Rose POV

I need to hurry up. I have to make sure that Aunt and Lucy are alright. I reached her doorstep and knocked. To my relief Aunt opened the door. "My child, come in fast. Lucy is not well. " She dragged me in. Lucy was sitting on the sofa and groaning while eating ice cream. She winked seeing me. I rolled my eyes.

"Aunt ! From which angle do you think that she is unwell? And top of all you gave her my ice cream. " I whinned glaring at Lucy who was shamelessly licking her lips and ice cream off the bowl. "Oh don't say like that. She was having a headache and groaned like she was going to die and said all could save her was ice cream. Poor girl. " Aunt placed her hand over her heart and sighed.

I rolled my eyes again and Aunt glared at me.

This girl. She got the chance and took it.

I shook my head and sat on the sofa. I was relieved to see them safe. "Tell us what happened?" Lucy asked, excitedly. Aunt Sue brought me a bowl of vanilla ice cream with butterscotch syrup. I squealed in delight and kissed her cheek. She sat beside me and I started my story.

Of course it was a story. I was not going to say them the truth. "You won't believe that... " I began.

Back at the Avengers Tower

Natasha POV

I liked Rose. I badly wish to have her in the team. She's talented and a good fighter. With a bit of proper training and guidance, I bet she'll grow more powerful and confident. Only if she was willing to join us...

I was thinking about her when I saw Cap absently pouring sugar on the table instead of jar. "Hey Steve, who caught your mind , huh?" I whacked his back. He nearly jumped in shock and then realised what he was doing. "Oh sorry! I-I was just not paying attention. I-" "Whom were you thinking about? " I cut off his blabbering.

"Rose." He immediately answered without thinking and blushed a little. I smirked making him unbalance. "H-hey it's not like that. I mean she is so powerful. She could have been a great help to us. And how messed up her life is..." He sighed and I patted his arm comfortingly.

"Hey Capsicle! Nat! I think I can do something." Tony joined us with that smug look. "Do about what? "Steve asked. "About Rose. I have a plan to make her agree." He grinned.

I smiled and Cap chuckled. Oh yeah. This man is perfect for these tasks.

Rose POV

They enjoyed my story and Lucy whined for not getting a chance to meet the Avengers. I was deadly tired. The day was very busy and tiring indeed. I feel exhausted after using so much power today. I ate my dinner and collapsed on bed. One thing kept going round and round in my mind - 'should I have said yes to the offer' before drifting off to dreamless sleep.
