The pic up there is the reference I used for today's piece. It's the cover for his Best Of album called "Idolize Yourself". I saw it at the store and I just HAD to have it. And yes, I do have this vinyl in my room. And yes, sometimes I catch myself staring at it for solid 33 seconds. Whaddaya gon do 'bout it, huh? This drawing is literally my heart and my soul and I regret not having the original anymore. But at the same time, my ass is to shy to ask her if I can have it back and give her a copy. I really tried. I failed.
So when I finished writing about the history of rock and metal and a short version of Billy Idol's biography, I put in the drawing.

Das Bild oben diente mir als Vorlage für das heutige Meisterwerk. Es ist das Albumcover für sein Best Of Album namens "Idolize Yourself". Ich hab's im Laden gesehen und MUSSTE es einfach haben. Und ja, ich hab die Schallplatte in meinem Zimmer. Und ja, manchmal erwische ich mich selbst dabei, es für ganze 33 Sekunden lang ununterbrochen anzustarren. Was wollt ihr dagegen machen, huh? Dieses Bild ist buchstäblich mein Herz und meine Seele und ich bereue es, nicht mehr im Besitz des Originals zu sein. Gleichzeitig bin ich auch zu schüchtern, um die Lehrerin danach zu fragen, es mir wieder zu geben und eine Kopie anzunehmen. Ich hab's wirklich versucht. Ich bin gescheitert.
Als ich also fertig damit war, über die Geschichte von Rock und Metal und eine Kurzfassung der Biographie von Billy Idol zu schreiben, hab ich das Bild da reingeklatscht.
