"Hey, Chi Yun!"

Chi Yun Li turned to see one of his fellow members of Wang Hu Zhong jogging up to him. He didn't care for Chao Xin's flashy appearance and beyblading skills until now, because the blader didn't make an attempt to even train.

It was only recently when Chao Xin started working harder ever since he got beaten by Masamune Kadoya, a loud chatter-box on Japan's team.

"What?"

"Say, are you going to ask Kara out yet?"

Chi Yun raised a disinterested eyebrow, the name registering a few seconds after that. "Wh-What? No!"

Chao Xin laughed out loud, clearly not buying it as he clasped the boy's shoulder. "Sure...anyways, we're all heading towards her house tonight?

"That's correct."

Chi Yun spun around to see Dashan Wang leaning against a wall, a beige duffle bag carelessly slung over his shoulder. "Go pack for two nights, all right Chi Yun?"

Dashan stepped up, rapping at the door three times. He stepped back as he waited for it to open.

"You guys are finally here!" a blonde swung open the door, beaming at the group of four.

"Yes, fanks for inviting us over, Kara," Mei Mei gushed, hurrying inside as Kara stepped aside to allow her to hustle in.

Chao Xin sighed, dragging a hand down his face as he heaved his own bag and followed her inside. "Don't you mean thanks?"

She yelled something back at him that was muffled. Dashan good-naturedly rolled his eyes, nudging Chi Yun forward. "Come on, Chi Yun."

Chi Yun glanced half-heartedly at him before going in, nodding at Kara, who smiled in return. "Good evening, Kara," he said stiffly, but her own smile made his lips twitch upwards slightly.

It was strange for the usually-busy group to lounge upon couches and watch a movie. They were half-way through Despicable Me 2, Mei Mei clearly trying to stifle her giggles every thirty seconds.

"Kara, can Chi Yun have the popcorn, please?" Chi Yun asked, his amber eyes flashing towards her face, which was dimly lit up by the screen.

She nodded, her head bobbling in the dark as she reached for the popcorn sitting between Mei Mei and her. Kara brought it over, sliding it into Chi Yun's lap. "I hope you like it," she murmured in a low tone.

Chi Yun rubbed at his neck, almost certain that he could feel a bit of heat creeping up as he scooped a few bits of popcorn out of the bowl. "It's well," he mumbled back.

When he reached back in, Kara did the same, her pale hand dipping into the bowl and brushing his.

Almost worriedly, Chi Yun locked his gaze with hers, startled by the gentleness in her eyes. His cheeks were now red, just barely noticeable in the dark room.

"Just sit back and enjoy the movie, Chi Yun," Kara whispered.
