Meeting Tratie

This is just a little short thing before I do another special so I don't overload you guys with specials! Enjoy!

...

I was walking through the beautiful strawberry fields of Camp Half Blood when I heard two voices shouting as loud as possible. Curiously, I snuck closer to see a black haired, brown eyed girl covered in water yelling at a boy who I recognized as the oldest Stoll brother, Travis, who was frantically trying to appologize. I smiled slightly as I listened to them.

"It wasn't a prank! I'm s-" I attempted but was cut off.

"Don't you lie to me! Of course it was a prank! Just- stop," she sighed and ran the other direction. Travis sighed and sat down hard on the ground. I approached him quietly.

"You okay...?"

"Yes! Of course I am... Okay maybe I'm not," he stuttered.

"So, what happened to her that she blamed you for?" I asked.

"You were listening?" He asked with a start. I flushed.

"No- well only for the last part."

"Okay... Well anyway. I had this prank set up for one of the Apollo campers that was supposed to dump water on them but Katie walked straight into it before I could stop her and... That happened, I was actually gonna... Umm ask her out today too," he elaborated, then put his head in his hands. I nodded understandingly.

"That happened to me and Leo once... Hey, I could talk to her," I said. He looked up at me in surprise.

"You'd do that?" He asked in awe. I nodded again.

"Yep!" I said smiling. He grinned sheepishly.

"Thanks- Calypso was it?"

"That's me," I replied.

"Right, well thanks again!" He said.

"It's nothing," I said and walked off before he could protest.

...

When I finally found her she was slumped against a pine tree behind her cabin looking frustrated and dejected. I walked closer and sat down beside her. Katie looked up.

"Who are you?" She asked.

"Calypso. You're Katie Gardner right?" I replied. She nodded slowly.

"Yeah, why are you here? I kind of want to be alone right now," she said. My mind throbbed with sympathy.

"I'm here about Travis- and before you inturrupt me I want you to know that I could tell his words were genuine. He wasn't lying Katie, when he told you it wasn't a prank on you," I began. She looked like she wanted to protest but listened anyway as I explained my encounter with Travis and how miserable and sorry he had looked. As I talked Katie's expression began to soften until I finished and she buried her head in her hands.

"I'm such and idiot," she groaned, "I was too angry to pay attention to what he was saying..."

I reached over and patted her back,

"You're not an idiot, you were just angry, now, come, let's get you dressed for a date," I said and helped her up.

"A date?" Katie asked with a furrowed brow.

"Yep! I'll explain later, I planned a little more help than I let on to Travis!" I said cheerily and lead her to the Aphrodite cabin to see Piper and her siblings.

...

After the Aphrodite girls had worked their magic Katie looked stunning, not that she hadn't been before but a little makeup and some fancy clothes definitely added something. Katie twirled in her bright green dress and smiled gratefully. Along with that she wore a brown cardigan, brown leather boots and some assorted jewlery.

"I'm still really confused about this whole thing but wow... I look... Pretty awesome," she commented. The Aphrodite his just smiled like this happened a lot (Which it probably did because everyone seems to come to the Aphrodite cabin to get ready for dates) and ushered her out the door where a very confused Travis was standing in an expensive looking suit. He turned and gaped at Katie.

"Oh," was all he said, causing her to giggle.

"Shall we?" She asked, taking his arm. He seemed to come back to reality.

"We shall," he said and they went off to have their date. I feared it wouldn't go well but judging by the laughter I heard, it would be just fine.

...

Another AN: There it is! Yeah, it was a little cheesy and cliché but I'm tired and it's Christmas Eve so I need to get to bed.
