VI
"Morning," I greeted as I pushed the door open, a sports bag over my shoulder as well as a suitcase rolling behind me.
"You're really moving in, huh?" Archer asked, not looking up from his cereal.
"Yep. Fury's orders. Have you seen Iron balls?" I questioned.
"Down in the lab," Archer added, still not paying attention.
"Tony? You here?" I asked loudly into the seemingly empty laboratory.
"Arabella?"
Tony's head stuck up from beneath a table.
"What are you doing down there?" I asked with a small laugh, walking over before crouching down to his level.
"I dropped a screw," he muttered, looking around the floor.
I grabbed the tiny piece of shiny metal.
"This screw?"
"I knew I was gonna love having you here," he joked as he took the screw from my hand and crawled out.
"Speaking of, are you settled in yet?" he asked, putting the screw into a small hole on the device on the desk.
"I just got here."
"Have you seen your room yet?"
I shook my head.
"I'll show you," he offered, standing up from the chair.
"Hallway," Tony explained as we entered the apartment again. He'd insisted on me getting 'the full experience', and was acting like I'd never seen the place before.
The hallway did impress me, even after I'd seen it before. The size was brilliant, the simple yet stylish interior classy and the bright - but not annoying - lights gave it the perfect floor. We continued to the living room, as he explained it was.
Two big couches was in the middle, facing a huge tv. On the right side of the couches, the wall practically consisted of nothing but windows.
On the left side of the couches, a huge kitchen was - which I found amusing, since I knew how often they ordered pizza.
We went down a second hallway, if it could even be called that. I wouldn't consider something of that size a 'hallway'.
"So, I'm staying in the master bedroom down there," Tony explained, pointing backwards with his thumb; "This'll be your area." He pointed at the black door.
I grabbed the door handle, slowly turning it and pushing the door up.
"Do you like it?" Tony tried prodding me, provoking my reaction.
"It's nice," I stated.
The huge windows I'd seen from the living room continued on one of the walls in this room (my room).
Everything I could possibly need was in there. Queen size bed with the heading against the wall. Small dining table, huge tv, a bookshelf... And two more doors.
"What's behind those?" I asked curiously, pointing at the two.
"Go ahead and take a look," Tony dared smugly.
I opened the first one to see a huge, but empty, closet.
"It's a walk in closet!" Tony urged from behind me.
"It certainly is," I agreed chillfully.
"Fine. The other door," Tony tried instead, seeming displeased with my relaxed reaction.
I left the closet and instead opened the other door to see a hugh bathroom, complete with tub facing against the windows.
"Don't people usually avoid windows in bathrooms?" I asked curiously, stepping closer to see the view.
"You can only see out, from outside they just look black," agony informed before Addison; "We're too tall for anyone to see in anyway, though."
"Guess that makes sense," I agreed; "it's nice."
"Nice? That's all you have to say?" Tony said shocked as he followed me back to my room, closing the bathroom door behind him.
"What do you want me to say?" I asked as I sat down on the memory foam bed.
"I don't know! You could have a reaction at least," Tony tried.
"I did, I said 'it's nice!'."
"You said 'it's nice', not 'it's nice!'" Tony corrected me.
"Why is this such a big deal to you?" I asked instead.
"Because - you're a pizza delivery girl!"
"Yes?"
"Where you lived before can't have been this nice! I was just expecting a bigger reaction," he admitted.
"Ah, no, I lived in a tiny apartment downtown," I agreed; "nowhere as nice as this."
"Whatever. Come say hi to the team," Tony decided, pulling me with him back to the elevator.
"Jarvis, common floor," he ordered before turning to me; "I don't get it. Where did you grow up then?"
I thought back to the marble bathtubs, the columns, the feasting room, the ballroom. My home.
"Just a house," I shrugged it off right before the elevator doors opened.
"Where?"
"Greece," I admitted.
"Really? Your English is really good," Tony complimented.
"Why wouldn't it be?"
"I just - I mean - not that - just because-""I get it," I interrupted with a laugh; "I'm just messing with you."
"Oh." Tony laughed awkwardly.
"Anyway, this is the common floor?" I asked as we entered directly into yet another huge room.
"Yep. Living area, dining area, kitchen," Tony listed as he pointed to the couches, the big dining table and then over the kitchen counter where the actual kitchen was.
"So, Greece you say?" He continued our conversation.
"Yep," I said, popping the p as I let myself fall down in the couch.
So soooft.
"Where in Greece?" He asked suspiciously.
"By a hill," I claimed.
"A hill?"
"....A big hill," I pipped.
A mountain is basically just a big hill, right?
"Near Litochoro," I said, feeling pretty great about actually telling the truth.
"Hey," greeted Captain America as he entered the room with shorter slightly curly haired guy behind him.
"What are you two up to?" The other guy asked.
"We're just getting to know Arabella here," Tony sighed, sitting down himself.
"I guess we don't really know a lot about you," the small curly haired guy said.
"Introductions!" Tony exclaimed.
"What?"
"Introductions!" he repeated; "Jarvis, tell everybody we're doing introductions tonight!"
Introductions at the Stark tower was more than just introductions, which explained why we'd had to wait.
Because Tony wasn't allowed to drink at daytime for his girlfriend, Pepper.
"Okay, okay, my turn," Tony decided, pulling over a flash before pouring the empty glasses full once again.
"It was just your turn," Natasha stated calmly, not having had nearly as much to drink as Tony.
"Never have I ever had sex in a bathroom," he said, ignoring Natasha before downing his own shot.
"That's against the rules," Clint mentioned before drinking himself; "You can't pick something you've done."
Besides them, only Natasha and I drank.
"Okay, stories: Shower," Tony said quickly.
"Same here," Clint admitted, filling our glasses.
"Against the sink." I looked surprised at Natasha, but said nothing.
Tony turned to me.
"Your story?"
"I've lived a long life, kids," I decided; "Some things are bound to happen."
"And having sex in the bathroom is one of those things?" Clint asked with a laugh.
"Don't call us kids!" Tony cried; "You're younger than us."
"Definitely not," I muttered, shifting in my seat.
"How old are you?" Captain asked curiously.
"I - I'm... Not that old," I decided awkwardly.
Quick, do the maths, I ordered myself.
"17."
In human years.
"Then you're a kid! Why are you even having sex?" Tony complained, his voice slightly slurred.
I did nothing but smile as the group laughed. They were a nice gathering. Easily affected by alcohol, but nice.
