Previously on Chapter 33

"I love you too" I said. He leans down, placing his lips against mine. I wrap my arms around his neck. He pulls me closer until I'm sitting on his lap. I tilt my head as I deepen our kiss. I feel a smile on his face in between the kiss, making me smile too. I'm so happy to be back in his arms again. Hopefully this time it will be forever.

-Make Us Human-

Y/N P.O.V

The sun has finally set, so Akaza and I continue making our way to the Demon Slayer Headquarters. To say that I'm nervous would be an understatement. I'm anxious as I don't know what their reaction would be. What if they refuse to accept Akaza.

"Y/N?" A voice said, as come near the Headquarters. I turn around to see it's Kyoujuro. His eyes widen at the sight of me. He rushes over to me. "You're back!" He said. He turn his head to the side, finally taking notice of Akaza next to me. "You're here too..." he said.

"Long time no see, Kyoujuro..." Akaza said. Kyoujuro just nod his head in to acknowledge him. Akaza turn his head to look at me. "Thank you for looking after Y/N for me. But, my master has finally agreed to let her go. So, you don't have to take care of her anymore because I'm here" he said.

"Kibutsuji agreed let her go?" He said. Akaza nods his head. He turn his head to look at me. I nod my head to confirm what Akaza said is true. "Hmm... didn't expect that coming from the Demon King" he said. I just send him a small smile. Even I was in disbelief when Muzan agreed to let me go. So I can't blame Kyoujuro to have that kind of reaction.

I hear footsteps coming closer towards us. I turn my head to see it's Mitsuri and the others. Her eyes widen at the sight of me. She starts sprinting towards me. I yelped in surprise when she throws her arms around me. I let out a nervous laugh when she starts to cry while saying that she's glad to see me here.

"Oi..." a voice said. I turn my head to see it's Iguro-San. He eyed Akaza for a brief moment before turning to look at me. "You do know what place this is, right?" He asked. I nod my head at what he said.

"So why did you bring this demon here? That demon served right under Kibutsuji. Are you trying to bring danger to Oyakata-Sama and his family?" He asked, pointing at Akaza. My eyes widen at what he said.

"W-Wha-... of course not!" I said. He stares at me with a judging look. "I'd never try to bring harm to Oyakata-Sama or his family. I'm here to ask for help" I said. I turn my head to look at Akaza. "Akaza wants to ask for help. We want to ask Kocho for help... to make us human..." I said.

"Make you human?" He said. He scoffs at what I said. "What makes you think that's possible?" He said. I just stare at him, not knowing how to respond to the words he just said. What makes me think that's possible? I'm not even sure there's a way or a cure that would turn me and Akaza back into humans.

"It is possible... remember that I'm told to work with a demon named Tamayo?" Kocho said. I turn my head to look at her. She turns to me and smiles. "I'll do my best, L/N-San. You've been one of the kindest person I have ever known. I will help you..." she said.

"We still need to get Oyakata-Sama's approval before we get to do anything else. That includes... whether he will let this demon stay with us or not" he said. He points at Akaza as he said the last sentence. I nod my head at his comment. That's the obvious thing Akaza and I need to do. Of course, we have to ask Oyakata-Sama's approval if we want to stay here.

We are now gathered in front of Oyakata-Sama. Akaza stays indoor since the sun is up. "I heard that Y/N has returned to us. But she didn't come alone. She's with a demon who she's been seeing. The Upper Moon 3. So, Y/N... what's the meaning of this?" He said. I flinch at his words.

I lift my head to look at him. "You see, Oyakata-Sama. Kibutsuji finally agreed to let me go. Akaza and I didn't know what else we should do now that we don't have to worry about the Demon King chasing after us again..." I said. I bit my lips nervously as I turn my head to look at the others.

"I was... I was wondering, if you'd let us stay here. I was hoping that I could ask Kocho for assistance. She's currently trying to make a cure that will help Nezuko, so she could turn back into a human" I said. I turn my head as I stare at the ground. "I was hoping she'd be able to make a serum for me and Akaza too. We want to be able to turn back into a human" I said.

I turn my head to look at Oyakata-Sama again. "But of course, Akaza and I would need your approval for us to stay..." I said. I place both of my hands on the ground, bowing at the leader of the Demon Slayer Corps. "Please, Oyakata-Sama. We have no where else to go..." I said, in a pleading tone.

"Y/N..." he said. I lift my head slightly to look at him. A soft smile is present on his face. "You have been nothing but a reliable ally. You've proven yourself so many times that despite being a demon, you have assists us in many ways" he said. I feel hope swell up in my heart at what he said. The smile on his face widens a little. "Of course, you are welcomed here, my dear. With that being said, I hope the rest of you will welcome Y/N and her lover as well. I hope none of you will give these two a hard time" he said.

I feel tears starts swelling up in my eyes at what he said. I start to cry softly as I bow my head again. "Thank you, Oyakata-Sama... thank you so much!" I cried out. I'm so thankful that I get to know someone as kind as Oyakata-Sama. I'm glad he accepted Akaza and I. Now all we can do is wait and hope that Kocho will be able to create a serum for us. So Akaza and I can turn back into humans.
