Of School Memories Tainted In Blood [Danganronpa]
UnchainedHeart a bunch of little drabbles that came up in my head here and there with different characters and different AU's. I may mention canon characters.
Aruto & Shigi:
The two were prepping for the return of their second year to their school: Hope's Peak Academy.
"Lady Shigi," Aruto called, appearing just as he tugs his pristine, white glove onto his left hand. "Are you ready?"
The girl didn't pay attention to him, her eyes were attached to the mirror as she fiddled with her braid.
Aruto stalked on over, taking her bow in one hand and her unfinished braid in the other. With precise hands, he started weaving the hair into the same pattern.
Yawning, one hand pressed over her mouth, Shigi blinked sleepily at the mirror, in which she cannot hear Aruto, but only see, since her hearing aids, always used on the first day so she can see how to pronounce names, were on the table in front of her.
"We will be late," Aruto said in sign language, but his expression was as composed as ever, finding no reason to leave if his mistress didn't.
Shigi tugged the braid forward for inspection, her eyes flickering in joy as she signed back out of thanks.
"Thank you!"
Shino & Toshi
Toshi was not aware of the fact that this large man seems to recognize him- Shino was a rather big fan of the acrobat, or, at least, his family was.
It was odd to everyone, as they walked side by side- the small boy with hardly any presence at all, and the big, rather burly man with a dominating one (who's a big softie).
Somehow, they found each other's presence strangely comforting. Toshi, who's aura was not one loud and boisterous, rather calm and inward. Shino, who seemed like the man with a loud booming voice instead of the stutter he had.
Nikko & Ryo
On the island, currently taking residence in the restaurant, the two Ultimates seemed to have taken up the roles of a guardian: watching over the others.
Nikko stared off into the distance while Ryo pricked himself on his own needle, watching the blood well up with no expression.
"I see Hottie Number Three," the ski jumper droned, his eyes flashing to the orange-headed girl out on a run. His body language didn't change at all except for the slight lift of his head from his palm.
Ryo merely bobbled his head up and down in response, pressing his other finger to the cut to stop the bleeding and looking up.
The genealogist pulled himself from his spot, looking over Nikko's own head from where he was sitting, slouched over.
"Do you think Hottie Number Three would appreciate if I said what I thought about her...?"
A shift of Ryo's hand. It moved from the chair to flick Nikko squarely in the forehead.
"Don't be stupid."
Mastermind! Hibiki & Ame
It was a chilly Friday night when blood stained Hibiki's lips.
"I hate you, I hate you, I hate you~" Hibiki sang, looking at his bloodstained fingers that had bled from the cuts he had cut in with a knife. "Why won't you love me?"
The idol's screams and pleads were cut short.
"Don't play doll with me, Ame-chan! After all, everyone hurts. You know what loving me granted? The ability to cause you the greatest pain in the world. The ability to burn your heart to cinders."
Midori & Nikko
"I can take care of myself, you know!" The runner snapped as he caught him trailing after her.
His hands slid into his pockets as Nikko blinked, a movement slow and calculated despite his overall body language.
"We can't have any of the hotties getting hurt."
"YOU WANNA DAMN FIST IN YOUR FACE?! 'CAUSE YOU'RE GONNA GET MINE IF YOU KEEP REFERRING TO US AS THAT!"
Toshi & Aka & Koto
As Toshi was pulled along like a meek kitten, Aka chattering about how Koto and Toshi would get along, the dog trainer peeked at him every few moments.
"Wait here!" Aka spun around, setting her hands on her hips. "Don't run off, okay?"
With a smile, the bee keeper shot into the market.
Fiddling with a bracelet Koto had found in her pocket, the girl noticed Toshi's eyes being drawn to the trinkets that clicked together.
She stopped. His eyes darted away. She started to fiddle with it again. His eyes flashed to the bracelet again.
With one hand, Koto in lipped one of the dog trinkets from the bracelet, and with a shaking, extended arm, offered it to Toshi.
"A-Ah, I-I-I-I just n-n-n-n-noticed that y-y-yo-you se-se-seemed to be i-interested..."
The acrobat shook his head in a short 'no', seemingly uncomfortable by the attention put on him.
"P-P-Pl-Please...?"
The meek words of the dog trainer made him hesitate.
With that, Koto gently tossed the dog in front of him and turned her attention to the market.
She had seen Toshi pick up some items here and there, and she had never seen them again.
Aka exited with a flashlight, giving them a wide smile.
Koto's eyes darted to the ground.
The dog trinket was gone. Toshi's hand was just slipping out of his pocket.
Aruto & Midori
Ever since she had snarled at them during their introduction, Aruto had been on guard towards Midori.
She was a feisty one, no doubt- and her hair color matched just that. Come near her and spittle would fly out of her mouth, demanding your motive for your presence.
Now, the runner was just finishing up her morning run- like Aruto, she was an early riser. Midori's eyes showed no signs of tiredness he sometimes saw in his mistress' eyes.
Across the docks of the cottages, their eyes met.
Her eyes were sneering, daring.
Daring for him to come up and clip her in the jaw, get some sort of satisfaction in there.
The butler blinked, shaking the thought from his mind. Tugging sharply on his gloves as if it was a habit, the redhead turned his back on her.
I dare you.
Misa & Midori
A lot of her doubts about this island was surfacing from that sculptor.
The climber was decent enough- Midori hasn't said a word to him, and damn it to hell if he intended to talk to her.
But the sculptor. The goddamn sculptor.
She was pessimistic- but to the point where her fears were taken to the second level.
Midori hated being swayed to someone's side without having a say to it.
Misa, Cal, Aruto & Kanon
After the killing game ended, Misa and Cal managed to survive unscathed.
Physically.
Misa's pessimism took a massive turn for the worse, and even Cal's mindset took suffering damage that lasted for years.
Therapy occurred, both of them scarred beyond reason, their minds battered and shaken.
The other two survivors, Aruto and Kanon, faired quite well when it came to just glancing at them and their everyday plan.
Aruto had unbelievable trust issues to the point where he couldn't even eat the own food provided by therapy and had to watch them make it, mixed with anxiety.
Kanon had terrifying nightmares, so she couldn't sleep alone (thus ended up in all four sleeping in a room together- it comforted them). During the day, she had panic attacks.
After all, broken people could never be fixed. Their broken parts could only be glued together- never reverted back into their original state.
Mastermind! Rei & Kanon
"What do you shoot? Guns? Bows?"
It had been a harmless question at the time.
Now, he forced her to shoot.
Shoot anything that moved.
People, mostly.
Hibiki was down. Aruto was down. Misa, Aka, Elliot. Cal was on the floor, his chest barely moving as he struggled to breathe.
The markswoman's hands were trembling.
"Hm? How does it feel to become the weapon itself?"
His words were first coated with poisonous sugar. It was only now when she could see the fabricated sweets.
I'm sorry.
The trigger clicked. Ame wasn't going to move again.
I'm so sorry.
