8: Rageful

A/N: This is the last Canon chapter then into the real fiction! I hope you enjoyed these chapters, I said and rewatched the entire Acolyte seaoms when I wrote these and study the characters and movements. I would even pause scenes to be like this is where you/they/me would be standing. I wanted to keep the story the same for the most part but add a character and give them little things here and there without changing the story too much.
Anyways, ENJOY!

I wander aimlessly lost around the fortress, both searching and trying to remain hidden. A tedious game of hide and seek where I am both the seeker and the hidden.

A burnt part of the stone wall sticks out to me and I place my hand along the cold stone, following the path of ceased destruction. It leads to a doorway that's black as a calm, deep sea at night, both a frightening mystery, yet pulling you to look closer. Studying the door, it's easy to tell this is where the fire started, but how?

"This was our room." Mae's sudden voice scares me and I clutch my chest, hand steady on my saber attached to my hip. I step inside, looking at the charred stone. "I started the fire." I turn to look at her, but she stares out the windows across the room. "Osha wanted to leave with the Jedi, I just wanted the Jedi to leave us alone... I thought stopping her from leaving would solve everything... I couldn't see the bigger picture."

"I'm sorry."

She turns to face me and I can see the saddness in her eyes. "Did the Jedi take you from your home? Before you lived on Coruscant."

"I... Yes... I assume... I don't know my parents even."

She nods slowly, looking down to her feet. A slow pair of footsteps approach and I turn ready to disarm.

"Osha." I can hear the happiness is Mae's voice. Osha takes off her hood. I glance back to Mae, knowing they need a moment and give a silent nod and receive a small smile of gratitude in return.

I pass Osha, giving her a silent nod as well, then step out the room and hear a faint voice begin talking, but don't pay attention to their conversation. Granting them some privacy.

I continue through a hallway and hear lightsabers crashing together and modified grunts... Qimir

Of course they're fighting , I groan mentally to myself and take off running, exiting through a hole in the wall that's letting in sunlight and sound.

The men stop, pulling back from each other, and looking up to the sky. I sense it too and quickly look.

Stay hidden. I hear his modified voice say inside my mind and I duck behind some collapsed stone pillars.

"Now you pay for what you've done." Sol says.

"Oh they're not here for me." Qimir replies and I can hear the smirk in his stupid modified voice.

The sabers go back to crashing, each blade making it's own sound as it clashes, swings, or stabs. I've never heard such rapid, uncoordinated, yet fluid motions.

A true battle, no routine, no lesson to follow, pure instincts... life and death... or at the very least sweaty with minor injuries.

A sudden screeching pulls me from the orchestrational wonder I listened to.

Curiosity peeking so high, I steal a glance.

The site is hard to see, but I can make out the lightsabers sparking pellets into his mask. My nerves are slightly unsettled, but the mask is unphased by the heat sparks.

Qimir suddenly looks up and I don't have to read his mind to know. He's going to use the helmet to deactivate Sol's lightsaber.

Bringing his head down, I know this is going to be Sol's downfall... Sol deactivates his lightsaber, pulling Qimir down, as he retreats.

He missed... dank farrik!

Sol takes the chance, catching Qimir off guard, and I gasp aloud not caring if I'm seen anymore.

The lightsabers don't clash like normal... actually at all... Only Sol's remains ignited.

Qimir brings his hilt up revealing the sliced off emitter and throws it down in defeat. Qimir takes off his mask and drops it alongside his saber knowing he's been bested. Turning to face Sol who has his weapon drawn and pointed at his neck.

I stand, hand on my hilt, slowly pulling it from my belt. Qimir's eyes fall on me and I can see the hardness shift into...

Sol is shoved and a blur of white sweeps around him, then a set of melee attacks from Mae follows.

Qimir takes a couple steps back, leaving room for their fight to play out.

I round the fight towards him, wasting no time. I open my mouth, but no words come out. He briefly eyes me and I see a hint of amusement in his eyes for a fracture of a second, quickly replaced by years apart and building a wall. He looks back to Mae who has disarmed Sol and stands heavily breathing. "Good, Mae." He praises her with his rich voice.

I sheepishly swallow my feelings threatening to boil up my throat and out my mouth. If I had drawn my saber maybe I would be receiving his praise.

"Feel your anger." His voice darkens, as he steps towards her, leaving my side. Sol looks at me, as if wondering what the Wild Card will do. "This is the source of your pain." Mae throws Sol's lightsaber away from everyone, near an opening of the fortress. "Strike him down and your journey will be complete."

I look to Mae who shifts from facing Sol to Qimir and lightly shakes her head. "No... I want him to confess what he did. I want him to face the high council. The Senate. The Republic. I want him to pay for his crimes."

"I did the right thing." Sol replies and steps towards her. "I wanted to protect you both."

"From what?"

"You are not twins." Sol stalks towards her. "You and Osha are the same person... I don't know how your mother did it. But it has something to do with a vergence on this planet." He motions to the ground surrounding them.

"How she did what?" Mae questions, sounding more open to talking to Sol now than on the ship previously.

"She created life. Your lives. I believe she used the force to create you and Osha."

I notice Qimir tilt his head down and his eyes wander among the ground as if putting puzzle pieces into place.

"Do you have any idea what kind of power that is? In the history of the Galaxy, very few have been that powerful."

There's a pause as Mae nods. "And you killed her." It's not a question, it's a statement. "You killed our mother."

"I..." Sol shakes his head lost for words. He sighs, defeated. "Yes." A soft sob comes out of him. The truth finally setting him free. "I did."

Mae's mouth opens agap and she looks past everyone and I follow where she looks.

Osha steps out into the opening where Mae had thrown the saber, exiting from the shadows. "Is that true?"

Sol turns in shock, surprised his confession has reached her from his own mouth. "I was protecting you." Even with the victims of his crime facing him, he still defends himself, defends his actions. As if the Jedi can do no wrong. "It was the right thing to do."

"If it was the right thing to do then why didn't you tell the Jedi?" Osha blinks back the shock, but I can feel her aura swirling, darkness forming.

Sol lifts an arm towards Mae. "Without Mae, there was no proof you were created in this way."

Osha nods , slightly understanding. "Why didn't you tell me?" She begins to cry.

"They would have sent you away... You were too old to train." He begins crossing to her. "They never would have let you become a Jedi... I did what I thought was best for you." Osha begins stepping closer to him. "Of course I wanted to tell you. So many times, but I couldn't."

"Stop talking." I notice Osha gripping Sol's lightsaber in her hand.

I step forward, putting a hand on Qimir's exposed forearm and he quickly looks down to the touch. I keep one hand on him and one of my saber, prepared to defend him if I must.

I may be a Wild Card, but I have one true loyalty and it's no one else, but him... does he even know it

"I kept this from you, so you could have the life you'd always dreamed of. I did everything because I lo-" He chokes, the last word being sucked out the mouth before he can form it. He chokes trying again to speak.

I feel the darkness building around Osha, consuming her. Fear builds in Sol's eyes and the realization of what's happening sets in. I grip Qimir tighter and feel his muscles tense. Sol grabs at his throat, falling to his knees before Osha. She slowly raises her hand, twitching as she wills the force to obey her. "Stop talking."

Mae, Qimir, and I stand there, not helplessly, but curious if she will actually kill him... her old master.

Nothing can be heard except the vial sounds escaping Sol as Osha's darkness consumes her. "Osha." He manages to say. "It's okay." Her body shakes along with his, but for different reasons. Him with the life leaving his body and her with the rage of what he has stolen from her... at least I assume from all the rage radiating off her aura and the things I have learned.

Sol groans out as Osha's hand closes... the last bit of life leaving his body as he collapses.

Osha gasps loudly and sinks to her knees, her aura vanishing. She sobs and stares down at the ground between her and his body. Her body still shaking with emotion.

Qimir puts a hand over mine, then slips away like silk fabric. He walks to her, but she springs to life coming out of her daze and ignites Sol's lightsaber.

The ignition sound sparks my body to life before I even realize what I've done.

I stand guarding Qimir with my whole body and the blade turning from blue to red at my neck.

Osha withdraws the saber, studying the blade bleeding before our eyes until it's fully red. Her eyes turn up to meet mine. Suddenly I feel a cold presence on my waist and instincts kick in, grabbing Qimir's arm as he goes to put his helmet on.  I hadn't even realized he was holding my waist, I had been so focused... which is good, but I silently wished I had actively felt the heat from his hand.

Our eyes lock, "I have to go." He states, but I see him swallow hard.

"Take me with you."

He blinks and furrows his brows. "What?"

"You said you'd never leave my side." I try to harden my voice, so I don't sound like I'm going to cry.

"Y/N, we were younger, things were different," his voice softens and he steps closer to talk more intimately with me, "we were different."

I nod softly, "so what's your plan then?" I tilt my head. "Return to the shadows?" He puts his mask on. "Either you take me with you or I hunt you down."

"Is that a threat?" The modification sounds.

"The moment you came to me on Khofar was the moment I chose you over everything." My voice giving way to my emotions more than I'd like in the moment.

He sighs. "I only have room for me plus one on my ship."

"I won't go with you." Mae speaks up and we turn towards her.

"Neither will I." Osha moves into a battle stance, saber still humming with life.

Qimir heavily sighs. "I'll have to erase myself and you from your minds." He tells them.

"Do it." The girls say in unison. Osha deactivates the saber, shifting the mood from threatening to helping each other. Similar to Mae and I's unspoken alliance.

"We can make it back to the ship and disable the tracker." Mae suggests.

"I can fix whatever damages, I was a meknek." Osha points out.

"Let them go and I will go with you." I face Qimir once more.

He looks to me, slightly towering over me and his stupid mask concealing his eyes. "You can't give me what I want."

"Try me." I raise my chin in defiance.

"If you choose this path, you won't get the same mercy or luck as them." He tilts his head.

"I didn't ask for it, now did I?" My anger begins to turn to rage.

The thin black lines of his mask, where his eyes should be stare daggers into me. "You've changed."

"Yes, now clear their minds and let's go... There's much to discuss."

A/N: Hi! I met Manny Jacinto! I'm beyond happy, beyond Cloud 9, this is The Good Place!
