We reappear in the midst of trees. Where ever we are, it's somewhere far away. I hear the whisper of leaves in the wind. This place seems tainted.I remember this place. Immediately I'm haunted with old memories. Good...then bad. A tear slides down my face. This is where I first met Jace... and where I tried to kill him. It was after I found out what he really is... a demon. My parents didn't know, but when they found out he killed them then blamed it on a lower monster. When I discovered the truth I tried to kill him. It's my job. To avenge my parents. and kill monsters. I almost succeeded. I see the scar on his neck. I couldn't kill him. I had the chance, but I'm too weak. I could never kill him.

"Take me away from here. I don't like it."

"What, does trying to kill me bother you?" Jace says in a strained voice. Then he chuckles. I don't think he ment to come here. Then we're gone. Suddenly we're in a sunflower field. It's untouched. Bees are everywhere. This is the kind of place I would have wanted to make new memories...if I could leave my past behind. But I can't. Even if I stayed here 'it' would follow me. And destroy this place. I stand unmoving. Jace lets go of my hand and walks into the field. He turns around to look at me and smiles. It takes my breath away. I follow him without a thought. Then we walk. In a clearing he stops. He looks at me with a mischievous grin. Then he holds out both of his hands. I take them. Then he leads me in a silent dance to a tune only we know. I start humming out of habit. This is how it used to be. I can't help smiling. We stay like that for a while. Then something changes. The wind no longer feels light. Now it feels wrong. First I hear them. Then feel them. I stop humming and drop my hands. I slowly glance behind me. And there they are. The one monster that a hunter can't kill. They play with fate. They're the reason me and Jace ever met. It wasn't suppose to happen. And we definitely weren't suppose to fall in love. I start backing up. They ruined this place now. Something's going to happen. They're the ruined. And the fault in are stars. Also called the "Hidden". And now its to late to run. Because Jace is gone.
