, my voice low as I watched my brother close his eyes, his right hand holding the left hand that had blood coming out of it.
"That doesn't concern you." He growled, his hand moving to tighten onto my brother's elbow, the gun being pressed to his neck.
I didn't know what to do, if I made one stupid move, Noah would be bacon and I couldn't let the happen, looking at the three men who blocked me in, I looked back towards the man, slowly lifting my hands up, his eyes following them, his hand going a little bit looser with the gun itself. Noah looked at the broken back door, like he was hoping someone would come save us.
"The phone." The man demanded, nodding his head at my hand as I saw the man on my left slowly stepped forward, taking the phone slowly from my hand, seeing it was on, his face stirring up, before he placed it to his ear, speaking.
"Hello?" He said looking around, his eyes moving over to the man as he pulled it away from his ear, hitting the end call, my heart taking a stop.
"No one." He said, placing the phone into his pocket, seeing I was looking at him, my eyes following his hand as my phone disappeared into this pocket. He chuckled, making my skin crawl.
I then looked at the man just to see him nod his head and before I could figure out why he nodded, a set of hands grabbed my wrists, making me try to twist to see who it was but whoever it was, didn't allow me and I looked at Noah to see his eyes go wide, his mouth soon opening.
"Someone! Someone please help-" His cry for help was cut off when the back of the gun was smacked against his head, making him let out a cry, his eyes closing as it looked like his knees were about to give in on him. I started to struggle against the hands, hearing the man grunt as he put a strong grip onto them, keeping me from breaking free.
"Calum, take the boy from me, get his arms and ankles zip tied." He ordered and I watched a man walked by, catching Noah as the man let go of him, lowering his gun, his eyes on me.
"I was just going to leave him here, tied in a closet, but after that outburst, he's coming with us." he ordered as I felt plastic being locked around my wrists, pinching my skin.
"No! Leave him al-une!" My last word was messed up as a cloth was pushed between my teeth, keeping me from talking. I struggled against the grip as they got me over to one of the dinner table chairs, hands locking onto my shoulder's and keeping me seated as my ankles met the same fate as my wrists did, my protest coming out messed up. I looked over to see that a man had a hand full of Noah's hair as he kept it still, letting the man who had tied my ankles try to get a cloth into his mouth.
"No, please, I won't tell a soul. Please just me g-u!" Noah was cut off with a black cloth being shoved into his mouth, being pulled tight before being tied into a good knot making Noah let the tears fall.
"Coin, watch them, make sure they don't try anything. Jariah, get the duffle bag and grab a few of their clothes." The man ordered and I watched as they all rushed by us, besides the man who I think was Coin who just looked at both of us, I then remembered he had my phone. I could only watch as he reached in and pulled out my phone, smiling.
"Bet you want this." He said as he slowly placed it on the floor and I know what was coming next and I started to struggle for all I was worth. He just laughed, seeing me pathetic struggle as he slowly stood back up start, looking down at the phone.
Looking at me one last time, he lifted up his foot and brought it down on my phone. I could only watch as my phone broke into a thousand pieces, going everywhere. Noah and I both just looked as he pulled his shoe away, showing my crushed phone, my heart feeling like someone had just ripped it into two, there just went our only hope. Before I could do anything, both Noah and I jumped a little when a loud sneeze came from the living room, someone cursing.
"She has the bloody cat!?" A voice yelled before they sneezed hard and I saw Tuna come running from the living room, quickly heading downstairs.
I looked at the man who had the gun came out of the living room before he stopped, bracing himself against the wall and letting out yet another powerful sneeze, he must of been allergic because he sneezed three times in a row, before he stopped. "I'm so going to kill that cat if it's the last thing I do." He hissed as he leaned against the wall to regain himself.
After taking a few breaths, the man stood up and made his way back towards us, one of his hands, staying on the wall as he stopped, the man who I guessed was Jariah walking past him with a duffle bag. "Calum, knock them out." He ordered, rubbing his temple and I looked as the man pulled out a syringe, taping it before he looked at me, meeting my fear filled eyes. He smiled a little.
"Don't worry, luv, this will just make you a little sleepy and easier for us to handle, you'll be okay." He said softly and I let out a whimper as I felt the needle go into my skin, the liquid being put into my bloodstream. He pulled it out and looked at me before going over to Noah, who just shook his head, letting out muffled protests.
"Jariah, hold his head still, softly." He said and I watched with blurred eyes as Jariah grabbed my brother's head, keeping it still as my brother let out a muffled sob as the syringe was pressed into his neck, the same liquid being put into his bloodstream.
I started to feel light headed and my head soon fell forward, all the feeling in my arms and legs gone. Someone talked, but I couldn't figure out who it was, only that I was having a hard time staying awake, and moving for a matter of fact. Something or someone lifted me from the chair and took me out the back broken door, cracking of glass, my head going against what felt like leather, the leather moving in word and outward. My brain was slowly shutting down, everything going into a fog as my body let the liquid take over, darkness enveloping me real quick.
Chip's POV
Chip struggled against the leather straps that held him to the chair, keeping him from running. His father had left him in some type of nice room, leaving only a fireplace to keep the room light up and Chip just kept on struggling, wishing that he could get the cloth out of his mouth. He gave one last good tug on the straps around his wrist before he let the other straps around his body pull his body back into the painful sitting position. He looked towards the window that had a black curtain covering it, only letting him see if it was light out or not, he couldn't tell if it was sun rise or sun set. His attention was then quickly turned towards the door when he saw it open, his dad walking in with what looked like a tray, setting it down on the table next to him, making him growl, his father laughing a little.
"Now, Ayden, where is the thank you for wasting my time to bring you food." He said as he reached over and removed Chip's gag, pulling his hand away before Chip could do anything. Chip just licked his lips, glaring at his father.
"What thank you? Didn't you want me dead before!?" Chip yelled when he got his voice, watching as his father pulled a chair up.
"Yes, but I changed my mind, you were better alive than dead." He said laughing lightly before taking a spoon full of food, looking at Ayden.
"I hate-" Chip didn't get a chance to finish what he was going to say before his father forced the large spoonful into his mouth, making him choke, trying to cough up the food that went down the wrong pipe.
His father tsked. "Ayden, Ayden. Why do your words keep getting you into trouble? It's like you think someone won't give you a black eye for calling them something." Mr. Hill said as he got another spoonful ready, moving it towards Chip before Chip turned his head away.
"Ayden, you have to eat sooner or later." Mr. Hill said waiting for Chip to move his head back, but he didn't.
Chip moved his eyes to see his father set the spoon down, before he leaned back into the chair, meeting eye contact with Chip.
"You love that slave girl, don't you." He said and that made Chip snap his attention more towards his father. His father raising an eyebrow.
"I'm right, aren't I?" He said sitting forward.
Chip just shook his head. "I have no idea what you are talking about." He spat, his father looking at the ground.
"Oh, don't lie to me Ayden. I saw how you looked at her the first day you meet her, it was like someone had just opened a door for you, filled with the thing that you love most." He said, reaching forward and before Chip could say one thing, he took his chance and made Chip choke on the food again, some of it falling from his mouth onto his lap.
After Chip had pulled his self together, his father luck he was tied to a chair, he looked away, keeping his mouth shut.
"You wish it was like that." He growled, before his father grabbed his chin and made Chip look at him.
"I don't wish, I know. You fell in love with a slave, just like your own father." He said and Chip tried to pull his chin away but his father's grip was too strong.
"Just like your mother, so strong heart, thinking that she was strong, but really, she was weak, like an ant begging for mercy before being stepped on by a boot, you have her sweet eyes-" Chip cut him off by yelling.
"Don't you dare speak of her, you made the women's life a nightmare!" He yelled, trying to pull away from his father when he saw him reach for the bowl of what looked like soup.
Chip's mouth was then full with tomato soup, as his father kept on pouring more, making Chip cough and gag, the soup blocking his air away and going down the wrong pip, and it soon started to cover his face, some of it running down his neck and onto his clothes. His father was just about to pour more when a ringing took place, making him stop and pull out his phone, looking down at it before he took the bowl of soup away, Chip quickly hunching over and coughing hard, tomato stanning his face as some of it had gone up his nose.
"I'm busy." His father said when he answered the phone, before he stopped.
"You got two of them?" He looked at his watch. "Nice work, yes, bring them in in two days and I'll have your pay." He said, looking over to see Chip covered in tomato soup.
He then hung up and walked over, using his index finger to lift Chip's head up so he could look at him. "Looks like your little angel face might be joining us in two days." He said and Chip's face went pale, his weak eyes looking at his monster of a father who looked at him up and down before he turned around and left. Waiting to make sure he left, Chip let the tears fall, looking down at his lap.
He had failed.
