Sheik's pov****

I looked at Anna's sleeping form and sighed.

I could have prevented this, it's my fault she's in this state.

"Sheik I had told you to get some rest."

I ignored my sister and continued to watch Anna.

"I swear you're more stubborn than a mule sheik."

I chuckled, "how many times have I heard that before."

Impa laughed, "I guess I did say that a lot during your training."

I chuckled then winced at the pain it caused, "you said it all my life, not just training."

We stayed quiet for a while, saying nothing at all.

"You do know her then."

I sighed, apparently no matter how good I can get at lying I can never manage to fool impa.

"I do, we met two years ago."

Impa brought a chair and sat next to me. "Was that during your disappearance?"

I nodded, "yes, she was the one that offered us shelter when we didn't even know we're we were."

Impa turned to face Anna, "well then I suppose I owe her an apology and a thanks."

I turned to my sister, "apologize for what?"

She chuckled, "we sort of got off on the wrong start."

I smirked, "typical of you."

"You like her don't you?"

I looked at her, taken aback by the question, "what?"

She smirked, "I can tell, by the way you acted when she told the princess she was engaged to last night when she got stabbed. You love her."

I focused on the floor not wanting to actually confirm it.

"What did you do that made her hate you?"

I sighed, so she remembered...

"I thought I wouldn't ever see her again-"

She frowned, "you didn't."

"What?"

She hit me upside the head, "you left her with a child?!"

I choked on air, "wait what?!"

We're obviously not on the same page here.

"Sheik I thought I raised you better than that!"

Goddesses please help me...

"No! Impa listen! None of that happened!"

"Don't even try to cover it up!"

I groaned, "listen! Nothing! Happened!"

Impa calmed down and sat back down in her stool but still gave me the death glare.

I hadn't even realized she got up.

"Explain then before I hit you again."

I sighed, I guess this how impa shows love..

No wonder she never got married.

"Ok listen, none of that happened, I just took the easy way out.."

She narrowed her eyes, "and that was???"

"I thought the easiest way for her to forget about me was to make her hate me."

Impa groaned and covered her face with her hands, "oh sheik, I thought you were smarter than that! How old was she when this happened?"

"Twenty? Twenty one?"

Impa wacked Me upside the head, "idiot! You broke that poor girl's heart without reason!"

"I had a reason!"

She glared, "a really stupid, though sweet, reason! You obviously don't know anything about women!"

"That's because you women are so damned complicated!"

Impa stopped and glared at me.

It was at that moment I realized,

That I really fucked up.

"What was that word that came out of your mouth?"

I looked at her innocently, "I have no idea what you're talking about."

"I'm pretty sure you do little brother."

Shit...

She called me little brother...

She never calls me that.

"Nope, no- GAH!"

Impa hit me upside of the head and pulled my ear, "listen here young man that is not the language of a gentleman and I don't want to hear you say that again am I clear?!"

I hissed in pain, "impa I'm twenty five! I should be able to say what I want!"

She pulled my ear more, "I don't care if you're twenty one or five hundred years old I don't want to hear you say that!"

I winced, "ok! I'm sorry! I won't say it again!"

She let go and sat back down satisfied, "good, now go rest before I hit you again."

I sighed, I don't want to leave but I don't want to anger impa again either.

I sighed in defeat and left the room.

I hope Anna feels better.

Anna's pov*****

I yawned and opened my eyes.

Wait.....

Why am I not dead?

I sat up and surprisingly there was no pain.

That's odd....

I looked down at my gown and touched my abdomen.

No pain.

What the fuck?

I looked at my arm and surprisingly it was unscathed, as if nothing happened last night.

"What the fuck?"

"That's not acceptable language for a lady."

I yelped and turned around to see impa sitting beside my bed.

"Oh, um, sorry? What happened? Why am I not dead? Just, just, whaaaat??"

She laughed at my evident confusion.

And I was pretty confused let me tell you.

"After we stitched you up, courtesy of your sister Nikki-"

I stoped her, "hold on a sec. You let Nikki stitch me up??"

She smiled, "of course, she said she was in the medical practice and we allowed her to help."

I looked at her, "you people are the reason I have trust issues....."

She laughed, "well from what I saw she did a good job at it."

Bull shit.

Don't get me wrong, I loved Nikki. I just question how the hell she knew how to stitch a body if she never even took surgeon classes.

She's only studying to be a pediatrician, not a surgeon.

Hell she doesn't even know to stitch a teddy bear!

"I'm pretty scared, what all happened?"

She laughed, "after that link came in with a fairy in a bottle and we had her heal you all up in perfect condition."

I looked at her, "now I seriously have trust issues...."

Fairies exist??

"I believe I owe you an apology."

I looked at her terrified, "what else did you do while I was out?!?"

She laughed, "nothing, I meant I owe you an apology for when we met. I shouldn't have accused you of being a spy without any proof."

Oooooh that. I smiled, "nah don't worry about it. It's fine."

"I'd also like to thank you, I was told you sheltered my brother and the princess when they were in need."

Errh, the fact sheik is her brother irks me.

Great...

"Oh, that, it's no problem I mean, they had nowhere else to go and I had a pretty big house so. Why not?"

And zant was just to adorable to leave all alone and defenseless.

I though about last night and grimaced, "hey impa? Can I ask you a favor?"

"Hmm?"

I breathed, ok Anna, you're a big girl. You can do this. "Can you like, teach me how to use a weapon? Like defend my self?"

She smiled, "I would, but if I did I would have to train you the ways of my people. You'd become one of us."

Hmmmmm, so I have two options.

One, be a regular damsel in distress or two, be a badass ninja that can beat everyone's ass.

I take option two.

"Let's do it."

She laughed, "I don't normally let people learn our ways easily, but I think I'll let you do it."

I smirked. "Sweet!"

****later that day****

"Again Anna!"

I groaned. This is harder than I thought!

Impa came behind me and moved me in the position she instructed.

"Again, what exactly is this supposed to do?"

Impa placed the buckets on my hands and an apple on my head, "balance and strength. Now keep that posture for ten minutes."

I groaned, this is hell..

Oh, you want to know the posture right? Well she had me in a lounge position with both arms  in a 90 degree angle with palms faced upward supporting two buckets filled halfway with water and an apple of my head. Saying I needed to keep facing straight ahead.

Yeah. Hell.

"Anna your arm is not in position. Fix it."

Oh I'm going to be soooo sore after this

After ten loooong and painful minutes impa let me release the posture.

"Ok, I'm done. What else?"

Impa smirked, "run, if you let me catch you you have to redo the position ten more minutes."

WHAT?!

I looked at her, "you're having fun aren't you...."

She laughed, "right now? Yes, I quite am. I'll give you a one minute head start. Run and make sure I don't find you."

One minute? Hmm, seems fair.

"Again how-"

"We sheikah are notorious for our ability to disappear and our speed. Now go, clocks ticking."

I sighed and began to run into the forest.

So basically it's hide an seek, except you don't stay in the same place.

Yeah I can do that.

I think..

I ran until I found a large thick tree with branches thick enough to hold two or three people.

I smirked, "bingo."

I climbed the tree until I believed I was high enough I wouldn't be seen.

I saw impa running down below.

I giggled, "hehe I win."

"Don't let your guard down."

I screamed and slipped off the branch.

But a hand grabbed me steadying back on the branch.

I glared at sheik , "do not scare me like that AGAIN!"

He rose an eyebrow, "nice outfit."

I blushed then I glared." Thanks"

I had on a strapless blue crop top looking blouse with white bandage looking cloth wrapped around my chest under the shirt. I also had on a short miniskirt, similar to cheerleading skirts with different hues of blue and a white flap and My shoes were flat blue knee high boots. Impa had also insisted I wrapped the tips of my fingers and my wrist to my elbow with white bandages.

I won't criticize their style but whats up with the bandages? Well who cares, I think the outfit is cute and it lets me run and move easily.

So I won't complain.

"Looks like Anna has lost."

I sighed and looked up to see impa looking down at me from the branch above us.

I groaned and turned to sheik, "this is all your fault..."

Sheik chuckled and I, as best as I could without falling to my death, climbed down the tree.

Impa and sheik were already on the ground waiting for me.

How the hell do they do that?!

"I hate you.." I grumbled at sheik again once we were out of the forest and impa had me in that painful position again.

Impa waked me upside the head causing me to fall.

"What was that for?!"

She smiled, "I personally asked my brother to help with your training. Not only do you need to learn how to disappear and run fast but you should always keep your guard up. It could save your life."

I groaned, "this is unfair, two against one?"

Impa narrowed her eyes at me, "neither is the battlefield. I asked you if you were willing to learn our ways until the end. This will not be easy."

I swear I shuddered. She talks like a general.

But yet again, she is the leader of the ninj- I mean sheikah tribe.

I sighed, " I already said I'm in didn't I? I don't Leave things unfinished."

Impa smiled, "good, let's continue."

I saw sheik walk over to a nearby tree and sit down, watching both impa and me.

I frowned and whispered, "impa.. What happened to his back?"

Impa looked at him and sighed, "he took a blow last night when you were attacked."

I looked down sadly.

He got hurt because of me..

"Why didn't you guys use one of the fairies on him?"

Impa sighed, "he insisted we used both on you. Apparently you weren't just stabbed, the blade was also poisoned with powerful black magic. One fairy wasn't enough to heal you completely."

I frowned, "but I would still be half healed, I could have still survived with only one."

She smiled, "why don't you ask him yourself?"

I huffed, "I won't talk to him.."

"Why?"

I growled, "because he's a rude bitch."

WHACK!

I fell to the ground on my butt and whined.

"It's true!"

Impa smirked, "maybe, but that is still no language for a lady. Now listen well, I hope you and my brother start over and become friends again or the next few days will be horrible for you."

eeeeehh?!

"Whaat? Why?!"

"I will be out for a few days, and sheik will be in charge of training you." She smirked.

I let myself drop fully to the ground.

Why me?
