🍭Esme's P.O.V 🍭

We were coming down the hall when I noticed the great glass elevator. I always wanted to ride in the elevator!

"Willy, what's that?" I asked, hoping he would want to take it.

"Oh!" He said "that's my great glass elevator."

He must have seen the way I looked longingly at the elevator. Because he said asked me:

"Would you like to take a ride in it?"

"Yes!" I squeaked softly.

I was so excited! I always wanted to ride it with him! It looked like so much fun!

"I don't know why I didnt think of this earlier, the elevator is by far the most efficant way to get around the factory" Willy pushed the button and the doors opened.

"Ladies first" he said, letting me in first.

I smiled and went inside and looked around at all the buttons.

"There can't be this many floors" said Mike.

"How do you know Mr. Smartypants?" Willy asked him "and this isn't just an ordinary up and down elevator by the way. This elevator can go sideways, longways, slantways and any other ways you can think of! You just push any button and whoosh! You're off!"

The elevator took off quick shoving us to one side, then we hit a stop and drop. I gasped and held on to the thing nearest me. Which--again!-- was Willy!

"Sorry!" I whimpered, chewing my lip.

"It's alright" he said "it is a bit fast. Oh, look! Look! Ladies and gentleman, welcome to fudge mountain.

We looked down at a massive mountain of fudge wot powdered sugar snow raining down on it.

We glided into a room were the oompa loompa's were shearing pink fluffy sheep.

"Oh!" Said Willy then he frowned and said "I'd rather not talk about this one!"

Willy sold the best cotton candy in the world, but no one knew it came from sheep!

We came to another room and my eyes widened. The puppets that sang Willy's welcome song were charred and burnt.

"This is the puppet hospital and burn center" Willy explained "it's relatively new..."

We came to another stop and dropped down into the office.

"Ah! The administration's office!" Said Willy.

We stopped in front of a secretary's desk. "Hello Doris!" Willy greeted her.

She gave a small wave.

Then we went backwards and ripped down into the exploding candy room.  I stared at them in awe, they looked like fireworks!

"Why is everything here completely pointless?" Asked Mike rudely.

"Candy doesn't have to have a point, that's why it's candy" said Charlie.

"Exactly!" I agreed "can't you just relax and enjoy the beauty of everything?"

"It's not beautiful, it's stupid!" Mike said "candy is a waste of time!"

"It is not! Sitting on your butt watching television all day, that's a waste of time!" I said "Right Willy? Willy?"

I looked over and saw he was going through another flashback. What was bringing up all these flashbacks?

We stared at the fireworks for a little while longer, then Mike said:

"I wanna pick a room!"

Willy smiled "go ahead."

Mike looked around at the button and finally pushed the button labeled: The television room.
