Patterns.
Green instantly noticed a pattern. As Red caught back up, Blue went down the route he had taken. The poor girl almost missed meeting them for lunch twice, going to the wrong place the first time and nearly sleeping in the second time. Then she went unresponsive for a day before Red helped her home at the end of the week. Green frowned at that. What was going on?
~
Red paused as he noticed Green's grogginess the following morning. He was still up at a reasonable hour, but he looked tired.
"Are you ok?" Green nodded as he laid his head down.
"Fell asleep late." Red frowned. Green never messed up his sleep schedule. Not only that, but that was a weak response. He didn't really know why he was so tired. But Red didn't push for more.
~
The pattern continued. Green looked like he was getting worse until Blue helped him home at the end of the week. Red joined them, worried he would be next. Surprisingly, nothing attacked them as they got Green home half an hour before he usually fell asleep. They weren't sure if he got to his bed before he collapsed, but neither of them wanted to break into his house to find out. Blue sighed as they went to Red's place.
"What is going on... first you, then me, now Green?" Red hummed.
"I have no idea. I thought I would be next, but..." He looked around. "Nothing." Blue hummed.
"I haven't seen Yellow in a few weeks. I might go check in on her tomorrow." Red hummed at that.
