His name was Frost

Zira's P.O.V.

The sight I saw could only be described as incredible. Floating around us were six humungus Dragon Balls, surrounding one red planet in the middle. I couldn't believe how huge the Dragon Balls were, each one no doubt the size of a planet! The orange surfaces of each one shined off the starlights, giving each one a mysterious looking aura. These weren't anything like the ones on Earth. Who could even make Dragon Balls this large?

"Holy crap! Those things are huge!" Krillin replied, looking through the box. Bulma joined him, eyes wide.

"No kidding! They're the size of planets! We could live on one of those!" she stated. As everyone gawked in awe I slowly made my way to Frieza's side, seeing that he too was looking at them with shocked eyes.

"Look at them....aren't they amazing! I never imagined such Dragon Balls even exist." I stated, unable to take my eyes off them. "Indeed. I'm surprised I'm only just learning of their existence...." Frieza murmured, hand on his chin as he observed curiously. "Yeah well, there's a reason they're nicknamed the Super Dragon Balls," Beerus replied before looking up at Whis, "That's enough site-seeing, Whis. Let's get going." he said. Whis nodded and guided the exehydron away from the large, orange orb below us, heading towards the red planet in the middle.

It looked deserted and desolate, with only red rock covering it, but it still seemed to be around the same size as the Super Dragon Balls. On it's surface, I could see a large, glass dome, where I assumed the tournament would take place. The box lowered itself inside, and I looked around at my surroundings. This Lord Champa really out-did himself with the decorating; there was a large, square floor with white stone tiles covering it, benches surrounding the arena, and two large portraits on either side. One was unmistakenably Lord Beerus, and the other I assumed was Lord Champa....he was like what Goku described. Same purple skin, yellow eyes, and large ears. But he wore red pants instead of blue, and of course, he was significantly larger than Lord Beerus.

Frieza eyed the portrait with a raised brow. "Am I to assume that's this Lord Champa we were told about?" he asked, not sounding impressed. "I guess so. I mean, he does look related at least." I replied.

"About time you got here!" We all looked up to the whiny voice, to see none other than Lord Champa himself float towards us, hovering over the exehydron. Beside him was his angel assistant; she was practically a mirror version to Whis, sharing the same blue skin, purple lips, pale blue eyes and even long white hair in a large ponytail. The only significant difference was that she wore a green outfit instead of Whis's red velvet. If someone told me they were siblings, I'd believe them - it's quite possible they are.

"Apologies for being late, but we're all accounted for now." Whis replied. "No need to explain yourself, Whis. The fact is we're here, and that's all that matters." Beerus stated, floating out of the box to join his side. Champa gave a mocking smile. "Now is that any way to speak to your dear brother, Beerus? You outta show a little respect for all the work I put into our little arena." he stated.

"Is that so? I was under the impression you had me prepare everything, my lord." Champa's assistant replied, slight sass in her cold tone. The destroyer gave her a swift glare before rolling his eyes. "Yes, yes, what Vados has prepared for us. Happy?" Champa replied, and Vados gave a small giggle.

"I guess it all looks fine. But those benches don't seem comfortable in the slightest..." Beerus stated, referring to the gym like benches that surrounded the arena. Champa blinked before giving a small growl, ears flattening. "The benches are fine. Just what's wrong with them?" he demanded. "Come now, Champa, you understand we're destroyers, right? I think we deserve something far more....comfortable, don't you think?" Beerus stated with a smirk. He nodded his head to Whis, who sighed before raising his staff.

It glowed a moment, causing the benches to disappear. Instead, smaller platform like seats were shown; higher ones for the destroyers and contestants, and lower ones for the Supreme Kai and visitors. Despite the size reduction, they did indeed seem more comfortable.

"There, much better." Beerus stated. Champa growled, fists clenched. "Hey! I didn't give you permission to do that!" he snapped. Beerus gave his own growl, floating over to his face. "Oh yeah?! And just what are you gonna do about it, fatty?!" he snapped.

"Who're you calling fatty?!"

The two continued to bicker and growl at each other, causing Frieza to let out a frustrated sigh. "They bicker like children...." he muttered. I gave my own little sigh. I almost thought about flying up to stop them, but Whis was quick to move the box away from the two bickering deities, and towards one of the large spectator platforms. Rather than any chairs to sit in, soft grass was provided for the bottom, creating an inviting place to sit. Everyone slowly began to leave the box, looking around and taking their seats.

Once everyone was settled, Goku, Frieza, Vegeta, Piccolo and I flew away. Everyone gave the competitors cheers and tidings of good luck before we got too far. Goku said hi to the Supreme Kai real quick before Vados led us to one of the platforms, where apparently a written test was to be given to the competitors, so they could be shown to understand the rules.

"I still find it rather annoying a test is required for this competition." Frieza muttered, arms folded over his chest. "I'm sure it won't be that bad. They can't make it that hard....right?" Goku asked, sounding a little uncertain himself. "Let's just get it over with so we can start this thing." Vegeta stated, impatience already lacing his tone. Once we reached the platform, we could finally get a look Universe 6's warriors; and it was quite an unexpected variety.

The first one I noticed was a large, round, yellow bear. On the surface he seemed somewhat ordinary, but judging by his size, he was gonna have immense strength, and even more formiddable defense. The second most noticable warrior was a large metal man, seeming even taller than the bear. "Look at that metal guy....he's not just a robot, is he?" Goku asked. "If he's here, I can't imagine he is. Still, it is rather bizarre...." I replied.

The third competitor didn't hesitate to walk towards us, immediately going towards Goku and Vegeta. He looked kinda familiar; short, black hair, dark eyes, and a strange warrior suit of sorts. The outfit he wore though looked familar, like I saw it in a book somewhere....

"Oh, hello." Goku said as the boy approached us. He looked quite young, probably no older than 18 or so. And he seemed even shorter than Vegeta. "Hello. I apologize, but I'd like to cut to the chase; are you two Saiyans?" he asked. Goku smiled and nodded. "Yep. My name is Goku. And this here is Vegeta." he replied, gesturing to the Saiyan prince beside him. I perked up, my eyes widening. That's where I've seen him! That outfit he's wearing is from the Saiyans that lived on Sedala, before it was destroyed and we conquered Planet Vegeta. I saw those outfits in books before. So that means....he's a Saiyan.

"Strange...." I murmured. As the three Saiyans spoke amongst each other, I looked over at Frieza. His focus was on something else entirely though, and he stared at it with great intensity, almost as if he felt threatened. I followed his gaze to where he was looking, and I gasped slightly upon seeing the fourth contestant.

He was the same race Frieza was. In fact....he looked almost identical to Frieza's first form, except for the blue, white, and dark grey color scheme. Otherwise, I would've assumed this was Frieza's twin, had I not known he was from an entirely different universe. The alien sat calmly at his seat, eyes closed, and tail lazily swaying behind him. However, he seemed to sense our stares, as he finally opened his eyes and looked towards our direction.

"This is really bizarre...." I thought.

To my surprise, however, the alien gave us a friendly smile before standing up from his seat. As he slowly walked towards us, Frieza narrowed his eyes, his guard up. It seemed obvious that he didn't trust this other Frieza. Soon the alien stood before us, clearing his throat before placing his hands behind his back.

"Well well, this is quite the interesting turn of events. I wasn't expecting to encounter one of my own at this little competition." he said. Frieza eyed the alien up and down before replying. "Indeed. Neither was I." he replied.

"I suppose introductions would be best; my name is Frost. It's an honor to meet you, and I hope to have a honest brawl with you on the battlefield. I'm quite interested to see what skills you possess." the alien said, his smile growing wider. I couldn't help but feel taken aback; so far, Frost wasn't acting at all like Frieza. He actually seemed polite, and even kind. In fact, it seemed almost strange....maybe a little out of character.

Frieza blinked, somewhat surprised himself before giving a dark chuckle. "Well, Frost, I suppose I should make this clear - I am Lord Frieza. And you should know that if we are to meet on that battlefield today, I can't guarantee that all your limbs will be intact." he stated coldly. His tail swished dangerously behind him, almost like a snake about to strike. Frost blinked before giving his own chuckle, brushing off Frieza's threat.

"I see. Well, if that's how you wish to be....then I'll be sure not to hold back."

Right there, hidden in his words....I could practically taste the venom in his tone.

He acts all friendly, but something we off about this Frost....at the same time though, I couldn't help but be intrigued. However, I was taken aback by Frost suddenly flashing me a warm smile. "And it's rather rare to see a beauty such as yourself, my dear. Are you competing as well?" he asked. I blushed, not expecting the compliment. "Oh, no. I'm just here to watch, that's all." I replied.

"I see, I suppose that makes sense. Such beauty as yourself shouldn't dirty their hands on the battlefield." Frost replied sweetly. I didn't even realize he had taken my hand, and was leaning down to kiss it - before Frieza swiftly smacked his hand away with his tail.

Both of us jumped in surprise before looking to Frieza. But he didn't react, eyes closed and turning his head away, as if nothing happened. "Frieza...." I murmured. He's never acted like that before. Frost seemed amused, and gave a slight chuckle.

"Excuse me, but we do have a test to begin. So will all participants please take their seats." Vados said. Frost's smile widened as he turned away from us. "I suppose I'll see you later....Frieza." he replied, almost mockingly as he returned to his seat. Frieza snickered, taking a quick glance at me before heading to his own seat. The other competitors did the same, each finding a seat. Vados joined my side, raising a brow.

"I apologize, miss Zira, but I must ask that you go sit with Lord Beerus. I'd rather our competitors aren't distracted." she replied. Her words were stern, but her tone was surprisingly polite. I immediately nodded. "Yes of course. I apologize." I stated, and started to fly away from the platform. I was only a few feet away before I paused, feeling an intense stare behind me, prompting me to look over my shoulder.

That's when I saw the last warrior from Universe 6.

He was a tall man, wearing a dark coat, had guards on his arms and legs, and had purple skin. However, the moment I saw those fierce, red eyes, I gasped slightly. An intense shiver went down my spine. Something was different about him....the energy I sensed from him was massive, practically radiating off him. And it didn't feel anything like Goku's or Frieza's energy either; it felt much more intense, almost as if it was targeting me specifically.

I quickly pulled my eyes away from his gaze, giving my head a slight shake. Then I let out a shaky breath as I flew towards Lord Beerus's seat, wondering just what exactly was gonna happen in this tournament.
