II

"Hi Brian," I greeted as I made my way through the glass doors the next day.
"Mrs pizza delivery person!" Brian, as I remembered his name from the previous day, greeted back
"They eat a lot of pizza, huh?" I mentioned as I placed the boxes on the counter to pull out the receipt from my pocket.
"Mhm. Damn, that smells good," he commented after taking a deep breath.
"You hungry?" I asked as I found the receipt.
"Mhm. Hadn't had a break since 11," he told me.
"Ouch," I uttered. I pulled out the chicken wrap I'd planned on having for dinner.
"Take this," I offered, handing it to him.
"W-won't you need it?" He questioned carefully. I shrugged.
"They accidentally made one too many. It's just going to be thrown out if you don't eat it," I lied, sending him an assuring smile.
"Pizza girl!" I rolled my eyes as I turned around to see Arrow.
"Guy who takes pizza without paying," I replied.
"Come on, we made up for that," he cried out as he stopped up next to me.
"Hardly. Devine Pizzas got three complaints about me being late because you took up all my time," I informed.
"Huh," he said, clearly not listening; "lemme take these off your hands."
"Thank you," I muttered as he took the boxes.
"Well... see you!"
"What?! Archer, come back here!" I cried as he entered the elevator.
"Where's my money?" I tried.
"Oh. We'll pay you double next time!" He promised.
"That's not how it... works," I muttered, even though the doors had already closed.
"Can I go after him?" I asked Brian. He looked doubtful.
"Please?"
"Fine, but you won't be able to catch up with him on the stairs," he replied.
"I'm gonna give it a go," I decided, sending him a quick smile before taking the first few steps up the stairs.

"I have no moneyyy," I sang quietly as I walked down the hallway; "and my boss is complainiiiing, because I'm always laaaate, ooooof dis not good."
"That does not rhyme even a little," a voice commented from behind. I turned around to see the dark haired, relatively quiet guy with glasses from the day before.
"Poetry isn't about rhyming, it's about speaking through your heart," i lectured.
"They ordered pizza again?" He questioned, walking next to me.
"Uhuh."
"They didn't pay you?"
"Nuh uh."
He brought his hands to his pockets, quickly feeling for a wallet.
"I'm sorry, I have nothing on me. I can let you in though, then you can get your money," he offered with a small smile.
"You're a hero," I stated with relief.
"So people say," he muttered, unlocking the door and gently pushing it open.
I went ahead and walked through, walking down the hallway as I had the day before, ending in what looked like an open area. A living room, maybe.
"You better tell me what you're doing here and how you got in," a deep voice threatened from behind as I felt someone push a sharp object against my neck.
"You guys are really tricky delivering pizza to," I complained with an eye roll.
"Heeeey, pizza girl!" Tony greeted happily as he entered; "Wait, where's the pizzas?"
"There's a person being threatened in your - What is this, a living room? - and you're worried about the pizzas," I complain. Tony looked at me blankly, making me roll my eyes again.
"Archer took them."
"Cliiiiiint," Tony yelled loudly, walking through a door I had no idea where went.
"Are you gonna let me go?" I questioned the person behind me.
Slowly the sharp object was removed, and I turned around to see...
"Hey red," I greeted.
"How did you get in?" She asked, crossing her arms above her chest.
"I scaled the 93 stories building to get through the no doubt bulletproof windows," I answered.
She looked at me unimpressed.
"I went through the door."
"Why?"
"Because you guys are really bad at paying!" I complained loudly; "what do I have to do for a few pennies? Strip?"
"Not a bad idea," Tony commented as he entered the room again, his mouth full of pizza.
"I think I have some cash, how much is it?" He asked, flipping through a wallet.
"If I say 300 would you give me that?" I joked.
"Probably," he admitted with a shrug.
"Well then it's 500."
"One too far, kid. Here's 150," he said, handing me the money.
"You're here again?" The guy who let me in questioned kindly as he, too, entered the room.
"Here still," I corrected; "and you shouldn't be so surprised, I'm pretty much becoming inventory here."
"We should get you a key," he agreed with a small smile.
"Anyway, I'm gonna try avoid being late and head back to work," I explained.
"Bye pizza girl!" Tony said, waving cheerfully.
