*3 days later*

Lloyd's POV

I've sat here for four days doing nothing. Harumi has came in and tried to convince me that her side is best. However, I'll never side with her. She wants to bring back a monster.

She hasn't fed me anything or given me any water. I've just been stuck here getting weaker. I'd do nearly anything to get some food. However, the one thing I need to get it I refuse to do.

"Oh Lloyd," Harumi walks in, her hair tied into a high ponytail. "How is my fiancé doing?"

"Terrible," I spit at her. She laughs, walking up and pressing a kiss to my cheek.

"You look terrible. You need some food, but I can't give it to you until you agree to stand by my side," she tells me, her face dangerously close to mine.

"Never," I grit. She sighs and stands up straight. "Don't you think your people find it a but suspicious that your future husband hasn't been seen by anyone at all?"

"Nope. I said that you're adjusting, and that you'll make your first public appearance tonight," Harumi informs me. I snicker in response.

"You're insane if you think for a second I'll go anywhere with a total psychopath," I inform her. She smirks at me.

"I know you think that, so I brought help," she gestures to the doorway. Two guards come in with a sad looking Neuro in between them.

"I weakened him like you said," Harumi informs Neuro. He nods.

"And if I do this for you, you'll let me free and leave my family and the other elemental masters out of this?" he asks. Harumi nods. "I'm so sorry Lloyd." I try to squirm away, but I'm still locked down. "What do you want me to do?"

"I need you to convince him that he loves me. I'm the love of his life, and he's head over heels for me. He'll do whatever I ask because he loves me so much. He'll only use his elemental powers if I ask him to. He hates other elemental masters because they won't see that this is the life he wants," Harumi plays with my hair while saying this. I sit here in fear.

"You can't do that. Can you?" I ask Neuro. He has a look of sadness on his face.

"I'm so sorry Lloyd. It's to protect my family and your friends," he informs me. He takes a step forward and puts his hands on both sides of my head.

"Please no," I beg. He tunes me out, furrowing his brow. A sharp pain floods through my head, the worst headache I have ever experienced overtaking me. I let out a loud scream. My vision starts to get dotted, and as the pain increases, I pass out.

Jay's POV

"This has to work," I murmur to myself. Over the past several days, I've collected supplies and built a little makeshift boat. It's not my prettiest invention, but it's going to work.

I walk it down to the edge of the rocks, setting it down. I hop inside, grabbing my food and supplies with me. I push off the edge, but after five feet, the boat capsizes. My heart sinks with the boat. I grab my supplies, including the broken boat, and drag everything back to the shore. As soon as I'm on land, I curl up in a ball and start sobbing.

When I first got here, it didn't occur to me that I could be stuck here the rest of my life. I could run out of food and starve, never seeing my parents, my girlfriend, or my friends ever again.

So I sit here and cry, cry and hope for someone to come save me.

Kai's POV

"So then instead of using the hallways and risking getting caught, I used the balconies," I explain. Chen laughs, taking a large bite of noddles. For a guy who likes extravagances, his dining room is fairly simple. There is a small table with a purple tablecloth on it, four chairs surrounding it, one just pulled up for me. The chair that Chen is sitting in is like a throne. There's a slightly smaller version of that to his left. To his right, there is an even smaller version of it.

"You are a clever one," he tells me, eating even more noodles. "Now, you said you know where Skylor is?"

"I don't know where she is now, but I know where she'll be," I inform him. He gestures for me to keep talking. "Knowing Skylor, she isn't going to let Lloyd marry Harumi without putting a fight up. She hates Harumi with every bone in her body. She'll be at the royal palace on the day of the wedding with all the elemental masters she can find."

"What am I supposed to do about that?" Chen asks.

"Well, if you could spare any of your workers, it would help just in case a fight breaks out."

"That...could be arranged."

"Thank you Chen," I tell him. He gives me a nod and stands up, leaving the table and letting me sit alone.

Nya's POV

All of the elemental masters sit in the cave. Some of us are training to try to master and strengthen our powers, while others are sitting, waiting for Lloyd's official appearance to the public that's going to air on tv.

Cole and I are relaxing as much as we can while Skylor is intensely training to get a strong hold on her powers. Cole had his powers for 15 years, so he just fell back into using them easily.

Skylor, on the other hand, had never used her powers before. She was 4, and she hadn't came in contact with other elemental masters, so there were no powers to mimic. Now, she's training intensely and has mastered bouncing between elements. She's been able to use my element, so I know it's in there, but I haven't been able to use it. I've been trying the past couple days, but nothing has worked.

"You're going to get it," Cole tells me. I sigh.

"Easy for you to say. I don't know why I thought it would be so easy. I didn't have it before anyways," I sigh. Our alarm for Lloyd's appearance goes off, so everyone sits down and waits. After one minute, the camera shows Lloyd and Harumi. She's wearing an extravagant green gown, gold accents on her chest and torso. Her arm is looped with Lloyd's. Lloyd is walking with her in a green suit with a gold tie and gold buttons. He looks a bit unhealthy, but other than that, he looks beyond happy. The two of them finish their walk and arrive at a pedestal.

"Hello citizens of Ninjago," Harumi greets, intertwining her hand with Lloyd's. He looks at her and smiles. It's not one of his fake smiles I saw him give, but a genuine one. "Sometimes, love comes to you at unexpected times. I was doing a routine check up at the elemental masters facility, and I met Lloyd. I talked to him, and from that day on, I knew I could never love anyone else. I tried to find a husband, but every night I would fall asleep dreaming I could be with him. After talking with the high council, it was determined that I could marry him. I hope you guys can look past this curse that was put upon him like I can, because underneath, there is a wonderful leader and person," she stands on her tip toes to give him a kiss on the cheek. "And now he would like to say some words." No one here says anything. All of us are mesmerized.

"Hi everyone," he says semi awkwardly, a bit out of his element. I notice his cuff was taken off, and my eyes widen. "I apologize for not coming out later. It's been a lot to adapt to, but it's been worth it. I will only use my powers to help protect us. I mean no harm. Harumi has helped teach me that I can be normal. I don't need to be monsters like the rest of the elemental masters," once he says that, everyone here gasps. I look over, and Juliet has her fists balled up and her jaw clenched. "They're all on the loose, but Harumi and I will help find them. We'll round them up one by one to protect you guys.

They don't support Harumi and I. They see her as inferior because she isn't 'gifted' like them. They want to keep us apart, and they want revenge for me going against them. They don't only want to kill her," he looks Harumi with sad eyes, but she nods for him to keep going,"but they want to turn Ninjago into a land where they can dictate and rule over. I won't let that happen. We saw that locking them up wasn't enough, because they escaped and are now planning an attack. We need to..." he drifts off, looking emotional.

"What the hell is this shit!" Skylor lashes out.

"Has be gone insane?" Griffin asks.

"Mind control, it's mind control," Juliet says sadly, her head in her hands.

"We need to kill all elemental masters. If anyone sees an elemental master, please report them to the police. I can deal with them after that. After our wedding in three days, Harumi and I will focus on getting rid of them and protecting you guys. Thank you everyone," he steps away, and Harumi steps forward again. All of us are numb with shock.

"After Lloyd and I are done, images of all of the known elemental masters will be flashed across your screens so you guys will now what they look like to report. We already have the master of mind in custody. Our wedding will still be on, but we will have advanced security to prevent a breach. These individuals are highly dangerous, so don't try to attack them," Harumi debriefs.

"If you guys are open to us," Lloyd wraps an arm around Harumi,"we can help restore Ninjago to its former beauty." The crowd starts roaring with cheers, and both of them get huge smiles. The screen then cuts to pictures of all of us. To us, these pictures are obviously of innocent people who were imprisoned, but to the people of Ninjago, they look like pictures of monsters. When the pictures of Kai and Jay flash across the screen, my heart aches.

"Cole, they're out there! They could be getting hunted right now," I realize, and fear floods through my body. Cole gives me a hug.

"They'll be safe Nya. They're strong," he reassures me. I let out a large sigh.

"I'm going to find Kai," Skylor announces, grabbing her bag.

"Skylor, don't," Cole tells her. She glares at him.

"He's out there somewhere! If anyone can get him out of there safe, it's me," she spits.

"It's reckless to go out right now. We need a plan. Kai could be in safety right now. We need to stay safe here and fix Lloyd. It's obvious she had Neuro do something to him," Cole warns her. She bunches her fists, but sits down.

"If anything bad happens to him because I wasn't looking for him, it's going to be a bad day," she informs him, lying down. For the rest of the night, the rest of us sit in silence. The mountain we were trying to climb just doubled in height.
