Chapter 4: rescued

"W-what," coumfrayc stuttered as he look down at the small girl
in front of him,

"what happened?" he demanded

"don't know I found him bleeding in the snow," Isabel replied, coumfrayc sigh shakily

"were?"

"in the square, afew roads from the cafe," she said still out of breath

"Isabel, go to the cafe and get the boys tell them what happened, tell them to come quick!" he said beginning to run. He didn't here her reply, coumfrayc ran and ran until he reached the square, he looked around franticly for a sigh to show were his little 'brother' was. To his horror he found the red streaks leading to the ally. He ran in and saw a site he never thought he would get over, Gavroche, his little Gavroche tossed into the snow like filth. He was covered in whip last marks and bruises, his dirty blond hair had stained red tips. Gav was missing his shirt and was turning a pale blue at an alarming rate,

"Gav? Gavroche can you here me?"

Coumfrayc slowly moved the little boys body into his lap and wrapped him in his coat. He clung to the boy and craddled him until he heard gasps behind him. Enjoiras ran over like lighting and kelt down and brushed a strad of hair from the blondes face,
"Coumf' what happened?"
"I don't know," he said, tears of shock and horror ran down his face, suddenly there was a quit groan from the youngest of the group, Gavroche's sky blue eyes opened glazed over by pain, he was trembling like a leaf, very slowly he turned his head and tried to take in his surroundings,
"Hey gav, it's ok I'm here we're gunna help you ok?"
The little boy shivered again and looked up at him in a slight confusion as he was trying to determine who was talking to him, when he realised his eyes grew big and tears flowed down his face,
"Cou-mf'....." his little voice cracked due to pain and the overuse.
"Yeah gavvy, it's me and Enjolras...,"
Enjolras grabbed his hand,
"We are going to get you help ok?" he said, Gavroche nodded his head weakly as Coumfrayc lifted the little pup into his arms,
"Joly is waiting back at the cafe and Combeferre has gone to get medical supplies, Coumfrayc nodded and lowered his head down onto Gavroche's chest and was horrified to discover how little it was moving,
"Let's go, we have to hurry or Gavroche won't make it," he said quietly, Enjolras nodded and they both rushed off to save their brave little pup.
