Alice awoke to Fred stirring on her lap. Still sleepy she stretched and massaged her neck. Leaning against the wall had not done it any good.
She yawned and looked to Fred, "Morning."
"Morning to you too," he said and sat up.
"Do you feel better now?"
"Yes it was definitely more comfortable to sleep in a bed than to sleep on the floor", grinned Fred at her.
"Should we get downstairs or should we wake George? I think he had more than enough sleep."
"I agree. Let's wake him," a devious smile formed across his face as he jumped onto his brother's bed.
George let out a startled cry and fell out of his bed. Muttering a horde of obscenities he shot a death glare at his brother. Alice started laughing hard and held her stomach. The scene was too much for her. George looked at her and then started laughing too while throwing a pillow in Fred's face. Fred threw the pillow back at him but missed and got Alice. Surprised by this she got hit directly in her face. A pillow fight broke out until the three of them lay laughing loudly on the floor.
Molly Weasley heard the commotion from downstairs and shook her head about it.
"Kids," she mumbled and went upstairs.
Knocking on the door of the twins' room she said, "If you're awake then come downstairs and help setting the table for breakfast instead of causing a huge commotion and waking everyone up!"
A muffled 'okay' came as an answer from inside which seemed to satisfy her as she made her way back downstairs again. Five minutes later the twins and Alice followed still laughing among themselves until Molly glared at them and they fell silent. Gradually the rest of the family joined them, Ginny and Alyssa being the last ones. Alice had never seen so much food in all her life and that on one plate. Ally had told her about the feasts at Hogwarts and this might come close to them, she thought. Everything tasted very good but she felt really full after the breakfast had ended. Alice sighed and leaned back in her chair.
"I think I've never eaten so much for breakfast in my whole life," she said.
Alyssa laughed at her while clutching her own stomach. Just in this moment
Mr Weasley came home after an exhausting night of work but plastered on his face was a wide smile. "Family I have something to tell you!"
The red haired Weasley's watched as their father sat down and got out a newspaper and a letter.
"Molly, dear, you remember when we joined the Daily Prophet Grand Prize Galleon Draw? Well, we won!" he finished excitedly.
The house was silent then Mrs Weasley broke into tears and ran to her husband hugging him tightly.
äOh this is fantastic Arthur! What should we do what should we do...? Oh I know! Let's visit Bill in Egypt!" she cried still clinging onto Mr Weasley.
Mr and Mrs Weasley started discussing their trip to Egypt and it was soon decided that they would go there for a month and come back one week before the new school term started.
Fred and George took Alice to the garden to degnome it which was really funny as Alice was not good in throwing the gnomes at all and Fred and George laughed at her the whole time. After about an hour they stopped, exhausted from all the work and the laughing. Fred's gaze fell on Alice who brushed her hair out of her face.
"I guess we can't spend the whole summer together then," he said.
Alice looked at him, "Well yeah, but you'll be going to Egypt which is much more interesting I think."
"Maybe, but we wanted to discuss more about the shop idea with you," said George.
"Oh we have plenty of time for that. And maybe you find something useful in Egypt, you don't know."
The twins were still looking gloomily at her which was why she started to make funny faces at them.
"What are you doing?" asked Fred while trying to contain his laughter.
"I'm making faces. You were becoming pretty gloomy and it's much more fun when you laugh," she said, proud of her achievement.
Fred smiled at her, "You're right. Sorry."
"Oh don't apologize. You and George were just too excited about our idea so it's just normal do be a bit down."
George watched her while she spoke. She tangled her fingers in her hair and her gaze was pointed at the ground.
"You don't need to cheer us up," he said, "You're the one who'll be left here and that when we promised to have a fun summer."
"Oh don't worry about me," Alice said quickly and looked at them.
She held her hands up in a protecting kind of way. "I'll be fine, really," she said.
"If you say so," said Fred and snaked his arm around her shoulder.
"But we'll write you. Maybe we'll even bring you a souvenir," grinned George and copied his brother's actions. Alice smiled and nodded.
"Okay," she said.
Fred and George looked at each other. "Now we still have time until we have to go, so we should use this time to our fullest and come up with more ideas," they said in unison.
Alice laughed. She really liked spending time with them because they did always something funny and made her laugh. She had not laughed so much in a long time, not that she did not laugh at all but so much in a short amount of time was new to her. It was in that moment that she realized that she would probably become best friends with the boys and she really liked the feeling of it.
For the rest of the day the three were sitting outside and writing down ideas. The Weasley's would be leaving the next day so when Fred and George brought her and Alyssa home, Alice hugged them tightly and wished them fun in Egypt. She made them promise to write her and promised them herself to write them when she came up with ideas for the shop. This night she slept very deeply and her dreams were full of laughter and flying gnomes.
