Andrew's Pov 

Yesterday Crystal wasn't at school, I asked Lillian and she said that she was sick or something. I don't think Crystal would be someone who would skip school. I've made some friends over the past day, but class yesterday felt weird when crystal is gone. I'm the only other super smart kid.

Crystal's POv

I get back to school making sure the bruise on my face is covered by the amount of foundation I put on my face to hide it. My father beat me senseless on Wednesday when he got home drunk. I wasn't up going to school the next day so I called in sick. I see Lillian at my locker, "Cryst, you're back!" she hugs me. I wince in pain but only a little. 

"yeah i'm back wasn't feeling great so I just stayed home." I lied. I hate lying to my best friend, but if she knew about my father, the police would be called, he would lie and I would still be living with him cause he's good at lying, and he would beat me more than he does now. 

Me and Lillian talk for a bit before we head to class. lets just hope nothing happens..

--Third hour--

Science... My least favorite subject. Well at least Lillian is in this class.  We always sit next to each other. I walk into the class room and see Lillian is sitting with Stella, The captain of the cheer squad. I walk up to them. "Lil's I thought you and I always sit together?" I asked her. 

"We do its just Mr. Bryant has a seating arrangement now," she said. What! This cant be happening. Lillian and I do everything together, even at school. I walk up to the teacher, to ask him about the seating. 

" Um. Mr. Bryant, Lillian just told me you have a seating arrangement," I asked the teacher. 

"Yes Miss Myers, You are sitting next to Mr. Dawn," he said then turning back to the white Board. First im not sitting with Lilli and now I have to sit with my art project partner. Could this day get any worse?

Andrew's POV

I look up to see Crystal coming up to my table. Wait is that who is sitting with me. I thought Mr. Bryant would put Lillian and Crystal together, Lillian told me they were inseparable. "hey," I said to Crystal as she sat down in her seat. She just nods her head and takes out a notebook. She was wearing more Makeup than she did when I first met her, like she was covering something up.  

Crystal's POV 

Some time passed through class and I took notes. All of a sudden a paper ball hits my head. I open it up and it read:

    " Hiya Toots, I miss you, Love you, coming to Liam's Party tonight? I'll be there," 

I knew that hand writing. It was Nate's. I look behind me and see Nate smiling. He used me to stay on the football team. He still treats like were still together. I write Never in a Million years and toss it back at him. I cant believe he's trying to get me back. I just cant wait to get out of school and start the weekend. I plan on going over to Lillian's and stay at her place for the weekend. Another paper ball is thrown at my head which takes me out of my train of thought. I open it up and it said:

    "Oh Come on Babe, :(. I promise It wont be like last time."

I write "Stop it Nate! I hate you, you used me. Im not an Idiot," and I toss it back. Why must he torment me. Last time I got invited to a party I was humiliated in front of my whole class and upper classmen. I hate him, the football team, all of his friends.  The paper ball lands on my desk. I look back at Nate. That's it. "FOR the love of all this wonderful, NAte ! Leave me Alone!" I stand up and shout. 

"Babe chill," said Nate. Oh he's done it.

" Chill? Chill! is that some kind of joke? ANd Stop calling me Babe, we're through!" I shout. I storm out of the class room not realizing I leave a trial of frost as I do. 

Andrew's POv

Wow I've never seen her that mad. Wait is that Frost? Why did she take the word Chill so seriously. I stand up and follow her. It wasn't hard to find her with the trail of Ice she left. Is that why she got mad at me for calling her Ice Queen? I have way to many questions. "Crystal!? Wait." I said catching up to her. 

"Leave me alone Please," she said. She reaches outside of the school building. 

"Crystal, What was all of that about," I asked. 

"I said Leave Me Alone," she said creating a wall of ice blocking me from getting to her. I could go around but she would be farther away if I do. I decide to melt the ice quickly with my fire powers. ((Fire and Ice Hmmm)) It melts and I run after her. I finally reach her and grab her wrist. It was cold, ice cold. I look at her, she had tears run down her cheeks. She rubbed away the tears with her sleeve, it rubbed off some make up show her cheek was black and blue. What happened to her.

Crystal's POV

I wipe away the tears. Andrew stares at me wide eyed. I look at my sleeve and see that the foundation came off. Crap! I try to cover my face. "what Happened?" he asked looking at my bruised cheek. 

"Its Nothing," I said. I don't want to tell anyone.

"Your cheek is black and blue, that's not nothing," he said with concerned eyes. I cant tell him about my dad. I cant tell anyone. 

"Im clumsy and I fell," I lied. I look over at the wall of ice,"You melted it?! How?"

"I was born with powers. The element fire," he said, "I can see why some people called you Ice Queen." he chuckled. 

"I believe I was born with them, I don't know," I said looking at the ground. From what I've been told my real parents and I were in a car accident. I made it out alive but I got amnesia. 

"They're cool," he said. I glare at him. I hate puns, everyone does it with me, except Lillian. I pull my hand out of his grip. "Why did you get all angry like that?"

"Angry at the jerk face liar, you mean.." I sigh. "its a long story," I don't want to explain anything to anyone. I want to be alone, I need to fix my makeup. "I have to go." I said and walked off.

Andrews Pov

She left. I don't believe her when she said that she fell causing her cheek to bruise. And what did Nate do to cause her such sorrow and anger issues. I'll find out when she's willing to say. I decide to walk back to class. Maybe she will come to the party tonight...
