Author's POV 

Chae-yeon's reason for refusal to the contract was really simple. The mask. All she wanted was a happy life with Jungkook where she would have no one to question her and she was definitely happy with the money she would have around her. Only if she didn't let Y/N come in between. 

Jungkook might have said that the reason he put on a mask was to avoid the creep Chae-yeon staring at him. But, no. It was not the exact reason. All he wanted was pure love. He too, faced a lot of losses. Not materialistic things, but something which were intangible, irreplaceable. His mother, his father's love and a brother's dignity were among the list of things he had lost. And now his paralyzed areas were also added. He never liked being judged on the slightest things and doubting, criticizing and cursing himself was like a daily habit to him. He put on mask, not only to hide his own insecurities but also to stop being judged. But little did he know that this would become a hot issue for him and now since he had already set the fire, he could not back away from it. Another reason which he asserts for putting a mask is for finding someone who accepts him the way he his, who is not for his money but with pure love. And Y/N, he knew was the one who he had been searching- (I will need to interrupt my POV )

Next morning, after the incident, Chae-yeon was back at the Jeon's home. She was about to enter it but was stopped at the door by Taehyung "You cannot just go inside, Ms. Lee."

"You do know who I am still insist to interfere my path ?!" barked Chae-yeon. Taehyung looked over to Jungkook who was sitting on the couch doing a rehabilitation exercise but also watching the fight at the door. He glanced at Taehyung to give a nod meaning to let her in. Both of them at door glared at each other before Chae-yeon walked in with a scoff meant for him. She walked over to him and leaned over his shoulder caressing his face. 

"I have returned now. So how about we do the contract again ? I am definitely ready this time. Last time I was just scared. But, now please just give me one chance." 

While Chae-yeon continued with her intended melodrama, someone was getting angry and furious. You. Jeon Y/N. What turned you even more red was Jungkook's expressionless face. No intentions of backing away. No attempts to tell her to stay in her limits. -- Wait a damn minute ! Is this scene familiar ? Remember the evening party ? You, Jungkook and Jeong Woo. You did remember. Is he taking a revenge now because I acted that way ?

"Chae-yeon ! Stay away from him." you spoke up grabbing the attention of both Jungkook and Chae-yeon. Well, you did see how your presence made him smile. You walked up to them and placed a bowl on the table. 

"Here a fruit bowl as you asked for." you said as you sat beside him on the couch.

"You can leave now. I am back. The marriage was between him and me. So, you can go find your way." spat Chae-yeon coldly and rudely.

While Jungkook didn't say a word, he was actually preparing for it. Suddenly, Taehyung out of no where towards the trio and placed a small ceramic saucer on the table, while he secretly winked at Jungkook. The saucer held a small ceramic kettle of the same color in place. It was oblivious that it had warm water or tea, but it's mystery was something else which only Taekook knew. 

As soon as Taehyung left, Jungkook let out a real seemed fake cough. 

"I'll give you some warm water to drink." you said as you were about reach out to the kettle Tae kept earlier. But you were made to sit again or should I just say that you were harshly pulled back to your place by Chae-yeon. (Oh lord I wanna beat her up. I swear to god if this was real I would have burned her. ALIVE.)

"He is my husband now. I'll give water to him now." she reached out to the kettle to pour some water in the glass. But as soon as her skin made contact with the vessel she retreated. It was BURNING HOT. (Yay !! Wish half fulfilled.)  

"It is a lesson for you to learn that you should not take away someone's possessions without hearing the other side say yes. I never say that the marriage could be reversed, so it won't. The signature pallet on the contract paper and the space in my heart is captured by one person. Your sister - " Jungkook had only started speaking when Chae-yeon interrupted.

"She isn't my sister. She is just an illegitimate person bought by my dad." but as soon she said that, she realised that the words shouldn't have actually left her lips. Even though Jungkook was getting angry, he stayed calm and continued. 

"Whatever that is. But it can be re-done." as soon as Jungkook said that Y/N's eyes and Chay-yeon's grin widened. 

"If you can re-fill the container back with spilled water, then marriage reversal can be given a thought." Chae-yeon left the house stomping her feet, frustrated, not at the condition of filling back spilled water, but how uninterested Jungkook sounded to say the words "marriage reversal".

 As soon as Chae-yeon left, you and Jungkook burst into laughter. "That's an impossible condition." "I know." laughed Jungkook.  

Well at home Chae-yeon was actually trying it. 

"What are you doing ?" asked Ji-young when he saw her daughter doing something unusual for any alien on earth. 

"Do you know how to fill back spilled water ?" said Chae-yeon as she spilled the water from a glass, drenched a hand towel with it and squeezed the water back into the glass. 

"Wait until I send you to a mental hospital." said Ji-young shaking his head at his daughter's stupidity while she only looked at him dumbfounded.
