"Settle down!" Gobber said to the cheering crowd and they quieted.

"Next up is Astrid Hofferson! Singing Everytime we touch!"

Everyone started clapping as she stepped up on the stage. Astrid smiled and walked up to the mic. "Before I sing, I need to say something."

The crowd quieted down again and listened to her. "As many of you know, my boyfriend Hiccup left for the army about a year and a half ago. This song that I'm about to sing is the first song that we sang together when we officially become boyfriend and girlfriend. That was 3 and a half years ago, so I'm going to dedicate this song to him."

They started cheering as the lights turned off and the the music started, the candlelight version, then quieted down. A yellow light appeared over Astrid as she started to sing.

I still hear your voice when you sleep next to me.

I still feel your touch in my dream.

Forgive me my weakness but I don't know why, without you it's hard to survive.

As she sang, she thought about Hiccup before the war.

She thought about when they first met, when Astrid fell onto Hiccup in the school halls.

She remembered when they kissed for the first time, at a Fourth of July party during the fireworks.

Astrid recalled when they slow danced at a school dance and she had rested her head against his chest as the music ended.

A tear fell down her face as she thought about when Hiccup had left for the army, they had hugged for forever before he got on the bus. She had cried for days after that.

She thought about Hiccup in the war, sitting in his tent, looking at photos of them.

And everytime we kiss, I reach for the sky.

She thought about him heading to battle, in a truck bouncing along the road, with other soldiers.

Astrid started crying as she sang.

Tears now streamed down her face as she thought of him, his emerald eyes, his messy auburn hair, and his dorky, but cute, personality.

Th-They wipe away tears th-that I c-cry.

Astrid knew sadly that he wouldn't wipe away these tears.

Oh the g-good and the bad times, we've been th-through them all.

Astrid could barely see the crowd in front of her she was crying so much.

Y-you make me r-rise when I f-fall!

She couldn't do it. This was where Hiccup would come in. Astrid fell to the ground and sobbed, Gobber had stopped the music. She was on her knees, her hands covered her face. She tried to sing through her sobs but couldn't.

"H-hiccup, w-why d-did you h-have t-to go?" She asked through her sobs.

Suddenly, the music started and a voice deeper then hers picked up where she left off.

The crowd gasped and Astrid's eyes widened. She looked up to see a boy in camo pants, held up with a black belt, wearing a tight dark green t-shirt and a dog tag around his neck. He was holding a microphone, and was illuminated in yellow light, walking toward her.

Hiccup bent down and helped Astrid up off her knees as the music dwindled off. She stared at him, not knowing what to say before jumping onto him, hugging him tight. He wrapped his arms around her as she sobbed into his shoulder. "I've missed you so much, Hiccup!"

"I've missed you too, Astrid."

They pulled apart and Astrid put her hands on his cheeks and kissed him. He kissed back and after a couple of seconds, they pulled apart, gasping for air.

She hugged him again as tears streamed down her face.

"Hey, it's okay. It's okay, I'm here. I'm safe now." Hiccup comforted, moving his hand up and down her back.

She broke the hug, still holding his hands in hers and said, "Oh babe, I'm so glad you're here. Not a day went by where I wasn't thinking of you!"

He smiled and wiped away her tears with his thumb before putting his hand back, "Well, there is a crowd expecting a song. Shall we continue M'lady?"

Astrid smiled, it was just like Hiccup to do anything to sing with her. She nodded and Gobber started the music again. They looked at each other thoughtfully as they started to sing, the audience singing lightly in the background.

The couple looked lovingly into each other's eyes, saying without speaking: I love you.

They smiled happily and continued.
