Hello, aspiring writers! I'm Kayla Glass_Sword, the founder of Hidden Gems Awards. I first created these awards in order to help amazing, undiscovered writers such as yourselves get the recognition you guys deserve. Wattpad is a huge platform and unfortunately, many phenomenal writers don't get noticed. Through these awards, I've been fortunate enough to meet remarkable writers with a real talent with words. I know I was unfortunately unable to be very present in the 2018 HGA, but I am hoping to work with more of you guys in the 2019 HGA!

I believe it's important to remind you all to keep writing. I know from personal experience that during tough times, it's difficult to continue doing what you love and for many of you guys, the thing you love is writing. In the past two years, I've seen so many amazing stories written masterfully from you guys! Please, continue writing and sharing your talent with people and inspiring others! As a writer, that is the ultimate goal: to make an impact on a reader's life. I know each and every one of you have the potential to do so, and some of you already have!
