We sat around our dorm, lolling in the silence after Ge and Glen finished explaining their side. There were so many questions I had but the only thing I could muster is
"So, you guys...are...like..." I was still struggling with the concept
"Yeah," Glen said, breathily. She got up and moved to sit next to me, and held my hand in hers
"Nico I know this is really weird for you, but hey! Now at least you can come and spend Christmas at the House!" She beamed with the idea while Ge simply rolled his eyes
"Really, Glen? That's what you've been thinking about!" Glenda shot him a look and he just raised his eye brows "we've got more important things to think about, like the fact that I was close to being expelled, let alone sacked from leader!" He sighed again, "christmas plans! Ridiculous!" He said under his breath
"Well excuse me for trying to inject a little bit of seasonal cheer! We've only got one tournament until we break up!" She turned back to Nico "and besides our bickering isn't helping Nico understand or helping him with the huge decision he's facing in-" she glanced at her watch "oh, four hours!"
The recent time update had scared me even more, I only have four hours to get my head around this crazy shit and to decide if I'm going to stick with the original plan or to go with what I really want.
"It's just so odd!" I pipe up to try and stop their arguing "you guys.... TWINS!" I got up and pulled my hand from Glens.
"Nico, it's not that big of a deal-" Geoffrey wafted his hand as through it were nothing
"Not a big deal!?" I turned sharply to glare at him, my arms crossed in front of me. "It changes everything because now I feel guilty whenever I'm with either one of you and not with the other!" Glen tried to hide a giggle behind her hand
"What!?" Ge shot at her
"Well, I was just thinking what a damn good thing it is that Nico and I aren't fucking!" Even I laughed, only Ge seemed to keep his straight face.
"Oh come on Ge! I was only joking!" Glenda laughed, patting his arm.
"I'm sorry I'm a bit stony, I just can't help but worry about our parents!" And instantly Glens laughing subsided.
"Ge, we're not telling them a thing!" She wasn't looking him in the eye, instead her eyes stayed rooted in the carpet. The thing was that Glen And Ge's parents received large amounts of money from the school each month, this was due to the fact that Ge and Glen were both segment leaders of some of the most powerful and popular segments in the entire school. I don't know the details but I did know that the Parkers depended on that salary, and they could be very dangerous when annoyed. The silence was awful but when I coughed and both pairs of almost identical, pale eyes looked my way
"I need to be alone for a bit-" I swallowed as their eyes narrowed "just to think." Ge got up to kiss me but I stepped back and left.
