Rin POV

The girl jumped out of the pool and towards a chair where im guessing her towel was. She looked at me and my face turned bright red. I don't know why but it did.

She chuckled and walked off. I don't know why I did what I did but, I did it. I grabed her wrist. "What do you want?" She said pulling her hand away from me. "What's your name?" I ask. "Why should I tell you?" She answers.

"D-do you want to have a race?" I ask stuttering. Stupid, stupid, stupid! I mentally face palm myself multiple times. "Sure. Im always up for a race." She answers putting her towel down. My face lights up as I run to the diving board.

"Get ready to lose." I say putting on my goggles. I just noticed something... she's not wearing goggles. That's starnge. "Don't be too sad when I beat ya." I boast. "Im not going to be sad at all." She answers not looking at me.

"Go." I say leaping into the water. She does the same except she ends up ahead of me. I kick my legs harder and harder. I look over to her and her eyes are closed. She's not going to see where the wall is. I surface and take a breath of air. The girl comes up also but I don't hear her gasp for air. I circle my arms.

The girl passes me and hits the wall. Our eyes meet as she bores ahead. What is she? She might even be better than Nanase! I hit the wall and trail behind her.

I kick my legs harder and harder. I make my strokes stronger. But she still is ahead! Is she an Olympic swimmer I don't know about ir something?

She hits the wall and waits for a little bit. I slam my hand against the wall and take im deep breaths. "That was fun." She says hopping out of the water. She holds out her hand for me and I take it.

"Y/N." She says. "Huh?" I say back with a confused look. "Y/N. My name is Y/N. You asked earlier." She answers. Y/N. That's a really pretty name. "Rin Matsuoka." I say.

"Hey, would you like to join our swim club? We could really use someone like you on the team." I ask. "Nah. Sorry, but I'm trying out for Iwatabi tomorrow." She answers grabbing her towel and walking off. "See ya around shark boy." She says waving.

"Shark boy?" I say quietly.
