You are having dinner with your sister, mum and dad but you are distracted by your thoughts.

"pa (Y/N) is thinking about the Jaegers again," your sister remarks bringing you back to reality

"Hey Jess I wasn't" you retort

"you sure?"

"I've never been so sure in my life" You reply sarcastically

"any way you wouldn't be able to pilot the Jaegers," your dad states bluntly

"Why?" you ask even though you know the answer already

"because you need a partner to drift with,"

"and how do you know that?" you ask again, you put some food in your mouth

"I was the chief engineer for the Jagermeister," he replies with a slight grin.

"Hey pa I was thinking maybe I could go for a walk on the beach," Jess speaks up

"Make sure your sister goes with you," your mum replies. Two minutes later your sister has run ahead and you are deep in thought again. This time you are thinking about who you would want to drift with.

"Hey sis can you come here? I found something," Jess shouts back snapping you out of your thoughts again.

"Ok," you reply as you run to catch up to her. Ten seconds later you have made it to your sister who is crouched down by something.

"It looks like pieces of a ship," Jess remarks

"I don't think so," you say as you brush off some sand which reveals human-shaped armour

"well I think I should help," your sister utters as she starts digging. Thirty seconds later you notice some blood.

"Sis can you go back and tell dad to get the medical supplies ready," you say as you dig the rest if the sand away to reveal a badly injured person.

"sure," she replies as she runs off in the direction they came from. You check his pulse. It's weak but it's there. You carefully place him over your shoulders but you struggle

"Oh come on," you utter but you manage to get him comfortably on your shoulders. Three minutes later you are back at the house.

"Dad I need some help," you call out

"take him to the kitchen," your dad replies. A minute later you have placed the man on the kitchen counter and your dad helps you take his armour off

"Dad can you get the medical kit please?" you ask as you get the final piece off

An hour later you've tended to the man's wounds. You check his dog tags out of curiosity.

"I wish we could've met under different circumstances Yancy," you utter. Yancy starts to Thrash around but you don't worry because he is uttering about something.

"Raleigh," Yancy calls out as he wakes with a start

"Where am I? How did I get here? Where is my brother," Yancy tries to get up but he is overcome by the pain his wounds are causing

"Germany, I don't know and I only found you," you reply to his barrage of questions.

"Can I get you anything to eat or drink?"

"Water," Yancy replies. Two minutes later you are about to enter the room but you are stopped by the sound of your sister's voice

"So you come from a different place?" Your sister asks

"Yes, I come from the US," he confirms. You enter the room and pass him the water bottle.

"Thank you," Yancy takes the bottle but his hands are trembling. He takes a massive gulp. He finishes so you take the bottle from him. You place it on the bedside table. You can see that he is tired.

"Jess I think we should leave him to rest," you remark. Your sister looks at you and she leaves.
