First thing I want to do?

Explore.

Nearly 16 years of not existing, I'd love to explore and see how things have changed.

The little things is what I appreciate in life, even if it doesn't seem to matter to me anymore. It's a new day, and I could at least try to be positive, right?

...right. Trying. I need to try this time around.

Putting up a smile, I opened the large steel gates, taking in the breath of fresh air once more.

The leaves from the garden's trees rustled as some picked themselves off, fluttering away in the wind. I beamed at the sight, watching the little leaves float off.

'Didn't think I'd ever miss seeing leaves...' I chuckled quietly to myself, grinning happily at the thought. I treaded on forward to the empty streets, seeing all kinds of...machines around.

Square-ish, kinda wide, round...wheels? Wheels...haven't heard that word in forever. Speaking of, I know what these things are, but I can't...put my finger on it.

...CARS. They're fucking cars.

"Ooh." I muttered out, staring at a navy blue colored one. I snort and laugh, being lucky enough to be alone out here.

I've been gone for way too long, haven't I?

I grin and continue my stride, looking at every car that passed. I stopped for a second, staring at a slower paced one.

"HOLY SHIT, IT'S HUGE." I gasped in awe, my hands getting a little fidgety as my eyes sparkled. I'm pretty sure the couple that just walked by looked at me as if I was insane.

"Dang, I wanna build one of those..." I muttered to myself, watching it move out of view.

If it weren't for my...mistakes, I could've built whatever contraption I wanted. I could've also been one of the first people to make something like that...

...but I just wasted that skill into making a portal I never even wanted to make.

"Move out of the way!" A person yelled at me, bumping my side as he passed. "Ah, s-sorry." I grumbled, bowing my head a little to apologize.

I sighed and continued to walk, feeling a little guilty for just standing there. Hey, when am I not in the way? Heh...

Before I could notice, I was already in a city. Not the blocky ones I'm used to, the tall, wide, and gigantic building and apartment complex filled city.

One large contraption was posted on the side of a tall building, showing all kinds of people and music as the machine flashed into different colors.

What...is that thing? It looks...familiar.

I quickly snapped out of my trance and hurriedly continued to walk, looking around as not to hit anyone. I shoved my hand inside my pockets, glancing down at the ground.

I heaved out a sigh, stopping by a small crowd that surrounded one part of the street. I looked ahead of me, seeing white stripes littered on the coal black pavement.

Before I knew it, the small group of people started to walk off. I stared at them ahead for a second before flustering, quickly following awkwardly.

I quickly made it to the other side with the people from before scattering in different directions. I inhaled deeply and sighed, rubbing my neck.

God, that was awkward. I have no idea how anything works here.

Sure, we had cities, but no cars or whatever black ground we just walked on.

I turned and started to walk again, taking a glance behind me.

A boy, around 19 or 20, with hazelnut brown hair swept to the side and eyes a deep red hue, walking the same path as I was with his face turned to a small little device in his hand.

Not to mention the black headphones with glowing green sides.

...wait wh--

Before I could finish the thought, I quickly hear a loud, deafening noise. I saw the boy freeze and turn to his side, eyes quickly widening.

My body moved before my brain could process what I was doing.

I sprinted to him and quickly pulled him out of the way, the same, enormous car I saw from earlier speed by. We both fell over to the side.

My heart pounded, my ears rang. I heard gasps from behind me, my grip on the boy tightening even more. People started to surround us, some worried and some afraid.

I panted hard and looked down at the boy, sweating bullets. My eyes widened for a fraction, my heartbeat racing even more.

"...Ty?"
