Hello little gay people on my phone,

After literal years of working on this story, Hidden Secrets has finally come to an end. I honestly can't believe it because it's been such a long journey and now it feels so weird to finally finish a book (although it's just a fanfiction).

Allow me to be cheesy for a second bc this was my first ever fanfiction on this site that I published back in 2015, started revising in 2016 but fell into the biggest slump for pretty much all of 2017 so I stopped, and finally in late 2018-early 2019, I fell back in love with this story and my babies, got motivation to get back into writing again, and was able to finally complete it, so here we are.

Now there's still further revamping to be done, of course. There are still chapters I have to go back and edit, as well as (minor) plot points to clear up earlier on but nothing you don't already know and have to go back to reread, no worries.

However,
this is not the end!

Yep, you heard it right: There will be a sequel—as if I haven't hinted at it a bunch of times already lol. Which only means that you aren't done with my cruelty just yet 😙

It will be called Rising from the ground!
The sequel will be kinda different from this book, because since Polly will be in Azkaban, I have to let you guys know what is happening meanwhile at Hogwarts with Sibi, Mike and the rest. Also, it will include multiple POVs, not only Polly's, and you will be introduced to a bunch of new characters that will get their own POV sections that I'm beyond excited to write about.

It will have some slightly darker themes but nothing so far off that would be a drastic difference from this book.

I have so many plans for the sequel, so I really really hope you guys will continue to be with me and follow Polly's journey. I will publish it when I'm done writing the first part, which may take a couple of weeks but I don't want to publish it one chapter at a time bc I want to keep track of all the plot points and different character's storylines in an organized manner.

Before we jump to that one though, I would like to address some frequently asked questions.

Q: Will Polly ever get to meet any original characters?

A: Not to spoil anything major, but yes. More original characters will appear in the sequel.

Q: Why was Breeze the only one who got in trouble with the Ministry for the magazine? Wouldn't Headmaster Dashawn get in trouble as well?

A: They took care of Breeze first because she was the one responsible for the publication of the magazine, since she had connections outside Hogwarts that helped her with the process. Also it was she who basically instructed Polly in every step of the way. But Headmaster Dashawn isn't let loose either. They'll have beef with him on the sequel, haha—the Ministry's issues with him go way back.

Q: Will we ever find out how or why Sibi became a werewolf?

A: Yep!

Q: Who is Beetroot?

A: Lol you know what I'll say, sequel.

Q: Is being a Dolphinus a genetic thing only?

A: Nope. It happens as inexplicably as being a muggleborn wizard or witch, but if a Dolphinus has children, then it's pretty much guaranteed they're gonna inherit it, which is why the Ministry executes them as soon as they reach legal age to prevent them having offsprings.

Okay that's all for now. I promise all these unanswered questions are key points I'll address on the second book, and not just plot holes I had no clue how to tie up for this book. I have the whole story planned out.
