I widened my eyes as I saw the little package in Izuku's mother's hand as she was frantic and out of breath as Izuku widened his eyes.

"Your results came in Izu," I bluntly said as I looked at him as he was nervous and pale, like he knew that he didn't make it. I noticed the tension immediately as I placed a hand on his shoulder as I pulled him into a hug. We separated as I said,"I'm sure you did fine. Have faith,"

Midoriya gave me a faint smile as his mother called me to the kitchen so Midoriya could be alone during the opening of his final result.

God I hope he gets in...

For Izuku to get into U.A. would be like a dream come true for both of us as I was pacing the kitchen, worried out of my mind as I desperately waited for Izuku's results. His mother wasn't any better as it was her own son after all. She was nervously sweating as I tried to keep her from fainting from anxiety and pressure.

It's just like that day...

It was the time when it was official that Izuku was quirkless. Right when the doctor told Izuku about his anomaly and mutation with his foot that changed his whole life. After that my childish self just watched at Izuku try to attract objects and pathetically try to breathe fire as there was nothing that I could do for him.

I put a hand on the woman's shaking hand as I assured her everything will be fine.

At least I hope they will...

I never really prayed for anything in my life except for the myths that fuel my quirk, but now I'd sacrifice my everything just to get a happy ending for me and Izuku. I heard the door creek open as Izuku came out, as he looked up at me smiling as I covered my face as tears brimmed my eyes.

"I made it in,"

With that I had already leaped into his arms as he swung me around surprisingly as he had a strong firm grasp around my body.

He's gotten so much stronger...

I blushed as Midoriya put me down as his mother broke out into tears as she shakily went into for a hug. I awkwardly laughed as I smiled.

I guess the crying trait is from his mother...jesus..

With that I actually ended up staying for longer than I expected. His mother insisted that we throw a party in honor of Midoriya's acceptance until he suddenly asked,"B-But what about you Tekami-san? Y-You didn't do the exams,"

His mother froze sensing that there would be tension as I awkwardly laughed as I replied,"Techinally I already made it. I forgot to tell you earlier Izu-kun, but I'm actually the top reccomended student in U.A. right now,"

Midoriya held his mouth open as his mother was gawking as well as Midoriya stuttered,"R-Reccomended?! W-When?! H-How?"

I smiled as as I held my hands behind my back,"Hard work and dedication I guess...?"

And with the help of a certain shortcake...

Midoriya suddenly blurted out questions as he suddenly took out the notebook I had saved from the first day of our reunion. He had quickly drawn a little picture of me as he wanted to know all about my quirk and how its grown since then.

"S-Sorry Izu-kun, but you'll have to find out on your own," I replied as he sulked at how i was keeping secrets from him again.

He's deffinitely gonna use that against me in the future...

His mother sent us out to go get snakcs as she was preparing another feast in time for dinner as we walked along the sidewalk to the conveniance store.

"Hey, that reminds me. Which class were you put in?" I asked him as we entered a familiar place from when I firs returned to Mustafu.

"O-Oh! I-I got put in class 1-A!" Midoriya chimed as he smiled at me.

I held my mouth open before I punched him in the arm,"The top class? No way! You're gonna be with me?! Jesus what did you do in those exams?!"

I was smiling and joking as Midoriya gave off an awkward laugh as he rubbed the spot I hit him while we finally reached the convenience store.

I remember now...

We both stopped as Midoriya concerningly looked at me as I smiled at him, reassuring him I was fine, but I knew I wasn't as I asked,"I went back here when I first returned. I'd never think that they would turn my cherished home into some cheap old convenience store.."

"I was a little agitated. I was mad they wouldn't even try to preserve it..." Midoriya sighed as we continued walking.

"I wouldn't blame them. No one would ever want to live in a place with such history," I scoffed as Midoriya pushed open the glass and metal door for me as I walked in while the scent of linoleum aisles and plastic filled the air.

"What should we get?" Midoriya asked me as I opened the glass door to the wall of fridges that held the liters of drinks.

"Just some drinks and snacks should be fine. Maybe we can stop by the café with Hijirikawa and pick up some cake," I mentioned as I pulled out a few selections of drinks while Midoriya picked out the snacks like chips and only a few boxes a pocky.

As it filled the counter with the many items as Midoriya was apologizing the whole way as I had to pay for it.

We had stopped by the café with Hijirikawa as she was surprised to find myself in my regular form with Midoriya as we had bought a strawberry shortcake from her.

I looked at it before I smiled as I remembered a very cherished memory of mine.

It was a fun night as by the time we got back the food had almost been done and it was just a fun conversation of things of catching up with me and before we knew it the day had gotten late as Midoriya decided to walk me home.

"Hey Midoriya?" I called for him as we kept walking to my apartment.

Midoriya looked at me as we kept waling,"Yeah? What is it Tekami-san?"

I smiled as I looked down at the ground,"When the time comes for us on our very first day of U.A...There's someone I'd like you to meet,"

Midoriya looked at me confused as he asked,"Who is it? A friend? Are they another recommended student?"

I looked up at the starry sky as I said,"This person is another recommended student, but this person has helped me through...well all the trauma I've been through. I'd want nothing more than for for then you two to get along,"

"I'm sure that if this friend is that important to you we'll be great friends," Midoriya scoffed as I smiled at him as we had just arrived at the building.

As we walked to my door I said,"I'm glad to hear that. I'm sure you and him with be great friends,"

With that I had shut the door leaving Midoriya frozen.

"Him?" Midoriya said, his voice full of anguish and jealousy as he was not notified that it was a boy that had been with me all those years.

He shook it off, trying not to let it bother him as he walked back, but as walked back he could not think of anything other than how lucky that guy was to have been there by my side all that time.

ANNOUNCEMENT AND QUESSTION!!!

For those who have read this story and my other story "Barbed Wire" I have an announcement. I'm writing a new story.

*cough*even though I just posted a new story a few weeks ago*cough*

I had an idea and I could not let it go to waste without having it published right away. This story will be called "Worldly" and the story will soon be ready.

But but but!

In order to post this I will have to pause a story. I honestly have too many stories to keep writing chapters for even though I love writing for all of them I will have to pause one in order to keep a stable balance in my schedule for writing chapters. The question is would you rather get a brand new story while pausing a story of mine or would you rather just keep the things the way they are right now?

And when I mean pause I mean that I'll just write a good amount of chapters for the new story and the unpause it as I'll keep writing new chpaters for the paused story from where it's left off.

I'd really appreciate your opinion if you guys want to comment. This message is also in the latest chapter of Barbed Wire.

AND if you were to want to pause one of my stories then which one would you choose? I'm definitely not stopping "Light in my Shadow" since I have a lot of readers who look forward to those chapters and I'm not stopping any stories that have less than 12 chapters because it's still new and the only reason I'm allowing Barbed Wire since it's partially new, but because it's not as favorited as the other stories even though it's been going on for a little while I am considering pausing it.
