A: Angel [Madimo]

Madimo (Maddox X Shikimo) ABC thing. I'm kinda iffy on Maddox's personality, so let's see how this turns out. Writen for KhristynZoeBas 's birthday, July 19th~

When Shikimo and Maddox started dating, the latter couldn't believe it.

Yes, most people believed he had been courting Madeleine before he died, but Maddox never would've guessed that there was a life after death for certain people, and he never expected to fall in love with the girl from the early 1900's.

She was much older then him, technically- while Maddox had only been dead for a little over two years, she had been dead for over a century.

"Shikimo?"

"Mhm?"

His girlfriend was curled up on the couch, her legs drawn to her chest, hazel-green eyes glassy with sleep, much like an innocent child as she raised her head in response to her name.

"... Why are you dating me?"

The question seemed to arouse Shikimo's curiosity, as she stretched her arms up over her head as if reaching for the sky, allowing her gaze to fall on Maddox, who was seated at the dining table, leaning against the counter.

"I could ask you the same question," she responded with a giggle. "But it's because I love you, very, very much!"

"Shikimo, I killed-"

"Yourself and other people, I know. So did Riv-Riv. But we need to focus on the present, not the past."

Maddox watched her with careful eyes as the brunette walked over to him, bopping him on the nose.

"And I told you, riiiiiight? Angels can sense auras!"

He gave a slow blink in reply, head cocked to the side as he shifted through his memories, files in a desk cabinet, to recall her words.

"Yeah, you said that... so...?"

Clicking her tongue, Shikimo pouted. "Remember, remember? I loved the feel of your aura, so I wasn't under the impression that you did annnnnyyyythiiiiiing wrong!"

"I barely got pass the trial," Maddox reminded her.

"Most people are like that," she chided, as if scolding a young child. "So don't take it out on yourself like that!"

"I suppose," Maddox sighed, but his eyes and the lurking tone, that prowled behind his words like a predator ready to strike, stated otherwise.

"Mad-dy, don't doubt yourself!" Shikimo puffed out her cheeks, going up on her tippy-toes to tug Maddox away from the counter, her arms wrapping around his neck.

He mumbled something in response to the sudden contact, and despite dating this bubbly girl for nearly three months now, physical contact was still something he blushed heavily at.

Meanwhile, Shikimo adjusted quickly.

"Shikimo..." Maddox muttered into her shoulder. "... I told you that I'm a walking tornado that's prepared to rip anything and everything away in a single moment."

"Well, you can't do that!"

"It's not like I can control-"

Shikimo pulled back from the hug, her smile radiant as she beamed up at Maddox, eyes about just as bright as the sun shining through the clouds.

"If you took everything away, you're be taking my guardian angel away!"

Maddox blinked in surprise, sliding his hands into his pockets and looking at Shikimo with layers of complex curiosity in his eyes.

"Your... guardian angel?" He echoed. "Do you know the irony behind your words?"

"Of course I do! Since I'm actually the angel here~! People say that they love their guardian angel, right? Well, my guardian angel is everything!"

After a few moments, a weak smile flitted across Maddox's lips.

An angel, out of all things.

He was dating an angel, someone with flaws but perfect in his eyes, as he saw her flaws as beautiful as well, and Maddox couldn't of been happier with her.
