Astrid felt Hiccup's hand relax as she kissed him. She sat up to see his eyes closed and his chest not moving. He no longer winced in pain. He wasn't gasping for breath. He was completely still.
   "Hiccup?" Astrid gently tapped his shoulder.
   Valka stifled a sob and gently set her son's hand flat on the ground. "Astrid, he's gone."
   Everyone collapsed into the tears that threatened to drown them all, one by one. Toothless even cried.
   ***
   Hiccup stood up and looked around. Everywhere he looked there was white. Nothing else. Just white.
   "H-Hello? Where am I? Can anybody hear me?"
   What in Thor's name is happening to me? I died. I could have swore I just died.
   "Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III." Called a booming voice.
   Hiccup startled back. "Ahh! Ok where am I? What's happening to me? Is Astrid ok? Where is she?"
   The booming voice was silent for a moment. "Hiccup Haddock you made the ultimate sacrifice moments ago. You pushed Astrid out of the way of a wooden missile that would have killed her. But you sacrificed yourself instead."
   "Of course I did. I love her."
   "Obviously."
   "So am I dead or not?"
   Ignoring his question the voice said "You have a visitor."
   A person started to emerge from the whiteness until Hiccup realized that it was Stoick.
   Hiccup ran to hug his father. "Dad!"
   When they broke from the embrace Hiccup was dumbfounded. "Where are we? Am I dead?"
   "You are very dead Hiccup. But you don't have to be."
   "What?"
   "The gods have decided to give you another chance with life. Your sacrifice moved them. You're going  to go back."
   Hiccup was excited to get back to Astrid for a moment, then slumped.
   "I can't make a decision like this dad. I can't leave you again."
   "Son, you have a life to live and children to raise. A wife to support and care for."
   "Wait did you say children?"
   "I'll be right here waiting for you Hiccup. Don't worry. You'll see me again. But go back to them son. They need you. Berk needs you. Astrid needs you. Toothless needs you."
   And with that Hiccup was swooshed away.

   As everyone continued to sob, Hiccup's wound flowed a bright golden and healed up completely.
   Astrid wiped her tears away frantically. "Look! His.. His wound.. it's gone!"
   Hiccup took in a sharp breath and sat up.
   "Hiccup?!" Astrid along with the others screeched.
   Hiccup sat up and smiled. "You know, I could've swore I saw my dad a second ago."
   Astrid threw herself on top of Hiccup desperately.
  "You're alive! You're alive! Oh my Thor you're alive! I love you! Gods I love you please never leave me again!" Astrid broke down into more tears.
   Hiccup wrapped his arms around her and squeezed her tight. "Mlady, I love you too."
   Valka jumped into the hug as well. Everyone piled on top of Hiccup. When they finally let him breathe, Hiccup explained what happened.
   "Right as you kissed me Astrid, everything went black. I woke up in a white room and a booming voice talked to me. And after awhile my dad appeared. He and the gods sent me back."
   Astrid laughed and cried at the same time and kissed Hiccup. He immediately responded but the kiss didn't last long. He broke off and pointed at the twins.
   "If I ever see you two pranking like that again, you're going to outcast island and locked in separate cells. You two literally killed me. And no one likes being impaled. That crap hurts."
   Tuffnut and Ruffnut surprisingly didn't object. "Never again Chief." Ruff said.
   "Never again." Tuff agreed.
   It was then Toothless decided to give Hiccup a giant slobbery kiss.
  "Toothless you know that doesn't wash out!"
   ***
   As Hiccup and Astrid layed in their bed that's night Hiccup kissed Astrid and smirked.
   "Did I mention that we have children to raise?"
   "What?" Astrid raises an eyebrow.
   "That's what my dad told me. Looks like we're going to be parents sooner or later."
   Astrid rolled her eyes and kissed Hiccup. Thank Thor he's ok.
