Karan: "vaise ladoo...princess ghar aagayi hogi na?"

Tejasswi paused for a moment, her fingers hovering over her keyboard. She looked at Karan, a slight frown on her face, and then sighed.

Tejasswi: "Haan, usse adat hai ghar pe akele rehne ki."

now, there was silence all over .

Karan stared at the desk in front of him, lost in thought. 

The realization hit him hard that they had unintentionally placed a burden on Kavya that no child should have to bear. 

She is used to now to be alone at home after school , to feeding for herself, while they dealt with their own busy lives and the complexities of their hidden relationship.

Teju saw karan who was in thoughts. She knew he is thinking the same as her.

Karan: "Humari wajah se... Kavya ko itni choti umar mein yeh sab sehna pad raha hai."

Tejasswi nodded, her eyes filled with regret.

Tejasswi: "Haan, Karan. Woh bachpan ke woh din kho rahi hai  jaha usse bina koi tension ke enjoy karna chahiye."

They both sat there, the silence in the room now heavy with guilt

Tejasswi: " princess hai hamari beti..lekin warrior princess...."

Karan: " aab  rodies X khatrokekhiladi  ka outcome yahi niklega na"

Both laughed and left for home

As Karan and Tejasswi drove home from the office.

Tejasswi glanced at Karan, her fingers nervously fidgeting  She hesitated for a moment, then finally decided to break the silence.

Tejasswi: "sunny ... tumhari family kaisi hai? I mean, it's been a while since we talked about them."

Karan's grip on the steering wheel tightened slightly. His face, which had been relaxed just moments ago, grew a little numb, the warmth in his eyes dimming. He kept his gaze on the road ahead, his jaw clenching briefly.

Karan: "Mummy aur Papa theek hain. They're... busy with their usual routine..... U know na...papa mummy ko irritate karte rehete hai...he loves it that way and mummy hamesha papa ke peeche padi reheti hai...

Both chuckled

Karan:  Mayank jiju aur Mahinder jiju bhi apne kaam mein busy rehte hain. Harsh aur Preet... they're growing up fast, you know. Kitni baate bhi karte hai...princess ki tarah"

Tejasswi: " aw...so sweet"

Karan: " vaise toh sab thik hai vaha"

Tejasswi: "Aur... Shilpa aur Reva? Tumne unka naam nahi liya."

Karan's response was silence. His lips pressed into a thin line, and his eyes remained focused on the road ahead Tejasswi knew she had touched a sensitive nerve.

Karan finally turned to look at her, his expression softening as he saw the concern in her eyes. He let out a quiet sigh, his hand still holding hers.

Tejasswi: " 6 saal hogaye hai uss baat ko Sunny...aab toh maaf kardo na unhe"

Karan: " nhi ladoo...unke wajah se maine aur tune kitna kuch saha hai......and most importantly hamari princess ne kitna kuch saha hai....mai unhe maaf nhi kar sakta.....aur vaise bhi  maaf unhe kiya jaata hai jinhe galti ka ehesas ho....aur vo dono ko abhi tak unki galti ka ehesas nhi hai toh mai maaf kya hi karu??  

Tejasswi: " unhe toh kavu ke baare mai pata bhi nhi hai sunny...toh kaise...

karan: " mere pyaar ke baare mai toh pata tha na unhe ladoo........and pls ladoo...ye baat nhi karte hai "

Tejasswi: "acha okay okay...chill...nhi karte hai iss baare mai baat...

Karan smiled faintly, his hand squeezing hers just a bit tighter.

After some time

As soon as they stepped out of the car and approached the door, the sound of tiny, excited footsteps could be heard from inside. Before they could even open the door fully, it swung open, and Kavya came dashing out, her face lighting up with pure joy.

Kavya: "Papa!"
