Hiccup's POV

I was at Jack's house playing some video games while Toothless was running around biting the couch, the controller and my hair. He bounded back over and started to chew on my hair.

"Ok bud you really gotta stop that." I said and paused the game, picked him up with both hands, and layed him on a pillow. "Chew on that if you want to."

"Hey no pausing!" Jack shouted and unpaused the game.

"Dude I was trying to get my dragon to stop eating me!" I said and quickly grabbed my controller. We both heard a know on the door. Jack paused it and looked at me.

"Aren't you gonna get it?" He finally asked. I sighed and got up from the couch and walked to the door. I opened it and found Flynn standing there with a bored look.

"I'm bored." He said and walked in the house. He flung himself over the back of the couch, slamming onto the cushion, making Toothless fly up, then land back on the pillow. "So anyone got their eye on someone?"

"Uh no dude we just got done with the second day of school." Jack said.

"What about you Hiccup? I heard from James you were talking to Astrid Hofferson." Flynn stated.

"Wait woah Hiccup when were you planning on telling me this?" Jack yelled.

"Guys it was really nothing! She's nice so I talked to her. What is the big deal?!" I said and sat down in between Flynn and Toothless.

"Dude Astrid is one of the three prettiest girls in school! Do you know how hard it is to even get a smile out of her?" Jack shouted.

"Many have tried, few have succeeded." Flynn added ominously.

"Seriously you guys need to stop. We just get along and are probably going to end up being friends." I said. My mind told me to say 'I'm madly in love with everything about her', but I couldn't tell them that. No yet anyway. I've only just started talking to Astrid. A relationship would ruin what we have right now. And I really don't want that.

"Ugh Jack why is it so hot in your house." Flynn complained.

"Well this is a perfect opportunity to walk Toothless. You guys coming?" I said.

"Yeah sure." They replied at the same time. We all looked at each other for a minute, then left Jack's house and went towards the park.

Astrid's POV

Since Finn was at his friends house tonight, I decided to have the girls over for a little girls night. Just without the make overs and dress up. Even though Punzie will somehow talk Merida and I into it. She always does. Somehow.

"Okay guys let's do something a little different tonight!" Punzie said. Merida and I looked at each other with the same shocked expression, then turned back to Punzie, keeping the expression. "What?"

"Since when do you want to do something other then make overs and dress up?" Merida asked.

"Since just now." Punzie replied.

"Well what do you want us to do?" I asked.

"Let's go spy on boys at the park!" She exclaimed. The shocked look returned on me and Merida's faces. "It won't be bad I promise! We'll just hide in a bush."

"Punzie that's crazy why would you think that would be fun?!" I asked.

"I'd rather do make overs and dress up." Merida growled.

"You guys come on just this once." Punzie begged.

"Fine. Just this once, then we never even speak of it." I said and cracked my neck. Punzie shot straight up and started dragging us out of the house.

/~time skip~\

We were at the park, crouched behind a bush that was apparently making Merida itchy. She would keep figitting with the branches to try and get them off of her arms.

"Ugh Merida would you stop with the bush you're going to get us noticed." I said.

"I think I'm allergic to this stupid thing." She complained.

"Just stop there's someone coming." I said. We looked forward and saw two guys. One had a SnapBack on while the other had buzzed hair and a football jersey on.

"Who are they?" Punzie asked.

"I don't know but the one in the hat is kinda cute." Merida replied.

"Yeah sorta. Oh here come three more!" Punzie said. We all looked in that direction and I almost fell out of the bush.

"Guys do you know who they are?" I said.

"Really hot." Merida said. "The one with the brown hair wow." She added. I punched her shoulder.

"That's Hiccup you idiot!" I whispered/shouted. "The one with the white hair is Jack and the one with the sideburns is Flynn." I added.

"No way that's Hiccup." Punzie said. "How did you manage to get your number to that boy he's gotta have girls climbing all over him."

"He does but rejects them all. They're the hottest guys in the school." Merida replied.

"I like the one with the sideburns." Punzie stated and leaned forward, falling out of the bush. Merida and I gasped then closed our mouths with our hands. They looked at her as the top half of her body stuck out of the small orange colored bush.

"Woah are you alright?" Jack asked and he walked over to her and helped her up.

"Yeah I'm alright. I was just looking for my little chameleon. He scampered away while I was uh, walking." She said shyly. I nodded to Merida and she understood what I meant. I stood up and so did she.

"Punzie we didn't find him." I said. She gave me a look saying 'what on earth are you doing', but I didn't pay attention to that.

"Uh I'm sure Toothless could go search for him. He can get into those smaller spaces easier." Hiccup said as he picked up the little black dragon that was blending in with the background.

"Oh it's fine he was a little wild chameleon that I though was cute." Punzie lied.

"Are you sure?" Hiccup asked.

"Totally." Punzie responded then turned her head to look at Flynn.

"Oh Astrid hey." Hiccup said awkwardly.

"Hi. You know you didn't text me." I said and took a step forward to stand next to him.

"Yeah sorry I went straight to Jack's house. My dads having friends over and he says Toothless smells, but I don't want to bathe him. He hates it." Hiccup explained as he looked at the little dragon. I scratched Toothless's chin.

"You want me to help? I volunteered at an animal shelter and I know how to bathe them without putting them in the tub." I offered.

"Well if you aren't busy on Saturday I would really love your help. But you don't have to." He stated with an awkward tone.

"Oh it's no problem I would love to help." He smiled.

"Thanks my dad was gonna kill me if I didn't get him clean so you are saving my butt."

"Astrid come on let's go." Merida said.

"In a minute!" I shouted. Hiccup looked at his watch.

"Oh geez I gotta be home in 15 minutes. Jack, Flynn come on we really gotta go!" Hiccup shouted and turned to walk away, but then stopped himself.

"I'll see you at school tomorrow." He said then ran off to his friends, then they disappeared into the park.

"Hofferson and Haddock. Hofferson and Haddock." Punzie and Merida sang on each sides of my head.

"Guys stop. Let's go home Uncle Finn is going to wonder where I am."

Hiccup's POV

I walked in the house, placed my backpack in the corner, then set Toothless down on the floor.

"Ah there you are Hiccup! I was just talking about how well you're doing in school." Dad said from the kitchen table.

"Uh dad, it's only been two days. We have to even learned anything."

"I'm not talking about academics. I'm talking about that blondie you were talking to." He said.

"How do you even know about that!?"

"That girl is this guys niece." He said and pointed at Finn. "She told him about it when she got home."

"Okay cool. Well that 'blondie' is coming over Saturday to help me bathe Toothless." I said and started walking upstairs.

"Hold it mister." Dad stated and stood up. I froze and slowly turned around.

"Yeah?"

"Do you have homework?"

"Nope." I said then turned and walked upstairs before he could say anything else.

I shut my door and changed into a loose fitting t-shirt that was green and some brown sweats. I pulled out my phone and looked at my notifications. It consisted of new twitter followers like Kyle and Astrid. Wait Astrid? I clicked on it and followed her back. I looked at her tweets and photos, no I'm not stalking her. I kept scrolling and didn't see any pictures of her with any boys. It's all her and Stormfly or her and Punzie and occasionally her and Merida. I decided to text Astrid.

H- hey it's Hiccup

A- oh hey! What's up?

H- nothing much. your uncle is at my house.

A- really?

H- yeah him and my dads best friend Gobber

A- so that's where he always is. Maybe that's why we feel like we know each other

H- what do you mean?

A- we've probably met before through my dad and your uncle!

H- oh yeah!

A- anyway I'm gonna go to sleep we have school tomorrow so

H- alright I'll see you in English

A- see you then

H- good night

A- good night

I locked my phone and set my alarm. I pulled the covers up and closed my eyes with the biggest and most stupid smile on my face.

/~the morning~\

Astrid's POV

I woke up to the buzzing of my alarm clock. I slammed the button to turn it of and slumped out of bed. I rubbed my eyes, yawned, then got up. I put on some blue shorts, a red t-shirt and my red, low-top converse. I walked into the bathroom, put my hair in its usual side braid then brushed my teeth. Once I was done with my teeth, Stormfly was standing at my ankles, looking at me with a hungry look. I smiled and walked downstairs with her following me eagerly. I put some shredded chicken in her bowl.

"Sorry Finn but I gotta go." I said and grabbed my bag.

"What about breakfast Astrid?" He asked.

"Not that hungry. I'll eat at brunch I promise." I said then left the house and walked in the direction of the school.

/-time skip-\

I arrived at the school a few minutes before the buses, so I just walked in and went to my locker. I pulled out the book I needed for math and put the things I didn't need into my locker. I shut it to see a guy leaning against the locker next to mine.

"Uh hi. Can I help you?" I said with an annoyed tone.

"Yeah actually you can. I'm trying to make my ex-girlfriend jealous because that's what she's doing to me, so I need your help." He said.

"And why do you think I would do that?"

"Well you're pretty enough to make her really mad." He said.

"Okay listen here you perv. I'm not going to be your little tool to get your ex-girlfriend back. So how abut you just back off and-" I started to say angrily before I felt someone hold me back.

"Woah woah easy there. Get out of here Alex." Hiccup said as he pulled me by the waist. I felt my cheeks get warmer and warmer as he pulled me behind him and started defending me.

"Oh is this your little girlfriend?" Alex said with a rude tone.

"That really isn't any of your business. Now as I said, leave." Hiccup threatened.

"Ugh fine but that's only because you two aren't worth my time." Alex said and walked off towards his friend.

"You didn't have to stick up for me. I could've handled that." I told Hiccup once he turned around.

"It's no problem. He's been picking on me since I was in first grade." Hiccup said with a quieter tone.

"Why?"

"I don't know it's been happening for as long as I can remember. Even my cousin made fun of me." He said and leaned opened his locker, which was next to mine. I felt my cheeks getting warm.

"That's terrible." I said and covered my cheeks.

"Hey Astrid oh my gosh last night was so fun!" Punzie said as she walked up next to me, along with Merida. "Oh are we interrupting anything?" She quickly asked.

"No we were just talking." I said awkwardly. I saw Merida whisper something to Punzie, making her smile widely and hold back a squeal. The bell interrupted her inner squealing.

"Well I guess I better get to class. I'll see you later Astrid." Hiccup said and walked off with Jack. I waved but I don't think he saw me.

"Someone likes Hiccup." Punzie sang as we walked to math.

"I do not! We're just...friends." I said. I can't admit to them that I like him. They would push me into a relationship with him and possibly ruin what we have. And I don't want that. At all.

"You guys would be an adorable couple." Punzie said.

"He probably has a girlfriend Punzie."

"I've never seen him with any girls. Other then the ones that are trying to go out with him."

"Yeah. But still he probably has his eye on someone."

Punzie's POV

I desperately wanted to say 'yeah he does have his eye on someone. That someone is you' but Astrid would just deny it and say that would never happen. Sometimes she drives me crazy.

"Who do you think he likes?" I asked.

"There are numbers of girls that he could like. There's really no way of telling unless you actually ask him." She answered as we walked into our classroom and sat in our seats. The bell rang on e more, signaling it was the start of our classes. The teacher walked in and set his bag on the ground beside his desk.

"Alright good morning everyone." Mr. Logan greeted. "I hate saying this because I know you all want to sit with your friends, but I'm going to have to make a seating chart. It'll be ready by the end of the week. I think." He added. Everyone groaned and slumped in their seats. "Well if you can prove to me that you can focus while sitting with your friends, I won't make the chart. But rememeber, if one person messes this up the seating chart changes ALL of the seats."

Everyone sat straight up and silenced their whispers. Mr. Logan just looked at us with a shocked expresison, as if he'd never seen this before.

"Well that was certainly a change." He started. "A dramatic one to be exact." He added.

/-time skip to PE-\

I walked out of the locker room and into the gym, then sat in my roll call spot. Everyone was chatting and standing in random spots around the locker room doors while I was the only one sitting. But that's because Mr. Rogers doesn't like it when you aren't sitting down.

"Boo!" Someone said as they shook my shoulders.

"Ah!" I yelled, making everyone stop talking and look at me like I was crazy. I looked down at the floor when I saw Hiccup sit down in front of me. "Did you just scare me?" I asked.

"Maybe." He replied with a slight grin. I sighed and faced forward.

Will we happen? Or is everyone just crazy?

Sorry this took a while.

My update on my other story got erased so i re-wrote all of that and it took FOREVER!

And also school and stuff i'm going crazy.
