Super Saiyan God
Zira's P.O.V.
The party continued on without any terrible mis-haps. There were a few things that annoyed Lord Beerus here and there, but every time I was able to calm his anger before it blew up into anything serious. Vegeta seemed astounded with how I handled him, and despite my success, he still eyed us cautiously the whole time. I couldn't exactly blame him, but I also wasn't worried. I didn't think Beerus was gonna stay much longer anyway. He looked a little tired, leaning against the railing of the boat and yawning.
"I gotta say, while this whole search might've been a bust, this party hasn't been half bad. I suppose this planet isn't all that bad." he admitted. "Indeed, and if nothing else, the food is to die for!" Whis stated. "Wrong, it's to live for!" Beerus corrected, giving a little chuckle. I smiled, feeling pleased. When Beerus isn't constantly getting mad, he was actually kinda a nice person to hang out with.
"Well, I apologize you couldn't find your Super Saiyan God. It's possible you'll find more information elsewhere." I said hopefully.
"No, I think this was the only place that had a chance at information, and it doesn't seem like it'll work. Oh well, I guess I'll go back home and take a nap." Beerus stated. "Very well, my lord, let me just get some food for the road. I heard they have this amazing delicacy called sushi, and I'd love to take some home!" Whis said, eyeing the sushi cart nearby. The destroyer nodded lazily, gesturing him to shoo off.
"Yes, yes, hurry up then. I'm not a fan of waiting." he stated. Whis barely acknowledged his stern tone as he hurried to the sushi stand.
"Remind me of how you even thought of this warrior? You said it came to you in a premonition?" I asked curiously. "Indeed. And I really had my hopes up to finally have a worthy opponent. But, at the very least," he paused for a moment to glance at me before giving a small smile, "the company wasn't so annoying." I blinked, surprised by his "compliment". Even so, I happily accepted it with a friendly smile.
"And I'm glad I could see a bit of the real Lord Beerus...." I murmured, mostly speaking to myself. However I noticed the purple cat's ear twitch towards me, along with a curious expression on his face.
"What does that mean-"
"Yo, Lord Beerus!" Beerus and I perked up. To my surprise, Goku started to walk towards us, wearing his usual goofy grin. I was surprised by his presence. I thought Beerus had knocked him out cold on King Kai's world? I guess he's recooperated since then. "Hmm, remind me who you are again....? Ah yes, you're that Saiyan I met on Kai's world." Beerus replied, although he hardly seemed interested, swaying his tail from side to side.
"Sorry to disturb you, I just came to see how things were going." he replied. "Not too shabby I suppose. I was just getting to know of your fellow Saiyans, Zira here." Beerus replied. "Yeah? She's really nice, isn't she? She gets along great with everybody! She's especially good with kids!" Goku stated.
"Yes, I noticed." Beerus replied his smile growing just a little more. "Anyway, did you manage to find out anything about this Super Saiyan God?" Goku asked curiously. This question made the destroyer sigh in disappointment. "I'm afraid not, it seems our trail has finally run dry. In fact, as soon as Whis gets his precious sushi, we're going to be leaving." Beerus stated.
"THANK GOD!!"
The three of us looked to the end of the boat, seeing Vegeta suddenly blink at us. He immediately shut up and smiled nervously, pretending to drink his empty cup. "I guess someone is happy I'll be leaving...." Beerus muttered bitterly.
Goku closed his eyes and began to think, crossing his arms across his chest. "Weird, I've never even heard of this warrior before. But there must be something we can do find one....OH! I got it!" he cried excitedly, slamming a fist into his hand. Beerus and I blinked, looking to each other briefly before looking back at the Saiyan. "What's your plan?" I asked.
"I know how we can make one come here! We can just use the Dragon Balls to summon Shenran the dragon, and we can wish for the Super Saiyan God! Easy as that!" Goku stated. Beerus perked up, placing a hand on his chin. "Dragon Balls, huh? I honestly forgot those even existed. I guess that could work, but wouldn't that require searching the entire Earth for them? I don't have time for that...."
"No, that's not true!" I said, looking at the excitedly. "Bulma told me there would be three grand prizes for her games. The first place prize are all the Dragon Balls! I'm pretty sure she has them on the boat somewhere!"
"Yeah, but Bulma probably won't be too happy handing those over. She wants to use them for her party...." Goku said. "Yeah well too bad. If she knows what's good for her, she'll hand them over." Beerus stated. With newfound determination, he started to march over to Bulma and Chi Chi, a demanding expression on his face. Goku and I looked to each other nervously before quickly following after him. Once Beerus was in front of Bulma, he tapped her shoulder.
"Hmm?" Bulma turned to face the destroyer, having no idea what who he really was. "Oh, hey Beerus. Is something wrong?" she asked. Beerus crossed his arms impatiently, his tail flickering behind him.
"I understand you're in posession of the Dragon Balls. I'm gonna have to be a little frank here, I'd like for you to hand them over right now." he stated. Bulma and Chi Chi looked at him surprised, but Vegeta's wife was quick to glare at him. "Now hold on, you can't just demand for them! They're prizes for the main game! If you want them, you'll have to wait and win them yourself!" she stated. Beerus's eyes narrowed, looking unhappy with her response.
"I don't think you heard me quite right....the Dragon Balls, now."
"Hmph! I don't think so. Especially when you're acting like such a jacka-"
"Bulma, sweetie!" Vegeta quickly stepped in behind his wife, pulling her back, "I need to speak with you for a moment!" he said. He gave Beerus a brief apologetic expression before making himself and Bulma step back, with Chi Chi following them. Goku and I quickly joined the group.
"What's going on here? Why is he suddenly acting like that?" Bulma asked. I sighed. "I'm sorry, Bulma. It's kinda a long story. But right now, we really need those Dragon Balls." I explained. Goku nodded. "Yeah, we'd really appreciate you giving them to us! And we'll return the favor somehow! So please, can we have them? Please?" he stated. Bulma frowned, hands on her hips.
"Pretty please?" Goku again pleaded. No response.
"....super saiyan please?" Finally, a sigh of defeat.
"Fine. But you owe me." she stated. Within a few moments, she called for Goten and Trunks to fetch the Dragon Balls. It was only a matter of time till all seven were gathered at the center of the boat. Although by this point, everyone was more than curious with what was happening, forming a small crowd.
"I don't get it. Why does Beerus need this wish so badly?" Gohan asked. "He wants to wish for this Super Saiyan God. Apparently, it's suppose to be a really strong warrior. I guess he wants a new opponent to fight, and this is the only way how." I explained. Beerus stepped forward, looking down at all the Dragon Balls before him. Everyone suddenly remained quiet, watching him curiously. Whis quietly joined my side, holding two small boxes of what I assumed were sushi.
"Oh my. What did I miss?"
Beerus took a deep breath and began the chant to summon the dragon. "Rise, Shenron!!"
The orange orbs began to glow brightly gold, briefly blinding everyone us, including me. I winced, holding up my arm to cover my eyes. I could barely notice the dark clouds and lightning above me. Then I saw something long, green and scaly emerge from the golden light. Once the glowing died down, I lowered my arm and gasped, eyes widening. Floating high above us was none other than Shenron the dragon, his beady red eyes glaring down at us all. I couldn't help but feels a chill go down my spine. I was told stories of this creature, but I've never seen him in person before. It was breathtaking....
"I am Shenron. I shall grant you any wish. Now speak." the great dragon spoke, his deep voice speaking plainly and clearly. Goku took a step forward.
"Hey uh, sorry to cut right to the chase, but uh, have you heard of this thing called a Super Saiyan God? And if you have, well, then we'd like to use a wish to bring him here." he explained.
"I'm aware of the God you speak of...." Shenron spoke. "Awesome! Now we don't have to upset Lord Beerus!" Goku stated. Strangely enough, the dragon suddenly blinked, searching around frantically. "W-Wait what?! Did you say Lord Beerus?!" he said in a panicked tone. Sure enough, once he spotted the destroyer, he flinched.
"Hey." Beerus replied coolly.
"Oh, uh, hi Lord Beerus. Nice to meet you. Uh, forgive me for looking down on you from way up here. It's just my height, I don't think I'm better than you. In fact, I know I'm not better than-"
"Don't worry about it, just hurry up and a Super Saiyan God for me. I'm getting bored." Beerus stated deadpanned. Shenron blinked, as if unsure what to say. "Well, the truth is I can't exactly summon on right at this moment I'm afraid. It's, kinda a whole thing, you know...." he said. "Huh? Shenron, what are you talking about?" I asked. Beerus growled slightly, making the dragon flinch again.
"....what was that?" Beerus asked in a low, threatening tone.
"Uh, y-yes Lord Beerus, the problem is that I humbly regret to inform you, is that although the Super Saiyan God you've spoken of is Saiyan mythology, such deities don't exist in the present day unfortunately. However, if you'd like to know the method of creating one, then it would be my great honor to tell you." the dragon quickly explained.
Beerus's eye twitched slightly with impatience.
"Uh, yes now, okay....the process is described in the legends of Planet Namek. Five Saiyans with righteous hearts must join hands and instill their inner light into another. With his friend's energy flowing through him, this Saiyan shall then take the form of a Super Saiyan God. And that's, pretty much everything you need to know, so uh...." Goku started to count with his fingers. I started to count in my head as well. If it's correct, I think we have enough Saiyans for this....
"I have given you what I desire. Your wish has been fulfilled. Now, if there's nothing else, may I please be excused?" Shenron asked. The dragon only waited a moment before he made a decision himself.
"Very well. Lord Beerus, it was an honor to meet you, and I hope to be of help again in the future. Farewell." he stated. With that quickly said, he disappeared, and the Dragon Balls took off into the sky, then spread across the Earth. With that done we all looked to each other, still kinda unsure of what to do....
