JUDGES

You do not need any previous experience to be a judge. You can be a complete newbie and I will still accept you. But I am looking for judges who are willing to be critical and a hardmarker. Don't give the participants easy marks.

We're aiming for 3-4 judges for genres.

Make sure to check the timeline (this First Cycle will run from March - June) before applying to be a judge. This was a huge problem last year and this year for the Hidden Gems Awards. We've gone through multiple Missing Judges Crisis. A lot of judges backed out at the last minute or disappeared because they were too busy. You need to be able to be on Wattpad during the times judging is happening and respond to my messages ASAP.

We would like to have initiative people on our team. If something comes up, PM me. It'll be alright if you are unable to continue judging and something important has come up. I'm willing to give extension. But, you have to tell me.

For the first round, each judge will be assign given from 8-10 books to read. For the Second Round, usually that number will dwindle down to 5-7 or lower. Regardless, you'll be giving a 14- to 20- days of judging. Please ensure to prioritize your schedule and finish what is needed. You will need to take note as you judge, which should not be a big surprise, and you're required to write a short comment at the end, accompanying by the scores.

Do not accept any bribery from participants. If any of them try to bribe, threaten, or blackmail you, PM me.

You can not be a judge if you are a participant.
