Astrid's vision was becoming blurry and there were white spots everywhere. Her hands were clamped around her wound. Blood was oozing out of her calf. She was breathing very unsteadily and practically gasping for air.
   "Shut up." Ryker demanded irritably.
   Astrid squeezed her eyes shut and clenched her teeth.
   "Y-You cut my leg open! I'm bleeding out! Give me something to stop the bleeding!" She begged. Normally Astrid would never beg, but she didn't really feel like bleeding to death.
   "Oh for the love of Thor!" He shouted. He walked to the ship, tore a piece of of fabric off of the sail and walked back over to Astrid.
   He kneeled down and forcefully snatched Astrid's leg, tied the fabric around her calf, and threw her leg back down.
   Astrid yelped. Her vision was getting worse and worse. Her head was pounding.
   Ryker chuckled at her evilly as she fell backwards and lost consciousness.

   Hiccup and the gang landed on the far side of Dragon's Edge.
   "Hiccup remind me what the plan is again?" Snotlout said.
   "You and the twins distract Ryker while I get Astrid. I'll bring her to Fishlegs, who'll be waiting here for us. Once I give the signal, we all get out of here."
   Everyone agreed to the plan. Even Snotlout. So when the twins and Snotlout had Ryker distracted by luring him out into the ocean on his ship, Hiccup went to get his wife.
   He found Astrid unconscious on the ground. There was blood everywhere, he saw a huge cut on her calf, and a hand mark across her cheek.
   "Astrid!" He fell to his knees before her and held her in his arms.
   He knew he had to wake her quickly.
  "Astrid, wake up. Come on you can do it. I'm here. I love you so much Astrid. Come back to me."
   Astrid coughed and sputtered. Her eyelids lifted and he saw those beautiful ocean blue eyes.
   "Oh thank Thor! I thought I lost you! Gods Astrid what did he do to you?!"
   Hiccup brushed her hair aside to get a better look at her cheek. A wave of fury overtook him.
   "I'm fine Hiccup. Don't worry about me. We have to get out of here. Help me up."
   "What? No. Astrid there is no way I'm letting you walk with your leg like that. I'm carrying you."
   Astrid gave him a death glare.
   "Astrid." He pleaded. "I don't want you to get hurt anymore."
   Astrid continued to glare at him. Hiccup sighed. He set her back down and stood up. Then helped her stand up.
   Hiccup held her around her waist to make sure she didn't fall.
   "See? I can walk Hiccup. It's not that bad."
   Hiccup reluctantly let go of her. She teetered.
   "You're sure you're ok?" Hiccup asked.
   "No no no I'm fine. Totally fine, no I'm fine." Astrid said weakly.
   "Really? Because you're repeating your words, you look pale, and your leg is gushing blood!" Hiccup said, very worried about his wife.
   "Hiccup I'm perfectly fi-" Astrid's eyes rolled behind her head.
   "Astrid!" She fell forward into Hiccup and he wrapped his arms around her to prevent her from hitting the ground. He then noticed the tranquilizer dart lodged in her back.
   Ryker walked up and laughed. He pointed his knife at Astrid's head.
   "Now surrender Hiccup Haddock or this knife lodged into her skull!"
   "Don't do it Hiccup!" Hiccup peered around Ryker and saw Ruffnut, Tuffnut, Fishlegs, and Snotlout tied up.
   "If I give myself up, will they go free?" Hiccup asked, defeated.
   "Yes." Ryker replied.
   "Fine. But I swear if you hurt one hair on her head," Hiccup pointed to Astrid, "after I'm gone, I will haunt you to insanity."
    Ryker untied the gang. Hiccup lifted Astrid onto Barf and Belch's back.
   "Tell Astrid I love her." Hiccup stated.  Tuffnut and Ruffnut nodded and the and the gang flew off for Berk. All of them, crying their eyes out.
   Ryker pulled out his sword. "Let's begin."
