[3-0] INTRODUCTION

I joined Wattpad 2 years ago, circa 2017, although I began writing four years earlier than that. My years of experience, compared to many people on Wattpad, aren't significant.

Before I continue typing up the first article for Section 3, I'd like to make clear that there will be none of the "How To Write Better" tips include. I'm not a great author, I'm not the best out in the field, I'm not really anything higher than average, thus I'm in no position to tell others what is best for them. The best I'll do is merely echoing (quoting) another author and will provide a link to their blog so you can be inspired by the original themselves. Moreover, I'm sure y'all know the drill to great writing, so I'll not waste my time rewriting what many others had written.

What I'll do, however, is to explore the uncharted territories of "public image" and "people skill".

So what does that mean?

It means you can come into this mini-guide, expecting to know a) how to write a good profile and gives yourself a friendly or professional vibe, b) how to make friends and start conversations, especially if you're shy, c) how to measure which awards/activity you should invest your time/effort in and which awards/activity you shouldn't and et cetera.

I will dig a lot and include multiple perspectives so the guide will be helpful to as many people as possible. This is a lesson to me and you both. I will guarantee you each article will be like an essay (or a science lab, if you're a nerd, like me). I will have quotes/evidences and clear analysis, as well as some personal experiences included, and perhaps interviews the great authors I mentioned (if applicable).

▶ ▶ ▶ FAQ

1. Do you gain any profit by doing this?

Depends on what profit are you referring to.

Do I gain money? Do I gain followers on my personal account? No and no. (This is a foolish, suicidal way to gain any of the two mentioned above. Too much time and effort and not fool-proofed enough.)

Do I gain knowledge? Would I help giving back to Wattpad community and hopeful help those lone sheeps out there in some way? Yeah, those are the profit I'm chasing after.

2. How often are you going to post topics?

I'm not sure. I'm hoping one topic per month, but we will see.

3. Can I suggest a topic for you to cover?

Yes. In fact, I'm hoping for you to XD You can pop by our profile wall or PM us, or comment on this book.

4. Can I contribute to a topic? Or can I write up an article as a guest writer?

Yes. PM me the topic, outline what you want or how do you want people to understand the topic. Once I approved, send me the copy via Gmail.

Now, please enjoy The Guide!
