Gentleman - 14.

You woke up the next day and groaned, not wanting to get out of bed. You shut your alarm off before rolling over the other side of the bed then slowly sliding off.

Your whole body ached as you stumbled over to the bathroom. You took your time showering this morning before stepping out and dressing in a simple pair of blue jeans and a band t-shirt, pulling Jungkook's hoodie that you kept from that night on as well. You slid a baseball cap over your hair after drying it, patting on some minimal makeup and lip gloss.

You grabbed your book bag and rushed down the steps, grabbing your keys and checking the time on your phone. You didn't have enough time to take the bus today so you decided to drive. Sliding on a pair of vans and slinging your bag over your shoulder as you headed out the door.

You locked your door and ran down the porch steps about to head to your car before stopping in your tracks as you noticed a familiar looking black car parked near the driveway.

You cocked your head to the side as the window rolled down and out popped a cute fluffy haired Jungkook, smiling at you, "Hey, babe."

Your eyes widened and you ran up to the car, leaning over and poking your head into his window, "What are you doing here?" You smiled at him, leaning in and giving him a peck on the lips.

He looked so cute.

Nothing like the man that fucked you into oblivion last night.

His hair was bouncy and fluffy, his cute smile on full display as he pecked you back. He wore a grey hoodie and a pair of light blue jeans. He looked so cozy. You wanted to ditch school and spend the day wrapped up in him.

"I have a meeting close by.. so I figured I'd give you a ride to school. Get in." He smiled at you and you laughed, walking around to the passenger side of the door and getting in next to him, placing your bag on your lap.

"I was running late." You laughed, strapping the seatbelt over you.

"I figured and you probably missed breakfast too, huh? I stopped at your favourite cafe and got you that latte you like and the croissant I ate last time." Jungkook smiled as he handed you the cup of coffee and a takeout bag.

You stared at him, mouth agape before breaking out into a bright smile, your stomach grumbling, "Oh my god. You remembered!" You laughed before leaning over and giving his cheek a quick kiss before you sipped your coffee. "Thank you, Kookie." You giggled at the nickname you wanted to try calling him.

He blushed and looked over at you, chuckling softly, "Is that your new name for me?" He asked as he got to a red light.

"Yes."

"I like it." He grinned a toothy smile at you before leaning over and pecking you quickly on the lips.

"What's your meeting about?" You asked with your mouth full of a bite of your croissant.

"I'm actually investing in some property around here. So, I have a shareholder's meeting." He nodded, fingers drumming against the steering wheel.

He didn't want to tell you he decided to do this because he wanted to be closer to you. He didn't want to tell you he also bought a condo downtown so he could have a permanent place to stay when he came to see you.

He didn't want to tell you he was in love with you and was doing all these crazy things in hopes you'll love him too.

This was all new to him. He was scared about the future.

You barely knew anything about him. He wanted to take it slow with you. He wanted you to see how serious he was about you. But another part of him wanted to kidnap you and take you back to Korea with him.

His nerves were all over the place this morning.

After your date last night, he went home to his Hyungs waiting like a pack of hyenas for him. They wanted to know how it went and he told them it was perfect. He told them he was in love with you and they were ecstatic. Namjoon promised to help him with whatever he needed and even Jimin teared up at his Jungkookie finally growing up.

He felt happy and at ease. For once in his life, he felt some calmness.

But this wasn't over. He still needed to go back to Korea. Their tour season was starting. Filming and shoots were being booked up. He was going to be even busier once they got back home. And most of all.. he didn't know how you felt about him. He didn't know how this would work between the two of you if he even had a chance to have you.

He had no idea if you were in love with him too.

You showed him that your school was around the block from the cafe and he smiled, pulling up to your school and stopping the car.

You sighed, taking your seat belt off and looking at him, "Do I have to go?" You pouted lightly and he laughed, turning to face you and cupping your cheek, pressing a gentle kiss to your lips.

"Yes. Be a good girl and go."

You chuckled against his lips and kissed him back before forcing yourself to pull away.

"Thanks for the ride and breakfast, Kookie." You smiled at him and slid out of the car, waving at him before running up the steps to the doors of your school.

He watched you disappear into the school and sighed softly before reversing out of the parking lot and heading to his meeting.

...

After your class, you had some free time so you decided to head to the bookstore close by.

You recently finished the novel you were reading and decided you wanted to buy a new one. You zipped Jungkook's hoodie up as you walked. It felt like autumn today as the wind blew. It was perfect weather to curl up with a good book and that's exactly what you planned to do when you got home.

You walked into the bookstore and smiled at the owner before heading to your favorite section. You browsed the books on the shelf, flipping to a random page on one book and reading through it before putting it back on the shelf. Your fingers traced over the books on the shelves as you scanned them, looking for something that jumped out at you,

"I recommend this one." A soft voice came from beside you.

You turned to look at the person and your eyes widened,

"Jimin?" You froze, not sure if you should run, hide or scream.

"Hey, Y/N." He smiled warmly at you. He had a hat on, his face covered a bit but you remembered those soft, plump lips.

"Should I even be talking to you?" You huffed and walked away from him, going to another aisle.

You didn't want to be around him. His stupid, beautiful face made you upset.

Jimin sighed. He knew you'd be pissed at him. He didn't blame you. But when he saw you come into the bookstore, he couldn't help but want to make it right.

What was he doing there anyways? Oh, right. Jimin always had the habit of exploring whenever he came to a different city. Wanting to get out and be one with the locals. Hit up the hot spots for food, entertainment and of course, pleasure. Today, Jimin decided to explore the downtown cityside. Passing by the tiny bookstore and getting distracted by the quaint book displays in the window of the store. How lucky he felt to have been in the same bookstore as you. Almost felt like fate if he wanted to think about it that way.

"I know you're mad at me, Y/N. And I'm sorry." Jimin followed you, "Can you hear me out?"

You tried to keep your voice down as you spun around, "No. I don't think you get to explain to me.. you tried to seduce me. Offering me money thinking I'd give in." You whispered, glaring at him, "I know you think you can flash your money and I'll drop to my knees for you but that's not how it works, Jimin. I choose who I want to be with.. for money or for free." You fumed, pulling a book off the shelf and opening it, trying to calm yourself down.

Jimin sighed as he listened to you but when you mentioned dropping to your knees, his eyes went to your lips and he shifted, shaking his head of the dirty thoughts that came into his mind.

"Please, Y/N." He walked closer to you, hands going to your shoulders and pressing you into the bookshelves, "Just listen to me."

You clutched the book in your hand against your chest, gasping as you looked at him with bewilderment in your eyes,

"What the fuck do you think you're doing?" You breathed out softly, his face dangerously close to you. "Get back."

"Would you hear me out?"

"Fine. But not here and not this close to me."

He nodded with a sigh and stepped back from you. You breathed heavily, shoving the book into the shelf and turning on your heels, walking out of the bookstore quickly.

Jimin followed behind you, jogging a bit to catch up with you as you started to walk down the sidewalk.

He caught up to you and started to stride alongside you, "Where are you going, Y/N?"

"I don't know... I'm just walking." You mumbled.

"Can we please just sit down and talk about this?" Jimin reached out, gently grabbing your arm to stop you.

You sighed, closing your eyes before turning around and looking at him, "Fine."

"Thank you. Look, a coffee shop is right here. Let's just go have a seat."

"Fine." You muttered again, following him into the coffee shop. You plopped down in a chair in the corner of the shop, hugging your backpack against your chest.

You didn't want to get comfortable because you were planning to run away and leave if Jimin even tried anything.

He sighed and sat down, "Can I get you a coffee or something, Y/N?" Jimin looked at you with pleading eyes, clearly stepping on eggshells around you. He didn't want to scare you away.

You rolled your eyes and nodded, "Fine. I'll have anything."

Jimin couldn't help but laugh at your one worded answers. He thought you were adorable even though you were pissed off at him.

He nodded and went to the counter, ordering you a milkshake and himself a coffee before sliding the milkshake over to you as he sat down.

You glared at him, taking the milkshake and poking your straw into it before taking a sip, narrowing your eyes at him before mumbling,

"It's delicious, thank you. But I'm still pissed at you. You have two seconds to talk before I walk out of here."

Jimin laughed softly at you and your cheeks blushed lightly but you kept a straight face before leaning back, crossing over your arms over your chest,

"Seriously. Explain yourself, Jimin."

Jimin sighed, shaking his head, "I don't know where to begin. I'll start off by saying I'm sorry, Y/N." He nodded, lips pressing into a line.

"Keep going." You mumbled, sipping more of your milkshake, your anger starting to subside.

Jimin gave you a gentle smile, "I honestly didn't think you and Jungkook were serious. Well, I didn't think he was serious about you. Until now."

"Is he?"

"He's head over heels, Y/N." Jimin mumbled, playing with his coffee cup, "And I feel like shit for what I said to you."

"Anything else?" You asked, tilting your head. You were fighting to stay angry but you had a hard time.

Jimin seemed so likeable.

"And... if you forgive me, I'll buy you dinner. And I won't try anything again." Jimin nodded with a smile.

"You'll buy me dinner every single time you come back to this city." You negotiated with a smile.

You didn't want to be angry anymore. You believed he was sincerely sorry. But you didn't trust him.

Not yet at least.

"I want us to be friends. Especially if you're going to be close to Jungkookie." He smiled at you and you sighed a bit, shaking your head,

"I don't know how I can be close to Jungkook." You confessed, chewing on your lower lip.

"What do you mean?"

"I don't know. I'm just.. I don't know. Being with him... it feels wrong and it feels right."

Jimin smiled tenderly at you before reaching over the table, taking your hands in his and squeezing them gently.

You tensed up a bit but relaxed, sighing as you stared down at your melting milkshake.

"Hey, Y/N... look at me." Jimin smiled at you, patting your hand, "Love is confusing."

"Who said anything about love?"

"You didn't need to say anything." He grinned.

You rolled your eyes and pulled your hands back from him before shaking your head.

Is it love? You thought it was. But you had to deny it. For your sake, you had to believe it was just lust and attraction.

"I gotta go.. I have an assignment." You lied, starting to get up.

"I'll drop you home!" He grinned, getting up as well.

You paused and raised an eyebrow at him, "I don't think you will." You sat down again.

He shook his head with a soft laugh and pouted lightly, his cute lips jutting out.

"Okay... but at least give me your number so we can keep in touch?" He asked with a smile.

You rolled your eyes and pulled your phone out of your pocket, sliding it to him. "Fine."

He smiled at you, taking your phone and putting his number into it before grinning at you.

"Jiminie? Is that what you wanna be called?" You looked at the name he saved in your phone and chuckled.

He nodded, "If you don't mind. I think it's cute." He smiled, starting to get up.

You shrugged, pushing your phone back into your pocket before setting your bag down.

"You go ahead. I'm going to hang out here for a bit. I'll work on my assignment here." You smiled, pulling the milkshake back over to you, "Thanks for the drink."

Jimin grinned at you, pulling his sweatshirt hood over his head as he nodded, "I'll see you, Y/N."

"I'm sure you will." You nodded, pulling your laptop out of your bag.

He smiled at you one more time before exiting the cafe.

You exhaled softly and shook your head before pulling your headphones on as you opened your laptop, opening up your lecture notes. Your plan was to hide in here until you were sure he was gone.

After an hour or so, you packed up your stuff and left the café, walking along the street to the bus stop to go home. You stood at the bus stop and waited before feeling your phone buzzing in your pocket, you pulled it out and smiled, answering right away,

"Hey, babe. Where were you? I texted you like 3 times." Jungkook's voice sounded worried.

"Oh-- I didn't even notice, I was studying."

"Wait, where are you?"

"I'm at the bus stop."

He paused for a long minute and you thought he hung up before he sighed softly,

"Where are you, babe. I'll come get you."

"No, no... it's okay. The bus is coming right now. I can see it." You lied, looking around for any sign of the bus.

"Don't lie to me, Y/N."

"Don't worry, Kookie. I'll be home soon."

He was quiet again before sighing once more,

"Can I see you?"

"Right now?"

"Yeah, or whenever you're free."

"Okay, meet me at my house in an hour." You smiled as you got onto the bus, tapping your bus pass before taking a seat.

"Alright, be safe."

"Of course." You smiled, "Bye. See you soon."

You smiled and hung up, tucking your phone away.

You got off the bus and started walking down the street to your house, looking at your phone and scrolling through your messages again. You sighed as you read one of your old sugar daddy's message of him asking you to hang out.

You typed him a reply, fixing a date for tomorrow. It was just shopping. You figured going for some retail therapy would get your mind off these lovey dovey feelings you were having lately.

You walked up to your doors and went inside your house, placing your bag away before skipping into the bathroom for a quick shower. You put on a pair of shorts and a big sweater before sliding on some fuzzy house slippers, slinging your hair into a messy bun.

You heard the doorbell ring and you ran down the steps, running to the door and swinging it open with a smile, "Kookie" You sang as you opened the door and bright smile on your face.

"Someone's in a good mood." Jungkook grinned at you, a box of pizza in one hand and a pack of beers in the other as he you opened the door wider for him to come in.

You were in a good mood now that you saw Jungkook.

He came into your house and you took the pizza and beer from him as he took his shoes off. You walked into the living room and put the pizza and beer down before turning to look up at him as he followed you into the living room,

"Are you wearing pajamas?" You giggled as you checked out his cartoon character sweatpants and t-shirt outfit,

"I was hoping you'd let me sleep here." He chuckled, pulling you into his arms as he looked down at you.

"Of course. I'd like that a lot." You smiled at him, leaning in and pecking his lips softly before pulling away and plopping down onto the carpet, already opening the box of pizza and grabbing a beer.

He smiled and sat down on the carpet with you, leaning over as you were about to take bite of your pizza slice but he beat you to it, chomping a bite of your pizza slice before cracking open a can of beer, taking a long drink out of it.

Your eyes narrowed at him, "You're so annoying." You laughed before eating your pizza, crossing your legs before grabbing the remote for the tv and turning it on,

"Give me that, let me choose something."

You both wrestled over who gets to choose what to watch before you finally gave up and let Jungkook choose.

"Of course you'd choose a scary one." You rolled your eyes as he scrolled through the horror category on Netflix. You opened your second can of beer and grabbed another slice of pizza as he looked at you,

"You don't like scary movies?"

"No. I get scared."

Jungkook started laughing before shaking his head, leaning in and pressing a gentle kiss against your cheek, "I'm here to protect you, don't worry."

After you both finished eating you cleaned up before crawling onto the couch, curling up against it. Jungkook did the dishes for you while you waited for him, looking up at him as he walked into the living room and turning off the light before jumping onto the couch with you, pulling you into his arms as he leaned over and pressed play for the movie to start.

You leaned against his side as the movie played before mumbling suddenly,

"I have to go out tomorrow with one of my old clients. Just shopping." You didn't know why you felt the need to tell him your plans.

Jungkook was quiet for a second, finally glancing over at you with a pained smile, "I can take you shopping, Y/N."

"I know you can, J.K. But this is an old friend of mine." You smiled reassuringly at him with a nod.

"Did you ever sleep with him?"

"What? No! He's like a hundred years old. He just likes having company when he's in the city."

Jungkook exhaled with relief before looking at you,

"That's okay, Y/N. Have some fun. I have meetings all day anyways."

You smiled at him, thankful for the fact that he wasn't jealous or anything. He might be jealous with what you were going to tell him next though...

"Oh yeah.. I forgot to tell you. I saw Jimin today."

Jungkook froze, the beer can in his hand crushing lightly before his head turned to you, "What?"

"I was at a bookstore looking for a new novel and he happened to be there.." You paused, checking his face for any anger before continuing, "He wanted to apologize and I didn't want to talk to him at first but then we went to a coffee shop and he bought me a milkshake...-"

Jungkook cut you off, reaching over to pause the movie as he shook his head, "He what?! Y/N, didn't I say to stay away from him?"

"Relax, Jungkook. He literally apologized. I believe him. He even gave me his number."

Jungkook groaned, head dropping back against the couch, "You don't get it."

"Maybe you're the paranoid one." You mumbled and Jungkook's eyes went to you, shaking his head.

"I just don't trust him, babe. I've lived with him for almost 10 years."

"Let's just give him a chance, okay? I need to get to know your friends too... if we're gonna be... you know..."

"Boyfriend and girlfriend?" Jungkook interrupted.

"No- I mean.. I don't know. If we're gonna be friends." You nodded.

"Did you just friendzone me?"

You rolled your eyes, sighing softly, "Sometimes you can be a real idiot. No, I didn't friendzone you. I just want... to take things slow. I don't even know anything about you."

"Then get to know me. Let me take you out on a second date, Y/N."

"It doesn't matter how many dates we go on, J.K. The problem is you live in a whole different country and you're too secretive about your job."

Jungkook shook his head, "I'm not as secretive actually. I'm everywhere... you just don't see me."

"Now that just sounds weird." You made a face.

Jungkook sighed, "How about this... There's this party this week that I have to attend before I go back home. Come with me. I'll show you everything. You'll meet my friends. You'll see the people I work with and whatever else. But before that, I'll take you out onto a second date too." He nodded.

You pondered for a second, humming in thought before nodding, "Deal." You reached over and pressed play on the movie before leaning back into his side, snuggling into him.

Jungkook smiled triumphantly and laid down on the couch, pulling you into his arms and against his chest as you both watched the move,

"If I get nightmares, I'm gonna kill you." You muttered as you flinched when a scary scene came on.

Jungkook chuckled and leaned down, kissing the top of your head, "You're such a baby."

"I'm your baby." You laughed softly, peeking up at him.

"That, you are." He smiled, looking down at you.

You looked up at him with a smile, leaning up and pressing your lips against his gently.

He returned the kiss and you hummed softly, tilting your head a bit to continue the kiss. Jungkook smiled against your lips, reaching down and brushing his fingers over your cheek. You slowly moved up so that you were straddling his lap, leaning back down to kiss him again, "I'm sorry.. I just can't keep my hands off you." You whispered against his lips and his hands went to your waist as he smirked against your lips,

"I'm not stopping you, Y/N."
