Anna's pov***

I winced, a dull pain spreading through my right shoulder. I rubbed my eyes in attempt to get my eyes used to the pitch black lighting in the cave.

Why does this shit always happen to me? I mean this is the second (third?) time I wake up in a strange place this has to stop!

I groaned, I'm all covered in mud too... This is disgusting...

An eerie and spine shivering presence entered my mind again. I felt the hairs of my skin rise as an odd hot and musty breeze blew from one of the paths. Me being the curious idiot, I decided to go in that direction. Not without of course, me being my clumsy self and tripped and rolled down a steep hill. I screamed as stones and mud hit me while I rolled down hill. A sharp hard rock stopped my fall as I hit it head on.

Another groan escaped my lips, my body ached and I reeked. I really hope impa has a bathtub in that tent of hers... I sat up (or attempted to) against the large Boulder that stopped my fall and examined myself. Nothing more than bruises, some very Nasty scrapes, and mud.

"This has got to be a joke.. And just how do tell, WILL I FUCKING GET OUT OF HERE!" Allowing my anger to run my actions right now I punched the stone in front of me.

And that only proved to be the worst thing I could have done..

A bright red glowing eye appeared and stared right at me.I screamed as loud as I could while crawling back and away from the creature as it growled and moved its head with its nostrils shooting smoke as it struggled to break free of whatever had it tied to the ground and it's large dagger like teeth bared at me. During the whole time it thrashed around in an attempt for freedom it did not take its eyes off of me. After a while it stopped, but continued to stare at me.

I gulped, my breathing fast and rigid almost gasping for air.

"Calm down child I will not harm you.."

I jumped on hearing it speak. It's voice was strong, a noticeable hint of superiority in it and male.

So it's a he?

"You reek child."

I nodded, too afraid to say anything in fear of being killed, but also in too much of an awe to speak. I finally took the time to look at the thing and noticed it was covered in bright glowing red scales, with golden tipped wings adorning its back. Spikes decorated its head and spine while very strong muscled legs were folded against its large body. There were chains wrapped around the creature, barely giving it any room to move or breathe. I looked at him in complete awe.

A dragon.

I inched closer to it and reached to touch it's nose, making it snort and growl at me. It stared at me as I caressed the thick horn that rested on its nose. I continued to let my hand wander towards the chain that rested just above its snout and grabbed it. I tugged on the chain but it wouldn't give. The dragon narrowed its eyes in amusement, just watching me the whole time. I huffed and walked around it until I saw a small lock that kept the chains together. With a stone that I found I hit the lock in attempt to break it but it only resulted in me getting aggravated and throwing the rock. The dragon chuckled, I sighed and continued to look for a way to get rid of the chains that kept him immobilized.

When I looked at him I noticed everything was just one large chain that connected to a large Boulder-

"Or you could use the key child." He spoke in an amused tone and I turned around and saw a small wooden chest. And Surely enough there was a key inside.

I frowned. I feel so damn stupid..

I placed the key in the lock but stopped before opening the lock. Am I really doing this? I mean there must be a reason this dragon is chained. Damn it's a fucking dragon for fucks sake what am I thinking?!

Despite my inner arguments though, I let some kind of instinct drive me and opened the lock. Releasing the massive monster. His wings open as soon as the lock hit the ground, hitting me in the process forcing me to land on flat on my butt scraping my hand in the process.

It shook, almost bringing the cave down on top of us. It's massive thick neck unfolded and glowed with a yellow and red hue. It released a loud and thunderous roar and finally calmed down.

I'm not going to lie, I felt like a flea compared to the massive dragon standing before me.

The dragon moved his head closer to me and eyed me. Then it snorted and backed it's head away. "You reek child." I huffed annoyed by his comment and crossed my arms, "your welcome! Who are you anyways mr dragon?"

Mr dragon? You have got to be joking Anna.

The dragon settled infront of me and looked at me. "I have a name child that no one but my mistress knows." I rolled my eyes at him," would you mind telling me?" It didn't respond but instead continued to stare at me with knowing eyes. "Would you then tell me why you're here?"

A soft rumbling sound emanated from his chest and he began to speak, "I came from another realm, looking for my mistress. Alas I could not find her so I waited here in a sleeping wake for centuries. Waiting for her return." I stood up and sat on a near by boulder, "who is she? She's probably dead if you have been here centuries. All your time wasted for nothing. Oh and by the way if you won't tell me your name I will name you!"

Anna chill he's a dragon not an abandoned puppy!

He eyed me and then grinned, "name me then child. If it's what you must do."  I poked my chin and though about a name suitable for a beast like him. I hummed while thinking when finally it clicked.

"Aaron?"

The dragon stared at me and then a triumph grin engraved itself on his face. I frowned," what's so funny?"  "I find it amusing how just a few minutes ago you were claiming to be dead."

Wat?

No seriously is he on drugs or something because I wasn't saying I was dead all I said was that his mistress-........ Wait a minute...

I stared at him dumbfounded as he continued to look at me amused, "only my mistress knows my name.. It's surprising you would choose to call me the same name she came up with."

"That or I'm just really good at guessing??"

He shook his head. "Ireh child. I know who you are. Your blood was what brought you towards me. What caused you to free me without feeling fear. Ireh child you are verona's heir. The birthmark you bare on your back is proof of it."

I'm a what now? Is this what dad meant about the whole my mother was from a different world shit?  Is this what that was? And who is this Verona chick??

"It's not that I don't believe you or anything, but I'm a bit worried on how we're going to get out of here."

Aaron smiled, more like grinned, at me. He then wrapped his tail around my legs and picked me up. I screamed and he let me fall on his back. "ARE YOU INSANE ARE YOU TRYING TO IMPALE ME WHAT THE FUCK?!"

"Hold on child."

I screamed as loud as my lungs could allow. Aaron roared and flew upwards. Smashing straight through the ceiling into the open sky. I held on to the nearest spike on his back and closed my eyes. Not daring to look at the growing height that separated me from the dear beautiful ground. I saw the soldiers down at the camp run around yelling and screaming things that I obviously couldn't hear because of the loud flaps of Aaron's wings.

I felt Aaron jerk, a loud and painful roar emanated from him, and I could see why. An arrow had penetrated the thin skin of his wing. They were shooting arrows at us. "Aaron what ever you do do not attack them!"

"It is they who are attacking us child!" He growled.

"Just try to avoid the arrows! Once you land I can talk to-" I screamed, another arrow had pierced his wing causing him to jerk and making me lose my balance. Falling off of him and straight towards the ground.

Sheik's pov****

"So what all happened during my absence? Did the two of you become friends again or is Anna still trying to get rid of you?" I chuckled. I half expected Anna to say one of her threatening spoiled remarks but nothing came from her. "She still try's to strangle me in my sleep. That or kill me with her snores." Impa laughed but I still heard no response from Anna. Impa led us inside her tent and spoke. "I assume she's trained?"

"She has. And she's getting better also."

I frowned why wasn't she responding? I turned around and saw that Anna was nowhere in sight. I groaned.

"This woman will be the death of me.."

Impa laughed turning around to face me. Her smile disappeared once she saw that the mentioned girl was nowhere in sight. "Where is she?" I frowned ignoring my sisters comment. I'm going to have to put a leash on that woman.. 

We started to hear a commotion outside. Men were yelling and running and I half prayed to din the cause wasn't Anna. "What is going on out there!" Impa stormed out of the tent with me following behind. "Dragon!" One soldier came running towards us panting, panick clear in his voice, "dragon general Impa! The evil King has sent a dragon to end us!"

She scowled, "then shoot it down and evacuate!"

A loud roar thundered through the air and then an ear piercing scream. I looked up and made out the figure of a small woman plummet down to the ground. I groaned inwardly once I realized who she was. "ANNA!" I ran under her and managed to catch her. I heard a loud pop and a gritting pain spread from my left shoulder.

"I'm going to be sick..." She moaned.

"Anna don't you dare."

She grabbed on to my shirt tightly and buried her face in my chest. "Stop spinning sheik I'm going to vomit.."

"Anna don't you fucking-," she coughed and released everything. Every..fucking..thing.. "dare..."

She groaned, "I am so sorry..."

"Liar."

She sounded weak, in pain, and exhausted, "don't let them kill him-" I frowned and sat her against one of the boulders laying next to the forest. "It's a dragon Anna how do you not want them to kil-"

"IF IT DIES I DIE WITH IT!"

Another loud roar thundered through the sky forcing me to make up my mind. I sighed. I don't seem to have any other choice. After taking off my soiled shirt (and my cowl with it) I picked up Anna and left to go find impa. She wasn't too far from us so finding her was simple. "Suspend the attack impa-"

"And let that thing run loose and terrorize-"

Anna gasped out the same time another roar was heard, "HE WONT DO SHIT NOW LET HIM LIVE!" I looked at impa and she nodded and spoke to the soldier next to her, "stop the attack." The soldier nodded and left. "Anna you stink." She grinned weakly at me, "we smell you idiot." Impa looked at me and rose her eyebrow at me, "where did your shirt-"

I sighed, "Anna decided her stomach needed cleaning.."

"You try falling off a dragon sheik..." She glared and then laid her head against my chest sighing deeply and mumbling something under her breath.

Anna's pov****

"It's safe now Aaron you can land now.." I don't know if I yelled it, mumbled it or even lipped the words. I don't know if he even heard me or not. All I know is that I felt immense pain spreading from my back along my birthmark. My nose was clogged with the bad stench of the mud I had fallen in earlier, my body burning with pain, and my stomach threatening to empty whatever else it had on sheik's bare torso. I heard Aaron land rather ungracefully, breaking a few tents and scaring off some soldiers.  He growled at them, I could feel anger and indignation radiating from the dragon. I pushed myself away from sheik despite his protests, and managed (with sheik's help) to get to Aaron. He growled and snapped at sheik  and then nuzzled me. "Behave, sheik won't hurt you."

"I do not worry about my safety child. It's them who should be worried." He growled and glared. I sighed.

"I want to sleep.."
